Fort Erie residents are looking in Chippawa, ON near the docks for Marissa. Thank you so much people!!! I know LE are looking in Ohsweken at Six Nations but there are very good reasons to look in Chippawa too, it seems. Good luck!

Friends of Marissa Whalen have gathered in Chippawa near the boat docking area on Lyons Creek Road.

The organizer says she wants to search where Marissa had been in the last few weeks of her life.

She is also focusing on areas where the accused suspects lived and spent time.

:banghead:Could this possibly be a Caylee Anthony copycat murder?

Of course it is. Casey Anthony has taught all these monsters how to get away with murder. Keep your mouth shut long enough for the remains to completely decompose... leaving zero physical evidence... and you too can kill your child and get away with it. Bella Vita!! :banghead::banghead:

Some Fort Erie residents have organized a search party today for a two year old girl who is missing and believed dead.

Today, officers continue to search a Six Nations Reserve near Brantford for the body of a Fort Erie toddler.

Two women including Marissa's mother are facing charges.

A forensic team is focusing it's search on an area within the Six Nations Reserve on 3rd Line, Ohsweken.

Marissa's mother, 23 year old Roseanne Whalen is charged with criminal negligence causing death, accessory after the fact to murder and indignity to human remains.

An family acquaintance, 28 year old Rainbow Hill is charged with second degree murder.

Hill will appear in court Nov. 1.

Although Marissa hadn't been seen for almost three months, police did not receive a report of her disappearance until last week.

Here we go again. :(

Niagara police have charged a 28-year-old Fort Erie woman with the second-degree murder in connection with the death of a two-year-old girl.

Police launched an investigation Oct. 8 to search for the missing child, who lived in Fort Erie. The circumstances of her disappearance led them to believe foul play was involved and the major crime unit was called in, police said.

3 months. :( . That newborn photo kills me. My sons hands and fingers were really big like that too (his feet too). I see this picture and just want to pick her up, cuddle and kiss her and carry her away from these evil women.

I guess I am glad to see charges against these two women, prior to a body being found unlike the fiasco in Caylee's case. I guess Canadian authorities learnt from FL's mistakes.

Just found out and Rainbow's sister has been arrested as well. Marissa was discovered at around 2 pm today in Six Nations Reserve, RIP Marissa.

Update #3 - Remains Discovered, 3rd Arrest

On Sunday October 16th, 2011 at approximately 2:00 p.m. the remains of a young child were discovered at a site within the Six Nations Territory. The discovery was made after a search of the area near 3rd Line, between Chiefswood Road and Seneca Road in Ohsweken, Ontario. The remains were located in a wooded area near a trail that runs through the area. This is the area where investigators have been concentrating their search efforts for the past several days.

The remains are believed to be that of 2-year-old Marissa Whalen, missing since late July 2011. A conclusive determination of the identity of the remains cannot be made at this time. Further forensic identification efforts will be made to conclusively determine the identity of the child.

The scene surrounding the discovery of the remains continues to be maintained by police pending the conclusion of a complete forensic examination. This examination is expected to take a number of days.

In addition to this recovery, a third person has been arrested in relation to this ongoing investigation. On Sunday October 16th, 2011 members of the Niagara Regional Police Service arrested and charged 30-year-old Amanda Dipota of Niagara Falls with Accessory After the Fact to Murder and Indignity to Human Remains. Amanda Dipota is the sister of Rainbow E. Hill, a female currently facing 2nd degree murder charges in this investigation.
