Search continues along river for missing Sask. boy, 4

Sgt. Berry Wauters with the Prince Albert Police Service said the search for Sweetgrass Kennedy continues to focus on the North Saskatchewan River, where police said Friday their search was being directed.
...
Alana Moshenko, the boy's aunt, said in a Facebook message to The Canadian Press that the child's mother is in shock, and that the family is asking for prayers that he returns home safely.
...
Wauters said there was no limit to how far downstream the searchers were looking. He said a search aircraft flew along the river to where it empties into Tobin Lake, about 100 kilometres away.

But he said he wasn't aware of any clues being found.
...
Police haven't said what led them to focus on the river, saying only in a news release Friday that it was prompted by "numerous witness interviews" as well as "evidence located."

Wauters said police have continued to receive tips, which they follow up, but that none so far have turned out to be significant.

He said he expected police to speak more about the case Monday.

Thread after thread after thread of boys and men ending up in the water. It's such a bizarre phenomenon. I just pray this one can end differently. Such a precious little face, and such a distinctive name.

Said they thought he fell into the water, reminded people how big the river is, touched by all the people who came out to search.
(If I heard correctly)

:(

Did they say anything about the circumstances of his disappearance?

Non-verified FB rumours
from parents and relatives are that the witnesses are the kids he was playing with, and he was seen either being pushed or falling into the river...

Missing 4-year-old seen playing by the river before falling in: Prince Albert police

A four-year-old boy was last seen playing with a group of children on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River on May 10, according to the Prince Albert Police Service.
...
Police said that on Friday, they received a tip from a witness that had seen children playing on the riverbank in the 800 block of River Street east, which was only blocks away from the child's home.

Based on witness testimony, police learned that Sweetgrass Kennedy had fallen into the water and had not been seen emerging from the water.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saska...ore-falling-in-prince-albert-police-1.4668211

The boy was last seen on May 10 around 3 p.m. in the 900 block of Second Street East in Prince Albert. Police and fire crews received information as a search was underway that children had been seen in the area playing along the riverbank.

Prince Albert police Insp. Jason Stonechild said investigators were “able to discern, with confidence” that Kennedy “had fallen into the water, from which he did not recover.”

Stonechild said investigators talked with eyewitnesses and that “physical evidence from the scene and clothing supports the claims.”

He declined to provide more details, saying that even though there is an age requirement for any criminal charge to be laid — no child under the age of 12 can be charged with an offence — no basis was found for a criminal investigation in the case.

From day 1 I didn't have a great feeling about this case...not apportioning any blame anywhere...just feeling bad about a kid who will probably not be found :(
