Mckenzie was the scene manager at the rural property where Hailey's remains were found. #Saretzky

McKenzie says he seized samples of blood from pot found near fire pit, blood near a child's toy and tire impressions. #Saretzky

McKenzie also attended the autopsy of Terry Blanchette. He took samples of his blood for DNA comparison. #Saretzky

McKenzie is done on the stand and defence is not cross-examining. #Saretzky

Cst. James McConnell is the next witness. He's been with the RCMP since 2006 in general investigations. #Saretzky

McConnell was responsible for filming the reenactment video with #Saretzky.

McConnell says it was 9.7 kilometres to the rural site and took about 19 minutes to get there for the reenactment video. #Saretzky

McConnell was also responsible for collecting a DNA sample from #Saretzky.

I believe DS said in his confession that it was his shoes (and therefore his rubber soles) in the fire.

I believe LE said all of the blood in the van tested as TB's.

I could not find a tweet to back up my claim that the blood in the van was found to be TB's. I'll keep looking but I've been know to make mistakes.

In videotaped interviews with police, Saretzky said he had feelings for Dunbar and that he killed Blanchette because he believed he was abusive towards Dunbar and had given him a dirty look at one point. He also said he'd once dated Cheyenne for several months.
