Family asking for help finding missing woman traveling from Oklahoma to Fresno | KMPH

A woman traveling from Oklahoma to Fresno has not made it and the family is using social media to help find her.

• Vicky Jean Ivey was staying in Oklahoma after she lost her brother on Mon, Mar 1.
• She got on a Greyhound bus Tuesday morning and then called her son, JI, on Wednesday using a phone she borrowed.
• She said she was 2 hours from Los Angeles and would be in Fresno at 10:50 Wednesday night but nobody has heard from her since.
• Greyhound confirmed to JI that his mother did get off in L.A. but can't confirm that she got back on.
• JI says Greyhound told him his mothers' ticket was punched in Fresno, meaning someone used it, but it does not mean it was used by his mother.
• JI says his mother is very familiar with the Central Valley and would not get lost going to Hanford where the family lives.
• They are searching the area from Fresno to San Bernadino.

WOW!!! She fell asleep and when she woke up the bus was in Bakersfield.

So glad to hear she was found safe. Thank you.

Nine days stranded with no money. And she had to use someone elses phone.

Does that mean her phone and maybe bag was stolen while she slept.

I'm so glad this has a good ending.

I'm not sure she had much of anything with her to begin with. She didn't have a phone before she slept the giant sleep, and someone else purchased the ticket for her. Poor woman, we had a big for Central Valley storm in Tuesday and Wednesday.
