Sherman "had bankrolled the cousins’ various business activities with millions of dollars for many years."

^^ Was Barry Sherman generous and caring when he bankrolled the cousins with millions of dollars over many years? Why would he have bothered to give the cousins a dime (or millions) if he didn't 'care'?

Ontario Superior Court Justice Kenneth Hood, in his September 2017 ruling, called it “wishful thinking” that the cousins were owed money by Sherman, who had bankrolled the cousins’ various business activities with millions of dollars for many years.

Just because Barry Sherman won in court, it does not mean he was right, just that he may have had better lawyers. And I don't know how many "millions" he bankrolled the cousins, but that seems to be a small pittance compared to the value of the company he seems to have stolen from them, don't you think?

YES!!!! Andreww:
People have to understand the great philanthropist Barry Sherman. The press may have painted him as a generous caring person, but in truth I believe that every single one of those donations came with a price tag. Sherman & Co. know exactly how to use money to get what they want. We are talking about having access to police chiefs, mayors, premiers, and prime ministers. People will dance for money, don't kid yourself. <modsnip>

Kerry, Understanding you have feelings and opinions about Barry, and his demise.

To your knowledge was there anybody who was angry enough with Barry and/or Honey who specifically would have wanted them dead? Does the staging of the bodies 'speak to you' in any way?

How successful would the 4 cousins have been in the further development of the company since the youngest reached the age of 21?
Would the main company still exist or would it have long been bankrupt?
Would one of the sub-companies ever have been founded?
Would there be a corporate empire today or just a major company or none of this?

Winning in the courts was so crucial to his success that he liked to tell his employees they worked for a legal company that happened to sell medications.

They (cousins) deserve nothing.

I respectfully disagree. When one wins in court, one is seen to be correct in the eyes of the law.

You don't know how many millions he bankrolled but that has nothing to do with the value of the company that was PURCHASED (not stolen) from the estate of Lou Winter.

I believe he paid much less than $1M for the initial company. Just don't have the time to research it.
Approx $300,000 comes to mind.

IF what you mean is it is a pittance compared to their cousins net worth, that is irrelevant.

Barry Sherman BOUGHT a very small, floundering company from the estate of their father.

A few years later, he AND his partner sold it.

What is the motive? Money, revenge, political or industrial espionage?

Why would he kill himself as well? Why not just stage her death as suicide, or clean himself up and stage a bungled burglary and he came home to the discovery of her body left where she was originally attacked? Why didn't he want to live afterwards if he had planned for years to have her murdered?

Good questions Tortoise.

It's pretty presumptuous to say that Barry would have put up a fight, and Honey would not have. I don't see any evidence to suggest that Barry would be the obvious one.

Additionally, their hands were restrained, and likely tied, then the ties removed once hung. You're right, hard to do that yourself, therefore someone else doing it to them is a fair thought. TPS thinks so also.

Furthermore, the perp(s) could have purposely banged up Honey more than Barry to make it look that much more *like* a M/S.

(RS&BBM)
Additionally, their hands were restrained, and likely tied,
"Additionally, their hands were restrained, and likely tied,"

I'm trying (with no success) to "visualize" the alleged perp(s) tying their hands, while BS and HS had their winter coats on

Did they first pull the coats' sleeves up, so they can have access to their wrists?

, then the ties removed once hung. .
"And then removing the ties once hung. "

We were told HS's face was bloody from cuts on her nose and lip, and that she was at some point lying face down bleeding on a tile by the pool.

Then she was sat on that pool of her own blood, and hung from the railing, in a semi-sitting position. Ties removed, and coats pulled down their arms.

Again, trying to "visualize" how this can be accomplished without standing very close to the victims, and avoid standing on blood.
Did the alleged perp(s) leave a trail of bloody footprints/shoeprints on their way out?
I guess the alleged perp(s) could have cleaned up the crime scene(s) with bleach, and wore gloves, etc.

Idk, but something just doesn't add up.
ALL JUST SPECULATION, JMO, MOO, and thinking out loud.

I am curious why Barry would think you would be willing to kill Honey

Nice photo you have discovered!
I wonder what exactly might BS have had demonstrated with his arms in this corporate portrait?

ETA: Getting on a straightjacket ....?

It's quite an aggressive pose isn't it. His fist seems to be saying don't mess with me.

He looks like he is simply rolling up his sleeves.

I'm also missing his usual smile - and his white lab coat. Interesting, looking at a pic so different to the many others.

Btw: Rolling up his sleeves, I don't suppose at all.

Agree, it's different from all other pictures we've seen, which are mostly of social events, posing smiling for the camera.

This picture with sleeves rolled up like saying I'm ready for a fight, you do as I tell you or else, I'll punch you in the face. :pcguru:
Not sure how to interpret the crossed arms.

There is the article somewhere about the cousin Kerry saying that Barry asked him to kill Honey two times. I wonder what made Barry think that the cousin was a killer.

Rolling up his sleeves getting ready to fight. Which fits with what I have read about his personality.

I wish TPS or Mr. Greenspan would do an occasional 'update' on this case. Even if its to let the public know that it will be taking another few court cases to get data information from Apotex (for example).

Its nearly 6 months and its like the case has fallen off the face of the earth, although I understand that the police have mountains of work to complete and oodles of trails to follow.

Wonder whats happened with the properties? Both the Forest Hill 'new build' and Old Colony Rd.

Perhaps, on the next nice day, I will take a peek for myself.
