Is there a way to test for possible Covid after death?
if death was recent, definitely! we use the normal nasopharnygeal swab. once time has passed* and decomp sets in... i really doubt it. covid can survive on surfaces for several days (ive heard up to 28 days but idk what the conditions were) so i assume in a body, it would also act as a fomite and degenerate eventually. the presence of all that decomp bacteria might also make such tests invalid.
* i believe LE believe she died up to a year prior to being found

I just read through the case, and... Wow. It sounds like Neveah was doing well in foster care and her foster parents offered to continue to help the bio mom with her needs even after Neveah was returned to her care.
I also don't believe the mom's story for a second. I'm genuinely shocked she hasn't been charged with something, even if authorities 100% believe her.

Completely agree! Just WOW. Sad really but.........I'm speechless.

I agree! It was such a difficult read. I don’t believe her story and I CANT believe no one has been charged. Or at least some kind of attempt to find “Mary and John from Tim Hortons”? Maybe the fact the police haven’t tried to find the Tim Hortons people is because they know those people didn’t exist. I’m not sure. It was shocking to read this and think wait what… this is the same girl from Rosedale who they found?

Edit: also this explains why they mention the 2021 date as possibly when she died because they last saw her alive June 2021 (CAS)

This case seems to be related and seems to show the mother of the girl identified as NV in the court docs giving explaination of what her alibi was and why she didn’t come forward. It’s quite suspect to hear. Take a read!/
Thank god she has no access to those children. She seems completely disengaged with them other than the fact they are hers. She should never have access again, imo, for the sake of the children. She is so incurious yet cagey.

She reminds me a bit of CM in the UK case...

Convinced she's entitled to her kids, not acknowledging at all that her parenting and behaviour is putting her kids in danger.

I think John and Mary only exist in her mind. I think they're a fiction to disguise that Neveah died of neglect or deliberate action that doesn't leave a mark, like smothering.

Thank goodness the other kids are away from her.

MOO

Did I miss reading it in the document - where are the father(s) of these children? Apologies if I've missed it.
In the court docs linked above, the mother has 6 kids listed:

13yo AM resides with bio father
11yo R is in foster care
9yo A is in foster care
6yo IZ is subject of the request for a care order. Father is deceased.
5yo J's father is unknown. The person claimed (by the mother) to be the bio father has been ruled by the court not to meet the legal definition of a parent.
NV Neveah - deceased

For the other children no father is mentioned, that I could see.

The oldest is with her Bio dad and I think that’s it for fathers altho the judge does state the names of some of the fathers verbally he says it towards the end but they didn’t put it in the document notes online from what I saw. Good point.

It blew my mind that she was able to get custody of SOME of her kids back, especially a nonverbal autistic child (Nv who was thriving with her foster parents who even offered to help the mom after she was no longer in their care) when she has previously been proven unable to care for her children. I worry she will be pregnant again and, again hide it. But hopefully Childrens Aid is on her at the hospital if that happens… it also seems like another case of different CAS jurisdictions not really communicating with eachother…

So she handed Nv off to two random strangers she seemingly just met the day before at a fast food restaurant. Why not give her back to the state?

I don't believe her story but I suppose it's not impossible that she stumbled upon a couple that wanted to take Nv...for nefarious purposes. MOO.

Who is CM?

How on earth does anyone just hand off a child to random strangers? And, these strangers don’t call police? Something is wrong with this scenario. JMO
