Has anyone looked into the possibility of the 2 magic mountain express jackets belonging to these two?

The pictured clothing/belongings were recovered during a search of a serial offender’s tractor trailer cab (additional items were recovered that are not pictured). The offender has been linked to multiple homicide/missing person cases from the late 1970s to the early 1990s. As a long-haul truck driver, the offender has been through over 30 states at various times. Therefore, investigators are asking the public to review the items and notify authorities if they recognize any.

You could be onto something. Magic Mountain Express was a rollercoaster in Valencia, 1973 to 1980. I think it was a Six Flags? I wonder if they worked there.

It's a possibility. Great work @DS2021! I've also thought about them being tourists, which would explain the lack of matching missing persons reports in California. If so, they could be from anywhere.

I do admit the tourist theory doesn't really jive with the Magic Mountain Express Logo, so being workers is the stronger possibility. I wonder if there's still records of employees in the park from the late 70s.

Jane Doe's profile was updated recently. I can finally say that we have ruled Lisa Sprague out as being Jane Doe. The news is very bittersweet for me. I believed with my whole heart that this Jane Doe was Lisa, but I'm glad that we finally have an answer.

On the other hand, I wonder why Andria Bailey was never ruled out.

So everyone's on the same page, the family of Pem Yates-Briggs believe that UP4389 could be Pem. She was reported missing last month and DNA has been submitted to compare. Fingers crossed!

I think the resemblance, especially to this reconstruction, is uncanny and the stats line up. The telephone contact with her by a family member in 1984 can’t be verified, so I think that leaves her open as a potential match.

One of my major questions about this case, besides the identities of the women, of course, is why they would only take DNA from one of the sets of remains. They had two skulls so they knew there were two sets of remains, so why was only one sample taken.

I'm wondering if it's possible that UP4388 may have DNA available after all. It's wishful thinking, but a possibility.

She's a bit young and far away, yes?
Anita was last seen by her family at a family event, so it seems like she was already estranged from them? From what I've seen and heard, the Los Angeles area is an attractive area for teenage runaways (even if Anita wasn't one, she was on her own.)

Age is also not too far off. I've seen larger discrepancies turn out to be a match.

Age is +/- two years, pretty close.

In the 70s and 80s, everybody was heading to Hollywood hoping to be discovered and become a big star, and people who weren't into the star thing were still thinking lots of good jobs, warm climate, beaches! beaches! It's still a big thing but back then it was a big shining beacon of dreams.
