Brother in law and his sister CC was posting all day. KC and CC are married.
Okay dumb question but what is a BIL? Also I was on the page today and I got a bit pissy with the reporter. I found her report to be very clear and point the finger at KCR. After much back and forth she did make it clear there are other POI but refused to elaborate. Its really unfair to do that with so many ppl so heated and concerned. This report was more about ratings then concern for the truth or justice for Jessica. Disappointing to say the least

Oh yes and she mocked the discussion happening on her page calling us "arm chair detectives"! Lol:drumroll:

Also from her reply it was obvious that she had no knowledge of the 2nd room mate.

Okay that makes sense :) I am trying to be as unbiased as possible but its difficult when reports sound very clear but are very lacking. I like everyone else Im sure just want to know the truth.

Arrest made is a misnomer he has been taken in for questioning and charges are expected later today. CPS has not released his name and will not due so until charges are filed. No other news source that I have found has released his name other than Nancy Hixt at Global.

From the linked article:

Police expect to send out more information once he sees a justice of the peace.

WADR, I don't understand why you think this person is not under arrest. If a person is in police custody, is not free to leave and is waiting to appear before a JP, and has charges pending, IMO, those are clear indicators that a person is under arrest.

He was brought in for questioning this morning at the time of my post, had not been charged at that point, nor named by any credible news source. Had not been named at that time by CPS because he had not been charged yet. Which is standard with any ethical media with the exception of Global news.

The man is in custody for questioning. At this time, he has not been charged. He does not have the right to have counsel present during questioning.

"Newman’s ex-boyfriend, Kevin Rubletz, was taken into police custody on Friday. Global News has learned Rubletz will be formally charged with the second-degree murder of Newman.

Rubletz is the father of her two-year-old son. Police expect to send out more information once he sees a justice of the peace."

Sorry kdg .. maybe my post wasn't as clear as it could have been. I was referring to your statement "arrest made is a misnomer". When I said "this person", I was not referring to KR specifically, but whomever is in police custody..

When an individual is in police custody and is not free to leave, they have been arrested.

There is a significant difference between 'detain' and 'arrest'.

"In its use of the word detention, §10 of the Charter is directed to a restraint of liberty other than arrest in which a person may reasonably require the assistance of counsel but might be prevented or impeded from retaining and instructing counsel without delay but for the constitutional guarantee.

http://www.duhaime.org/LegalDictionary/D/Detention.aspx

Someone who is detained is not necessarily arrested. The person of interested was detained and questioned. Some time later, he was arrested.

"The police have a common law right to detain people for investigative purposes. The investigation must be based on a "reasonable suspicion that the particular individual is implicated in the criminal activity under investigation" for it to be considered lawful.[1]

An officer's grounds to believe an offence has been committed will fall short of being "objectively reasonable and probable" allowing for an arrest. It the officer instead has a "reasonable suspicion" that the suspect was involved in a criminal offence, it may be enough to justify investigative detention.[2]"

Can't wait to hear what evidence if any CPS may share when they hold a press confrence
