This is interesting. Thelma and Bob have been married for 29 years and iirc, Lisa Marquis Besser, their daughter, is 34 years-of-age. Thelma, who is now 57 years-of-age, was 28 years-old when she married Robert Senior. The article in the WFP said Lisa is Robert’s stepdaughter so Robert is not Lisa’s biological father and Lisa was 6 years old when Thelma and Robert married.

"You take the most devastating thing that’s ever happened to you in your life, you take the person who is closest to you away, you put yourself in a state of being sad, depressed, lost, confused, exhausted mentally and physically, and then you throw a bunch of people in your face and some video cameras... Until you’re there and in that position, it’s hard to say the right words," Marquis Besser said of her stepfather’s comments.

Thelma loves Bob with all of her heart, they had a great marriage, she loves her kids, her kid’s kid, she loves her life. She wouldn’t put anyone through a quarter of what we’re going through now," said Muscat.

There is a 6th report of a woman finding a wallet or pouch containing cash. One of the additional locations is on the west side of Winnipeg. Portage Ave. and Sturgeon Rd.
This guy was on foot.
Happened July 27th.
Walking path in that location is secluded.
This is an interesting pattern. So far, there don't seem to be any reports beyond what appears to be a "test for a reaction".

However, the pattern is clearly intentional. Maybe the guy is writing a book. Or maybe he's plotting a plan to kidnap someone. Or maybe he already did. I hope LE finds this guy and looks into EVERYTHING about him.

"They HAD a great marriage." Again.

In the latest article published in the WFP, Thelma's family explain why they spoke about Thelma in the past tense.

Yes, they may have referred to her in the past tense during a news conference. No, they promise that wasn’t a sign of trying to hide anything.

Family members know there are some people out there — including members of the police homicide unit now leading the high-profile case — who instantly looked to Bob when Thelma went missing shortly after leaving on a morning hike on July 11. It’s a well-known fact that when foul play is involved, it’s often those closest to the victim who are involved.

Those suspicions, they admit, were likely enhanced when he told members of the media his wife "was" a great person shortly after she vanished.

Until you’re there and in that position, it’s hard to say the right words," Marquis Besser said of her stepfather’s comments.

"We’ve all read at least one or two or more posts (on social media) about somebody’s opinion. You take everything with a grain of salt. It’s hard to hear when somebody’s saying something and they don’t know you. We know their accusation or their opinion is not true. We don’t let it bother us. We know what’s right."

For the record, Bob said he didn’t even realize the slip-of-the-tongue until it was pointed out after the fact. He was out of his element, not comfortable with public speaking but thrust into the media spotlight with the hope it could help develop some leads.
Krull’s best friend and co-worker, Connie Muscat, said everyone within their circle knows Bob wasn’t involved, nor anyone else who loved the missing woman.

"Past tense is something that often happens when you’re talking about a person who’s not literally with you," Muscat said Wednesday.

I wonder if Lisa's biological father is still alive and if so, if he has been questioned by LE?

If Lisa’s biological father is still alive, he probably knows when her son’s birthday is.

they've pretty much ruled out a medical situation and voluntarily walking away from her life. so i don't think it's odd to be using past tense. it wouldn't take long for me to contemplate the worst-case scenario if it were my mother, despite trying to maintain a positive attitude

What I am uncomfortable with is that these woman's names are being published. Now this guy can take his fantasy further if he wishes.

Thelma's family posted an upcoming Facebook event, asking people to put Krull in their thoughts, particularly on Saturday, as the four-week anniversary arrives.

Facebook event message:

"At 7:23 a.m. we ask that people walk, run or jog to remember Thelma but also look around, be aware of your surrounding much like she might have that day 4 weeks ago.
"We are hoping someone remembers something they saw 4 weeks ago.

"Please remember everyone needs to be safe and should not walk alone. Dressing for the weather is important. If you are unable to walk we understand and welcome anyway anyone can help."

Wow, I read this thread a couple of weeks back and I figured she would be located pretty quickly. My initial thought was that she may have had a medical emergency while out walking her normal route. A woman 10 years her senior had that happen just recently here on another thread, collapsed and died while out on her normal walking routine. The only real mystery about it was which walking path she may have chosen that day, they finally did find her within 48 hours or so.

Apparently when this older woman started feeling sickly, she got off the beaten path and got up under a shade tree to get out of the sun, that's part of the reason that finding her took awhile, she was off the walking path a ways, sort of hidden.

This story may end up mirroring that one in the sense that she may have opted to take a different direction that day and went off somewhere she normally might not go.

The problem with that is there have been a lot is searches and tracking dogs.
Don't forget her glasses and other items were located .

Thelma had her phone with her too so if she was having a medical problem, she could've called for help. Apparently her phone was turned off.

Pretty sure that Lisa's father is alive and living in White River, Ontario with his now girlfriend, Dorothy Jacques. If you look on Facebook you can find photos of Lisa's father, Gaetan Marquis on Dorothy's page. You will also notice she has Thelma as a friend and Lisa's ex-husband, Cameron Besser. Interesting that there are no photos of Lisa's little boy though and no mention of his birthday that was said to be on July 11 - the day that Thelma disappeared.

According to those who are experienced in 'statement analysis', the past tense thing is something that often happens when someone knows that the missing person is dead.

This is quoted from someone who was doing a statement analysis on Casey Anthony, but it could fit here as well:

"I had mentioned that when telling a story the person should be using past tense language. An exception to that rule is when talking about a missing person. Family members want to believe their missing loved one is alive and well. Therefore, when the person first disappears they will always talk about him or her using present tense language. When a family member talks about the missing person using past tense language they are revealing to us that they know the person is dead. Four times Casey refers to Caylee in the past tense. This is a strong indication Casey knows Cayless is dead. Many missing child cases are solved by listening to the verb tenses."

Here's a statement made by the wife of Jeffrey Boucher, a jogger who went missing as discussed above and who's body was eventually found in Lake Ontario. This interview was given about 3 weeks after he disappeared:

"You have to know who we’re talking about here and I mean my husband was so level-headed....His answer to things was, ‘You know, if you don’t feel so good, why don’t you take a run and you’ll feel better?’ We never fought, we never did anything like that because he was so level-headed and positive.”

She doesn't make one statement about him in the present tense.

BTW, I'm not proclaiming someone is innocent, I just think there needs to be stronger evidence of guilt than dissecting someone's words in that kind of overwhelming situation.
