That link doesn’t work for me either. Is there any chance that someone could post a screenshot of the younger BM?

Thank you.

Would you be able to pm them to me too? Pretty new to the site and not sure how to work much yet. I’d really appreciate it!

Some people might not be able to see the links because of security settings (their own).

And just a little “heads-up”: asking for, or offering info by pm which can’t be posted on thread is frowned upon by WS, let’s not get the thread shut down.

I was just reading the latest mystery / thriller by Jonathan Kellerman, who is a psychologist as well as a darned good author (IMO), and was struck by a comment by his protagonist (also a psychologist) that psychopaths often enjoy the aftermath of a crime as much or more than the crime itself. It made me imagine BM sitting in his cell - where he likely has access to media - regretting finally being caught but just loving all the investigation and excavation and attention. It must give him a tremendous sense of power. That's why, like Pickton, I doubt he will ever admit to anything or disclose any information.

Although Det. Idsinga didn’t elaborate to what extent, this snip-it from TorStar stuck out to me as this was from around when they honed in on the Leaside/Mallory home. They had uncovered 3 remains at this point, none ID’d but had laid 5 charges and knew approximate dates/time periods of death and a good idea how Kinsman and Selim were murdered. Yes, we know a “source” stated photographic evidence was uncovered at the arrest. Here, Idsinga does not confirm or deny that. Intriguing he follows that with the next bit though.

“Asked Monday if police have uncovered some kind of record made by McArthur, Idsinga did not say, but stated briefly that McArthur had spoken to investigators.”

In MOO, it might be a combination (BM answered information about the evidence presented) but I think that either of his own volition or on advice of his lawyer, he’ll hold back a lot as bargaining chips while in prison or for glorification in a tell-all.

[h=1]MANDEL: Serial killer researcher tried to warn T.O. police[/h]
Reid, 29, has spent years building two databases: the first is comprised of unsolved murders and missing people in Canada. She has 700 on that list from Toronto alone. The second is her comprehensive list of 5,000 known serial killers in history and their characteristics, from family history and any childhood trauma to type of victims and disposal methods, to learn what they have in common.

“I love patterns,” she explains. “I love building databases and finding patterns.”
It was while adding names to the first list that she noticed a “cluster” of missing men around Church St. that seemed to confirm the worries voiced by many in the LGBTQ community. “I definitely noticed a trend beyond what you’d statistically expect,” she recalls. “I felt it was incumbent on me to see what I could do.”

So she called 911.
Validated by the arrest, she now waits to see what else we’ll learn as McArthur goes through the court system. And if he’s ultimately convicted, she’d like nothing more than to interview him.

“I’ve always been interested in understanding monsters.”

I saw this on CTV News tonight but couldn’t find a link online except info from CTV W5 on Twitter. I hope it’s ok to share. I hope I’m not breaking any rules!

“Tomorrow night on @CTVW5. The case that's captivated the country. An alleged serial killer targeting men in Toronto’s Gay Village. @avery_haines sits down with lead homicide investigator Det. Sgt. Hank Idsinga in an exclusive interview about the investigation. 7pm #W5TheMissing”

All MOO.

Interesting article outlining what TPS had theorized happened to the missing men of Project Houston, admitted by Idsinga himself. I find it incredibly difficult to comprehend how anyone could have come to these conclusions, given the information they had at the time, and the information we have now.

Interesting article, wondering if BM has been out to BC recently?
Just noting, fwi.

This episode of W5 started a few minutes ago...depending on which time-zone you are watching in.

It was called Project Houston, because "Houston we have a problem!!!"

Online Canabalism Ring tip....during Project Houston.

:thud:

Only one of the six different remains have been connected to a named victim.

We know that the young man found at BM's apt. when he was arrested was handcuffed on the bed ,but according to the show he was also gagged.

After Kayhan went missing, his friend named "Chris" who dated Kayhan told LE about a guy named Bruce who visited Kayhan once while "Chris" was there. He gave them his internet handle....that was 6 years ago

Some of the victims were killed in the apartment, can't be specific of some were killed in the van.

They have no evidence that BM was part of a cannibal ring.
