Bobbisangel~~ It was not you. I think it was me. I had replied to "Calsunsd" . Twice,first time being nice, the second time I may have got a little mad... It's(calsunsd blog) and my two that are now deleted.

I am just so hurt by seeing all the destruction that a murder does to the family and friends. I see it first hand and it BREAKS my heart....

Totally agree, Elliemae! I constantly look for news with this case. It is in my head forever. We need closure, and Tori and Dean need justice.

I wonder if LE is doing anything since the news conference? I have an idea they held that news conference just to pacify Dayna and Roy. I don't think they have any intention of butting heads with the Potts family and all of the big wigs that they are friends with. It seems like they have an in with every politician in that town plus some crooked senator and those bigwigs are related to other bigwigs right down to the DA. Strings have been pulled and it is unbelievable to me.

Little Dean was hung in his crib for heaven's sake :furious: Who can just put that aside and not want to see the person who did that horrible act punished?
What kind of parents alibi for their murderer son when he did something so horrific? They know that he wasn't at home that night yet they would lie on the stand under oath if it ever came to that. What kind of people are they anyway to cover for a monster? Baby Dean was their grandson. He looked enough like the sperm donar that even without DNA testing...which was done..anyone could tell who the father of that beautiful baby was.

We hear about coverups but we are seeing one right before our eyes. I don't know what next step Dayna and Roy should take but I personally don't think LE intends to do anymore then they have done so far. They are all talk. I will never believe that DNA wasn't left in that apartment or that there wasn't DNA on the knot of the noose made to hang baby Dean. Whether it is still at the police department remains to be seen of course. I don't believe for a minute that the sperm donar was smart enough not leave some DNA behind.

This murder just makes me furious. Why people aren't just outraged over the hanging of that baby boy is just beyond belief. I don't care how much money the family of the killer has or how many connections his family has. The hanging of that little guy should touch every single heart that is aware of it. Every single LE officer should have that baby on his/her mind day and night with the determination to put that sperm donar away forever. What can be done to get this case resolved????????????????????????????

Do we know what evidence LE does have? Is there anyway that Dayna and family can petition to see what the evidence is? Would they have the right to have the evidence examined by an independent source? I just can't believe the lack of progress, and there has to be someway to move this forward.

I don't know that LE has ever said if there was any evidence. They way things have gone I wouldn't be surprised if there had been evidence it has probably "gotten lost" by now. Nothing would surprise me with this LE. I don't remember what Dayna and Roy have been told about evidence but if they haven't been told anything I sure would have my butt down at the PD asking questions. They deserve some answers. LE can at least tell them if there is evidence or not. I'll never believe that there wasn't.

I really believe that Dayna and Roy need to put a petition together...gather signatures here on the internet and around their town. Send it to the Attorney General or Gov. Something has to jump start this investigation. I don't see this case ever getting solved unless someone starts pushing hard. I don't understand why the FBI wasn't called in in the first place. How often do you hear of a baby being hung in his crib? It is just so horrific. Tori's murder was just as bad but babies usually catch the attention of people. Not so in this case. If I knew what to do I would gladly do it.

There isn't a petition to sign yet. I think that Dayna and Roy would have to get one together and I'm not sure if they are comfortable to do that yet. I think it is the right thing to do but this isn't my case and maybe I'm pushier!
I just don't see anything happening in this case until something is done.

I would love to fly to San Diego and talk to LE but to tell you the truth there is no way I could afford to do it. My income is so limited...SSD... but I'm great at writing emails and letters and I sign petitions real well..lol. It's frustrating to not be able to do anything from here while Dennis Potts is just living his life like nothing ever happened. I detest him and his parents. Baby Dean is never far from my thoughts and I just don't understand why LE isn't outraged over his hanging. Maybe emails to the police department? I'll try and find their email address.

I've been out of the loop for the last few weeks because of personal reasons and I don't see that changing in the near future. But I wanted to let you all know I did receive a personal letter just the other day, from the producers (?) or someone from AMW. Unfortunately, it's not good for Tori and Dean.

I don't even remember now when I wrote to AMW, but it was early on in this case. They've turned down this story.

I'm sorry, but I honestly tried. I can't believe they would turn down such a horrendous crime to feature. If there's any other shows that anyone can think of that might do an investigative piece on this case that could help to bring answers and arrest of the person who committed this horrible act, let me know and I'll do it. I'll even call them if it would help. I believe I also wrote to Nancy Grace but never heard anything back.

I want justice in this case. It's obvious what happened but we need proof. If we could just catch the attention of the RIGHT news agency, perhaps this case can be solved.

In the meantime, my well wishes to Tori's family. It might take awhile but don't give up. Never give up! until you have the right answers. It could take awhile, but IMHO, there's enough circumstantial evidence, albeit not for a conviction, but to lead to the perpetrator of this crime. Now you just need a few more pieces of the puzzle that could convince a grand jury and then a jury of his peers, beyond a reasonable doubt. I believe those answers are out there, we just need to find out what they are.

Did AMW say why they are refusing to do a show on Tori and Dean? That just blows my mind. What we need is that darn detective who is the lead in this case to contact AMW and ask them to do the show. I know that friends of mine contacted AMW when my daughter was murdered and were refused but when our lead detective contacted them they agreed right away. Don't ask me why. I guess they want to discuss the facts of the case with LE before they commit.

Do you know if there are several different LE agencys in San Diego or is there just one? I just have no idea who to contact there to try and get them to contact AMW. I'll check on the internet and see what I can find.

Here is the email I wrote to him....Dear Chief,

There is a young woman in your city named Tori Viennuau who was 22 yrs old and was murdered a year ago. She was beat about the head and then strangled. Her baby boy, Dean Springstube who was 10 months old was also murdered. This baby boy was HUNG with a noose in his crib. So far this case hasn't been solved.

It is well known that Tori was meeting with baby Dean's father, Dennis Potts, the evening that she was murdered to talk about child support. It is also well known that Dennis Potts family are well connected politically including a Senator and I believe the DA.

I don't know Tori's parents or anyone connected to this case but I have followed it since it happened. I also lost a daughter to murder in 1993. Her killer ran and was on the run for 8 years. I know how it feels to lose a child in such a horrible manner and not see justice for years. Tori's parents also have to live with the horror of baby Dean being hung in his crib. What kind of a meniac would hang a baby...much less his own son? It is just beyond my imagination and it is heart breaking to say the least.

To be quite honest, it doesn't seem that much has been done in this case. Dennis Potts dad says Dennis was at home that night. That is a lie. He also said that Dennis was at a friends.
What about DNA? Personally, I don't think that Dennis Potts is smart enough to NOT leave some DNA behind. Especially on the knot of the noose. Tori's head was bashed in in the back and then she was strangled. There must have been a lot of blood. No fingerprints or footprints in blood?

I believe that America's Most Wanted would do a segment on this case to get things moving. When our lead detective contacted AMW they agreed right away to do my daughter's case. Why hasn't this been done yet? It takes the police to make anything happen on AMW because they need facts about the case. Could you do that please?

Sir, we need justice for this little 10 month old baby. What if he had been your grandson? I know that you would find justice for him or die trying. Dennis Potts is the only person that had a motive to murder Tori and Dean. Please don't allow the Potts family connections cause this case to be placed on a back burner never to be solved.
