Hmmm, in reading some very interesting comments in the above RCMP facebook post, someone mentions that Canadian Serial Killer Clifford Olson was working for a relative at a lumber mill in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan during the timeframe of Dorothy's disappearance.

That led me to do a little digging and I came upon an excellent podcast that covers the entire timeline of Clifford Olson from his birth right through. The podcast is based upon the book (and goes by the same name) I've linked below. The podcast confirms that he and his girlfriend at the time, Evelyn, aged 20, (he was 35), headed to Hudson Bay to hide out from a warrant out for him (for molesting a 14 year old boy) and lived with relatives of hers while there. Dorothy certainly fits in with his victim profile.

Clifford Olson officially committed his first murder in 1980. In 1980 Clifford Olson would have been 40 years old - so quite a late start serial-killer wise. Unless, of course, he actually started prior to the 'official first'.

Here's the book link (I am going to have to try to get a copy of this)

If it were Olson that disappeared her, and he was raping young boys and girls (and did time) prior to 1974 ... and vacationed in the USofA too prior ... I have no doubt that she is in the woods of Hudson Bay area north of town. The woods were his preferred dumping grounds. Hudson Bay is bordered by a very large forested area to it's east and it's northern border merges with vast wilderness.
