And all of the kids were unified in saying no way was it M/S (how could they NOT be unified in that, since, if one said, nope, it could've very well been M/S, it would stick out as a potential red flag??).. but yet, 4 years later, we hear that during initial police statement(s) (which were previously reported as having taken place within the first days after the murders), made the statement that yeah but, they slept in separate bedrooms for the past 10 years, and they didn't get along, and their private togetherness was much different from what they portrayed publicly.. it almost sounds like... someone else, when they proclaimed that Barry HATED Honey. So when I think about that, I almost get a sense of..... while saying one thing in unison with the family, little messages to the contrary, but not blunt messages, were being sent out to police at the time when they were in the process of making a determination. And perhaps that served some kind of a purpose? imo. When one thinks about it, what a great 'reverse psychology' type of thing.. ie, can't look at me, because I'm proclaiming it COULDN'T be M/S, but here are some juicy tidbits that might indicate something else, perhaps possibly that it COULD have been(???), because really, they didn't get along and hadn't slept together in 10 years, something only those the very closest to them might know.

maybe but if that was the case why not just think up a pill and kill her, why commit suicide after? if he really hated her he would not have any guilt?

We already know that before the deaths JS was attempting to undermine BS' mentality/stability and capabilities handling money with the family and businesses BS headed. We also have read that BS suffered from insomnia, maybe BS did go to the guest room on occasion and JS' comment made it seem like a nightly occurrence. I am not ready to call it a lie, it could be an extension of the truth.

According to emails b/n family members as made public, instigated I believe was JS. Interesting that JS was attempting to undermine BS's ability in handling money with family and businesses, but not when it came to JS asking for and receiving money from BS.
Edit to add- this may have come about more so as a result of BS's backing FDA.

Initially I thought that, but now I'm thinking the NW may have had HS tied up but still alive when BS arrived home. He may have tortured her a bit, (hitting etc) to get BS talking, or just to torture BS! Making him watch such horror would be so traumatic.

If the person behind these killing hated BS that much, their sinister mind would love to torment BS a bit before his death. They would want BS to suffer as much as possible before death.
Remember the way they died. Strangling someone takes time and a lot of strength.

Agreed except I would say that strangling takes very little time in fact. Strangulation Can Leave Long-Lasting Injuries

I agree. And despite police telling us they have the NW on cctv going to and from the Sherman home they didn’t adjust the timeframe of the murders. It still stands between 9-12. It makes me think he spent those hours in the home.

Or even adding a plastic bag over the head with the tie around the neck, would speed up the death.

"LE looking for ties" I would think not likely since they deemed the Shermans deaths to be M/S the first week after they were found.
However, I do think had they found ties in the road drains, they would not have ignored them. (?)

I think that timeframe was based on the NW video, before they told us about the video.
