But that doesn't make any sense. The scale is all off, imo. Also she would be placed in there backwards and I am not sure that would fit the stain.
Plus, this lighting isn't for skin cells is it? Why would her face light it up even if she was stuck in there backwards?
Or are you guys just saying this is an interesting thing, like cloud formations.

Like cloud formations or like a matrix...I just think it's her spirit leaving yet another clue...but that just me:crazy:

OH ok, I can't think of what that is called but that makes sense. I just came in on the end and I was afraid people were thinking that was actually her imprint.

Like the lady that left her face print in the garbage bag after her husband covered her face with it after he killed her. He got busted with that.

Oh hey, I wonder what clues the inside of the garbage bags may yield.

It's like a voice from the grave. we are just hoping JB. It's just interesting. Nothing that will be used but still interesting. :)

The Nose Knows

On first glance, it appeared that Juana Gillette had mistakenly mixed her medications and died of an accidental overdose in 1984. However, when her husband Ronald moved in with another woman just days after Juana's death, authorities became suspicious. After an autopsy revealed that the amount of drugs in her system wasn't fatal, police discovered a plastic bag at the murder scene with an indentation of a nose in it. Employing oblique lighting (lighting held at an angle) they uncovered an impression of a face in the plastic bag and, using this fatal portrait as evidence, Ronald Gillette was convicted of suffocating his wife to death.

IIRC, it is called "pareidolia". Many psychologists believe that we are "hard-wired" to seek out human faces (a survival technique).

IMO, I agree with those who believe this may be another way that Caylee is trying to be heard.

XOXO Peace.

That could sure put a new twist on things..........

Pareidolia yes. As a paranormal investigator, I encountered a lot of this. You had to learn to differentiate.

I watched a csi type show not long ago, and the police used an ALS in a house..and the wall up the stairs lit up like a christmas tree. It was later discovered, that the dogs pattern of walking up the stairs, and tail brushing against the walls were the reason for the wall lighting up. Am i correct in assuming any biological material lights up under an ALS?

Like blood, sweat, urine? In other words, could the stain be caused by caylee's sweat or urine as well as blood or vomit?

ETA: found an interesting website explaining different (alternative light sources) and what they are used for!

http://www.labino.com/appl-sec.html

From another website http://www.insidethetape.com/newsletter-3.htm
Body Fluids: Since most body fluids glow, the alternate light source is a must at crime scenes where sexual assault may be suspected. Semen, saliva & vaginal secretions are a few examples, all of which can be sources of DNA. Blood does not glow but absorbs light instead and darkens. Again it sometimes becomes important to eliminate the background to show contrast between what is glowing and absorbing.
Hairs and fibers: Oblique lighting is the best method on smooth and carpeted surfaces to detect this type of evidence. Human hairs do not glow or fluoresce unless they are silver in color or have been treated with certain types of dye. Some fibers do glow if they are made up of certain synthetic values. This type of lighting is also good for small particles such as soils, glass, paint fragments, etc.

And it could be her face imprint but something innocent. Caylee may have gotten into the car all sweaty and sometimes toddler's faces hit the back of the seat at they try to get in themselves. We could be looking at a sweat mark. JMO

I'm wondering if anyone has a link to a higher resolution version of the picture of caylee in the carseat that was linked earlier in the thread. (This one).

There were visible stains on the car seat in some of the photos released yesterday... it would be interesting to see if they're there in that old photo where Caylee is in the seat. (Even though earlier reports of tests on the car seat say that blood wasn't found on it.)

ETA: pictures of one of the stains on the carseat.

They a did test on the bag using a female officer. they pushed her face into the bag many times until they found the pressure that would leave a face imprint. It was fascinating. That is how they were able to determine that the force required to leave an imprint on the plastic was sufficient and consistent with suffocation.

manipulated considerably and no stains...but of course there is no light on the chair either so I don't know that this really indicates that there wasn't any stains.

Thanks, momtective! I edited my previous post to include pics of the stain I had in mind. I can't tell if it's there or not in the pics of Caylee in the carseat...

thanks for bumping up the thread and bringing up the old pic too, you guys. The stains on the strap pad (under normal lighting) looked kind of rust colored to me. What do you think? Kind of like heavy, directional globs or drips. I know toddlers spill all kinds of things on their car seats, and I hope those are just innocent stains, but I was trying to imagine what a 2 year old would have been eating or spilling to make kind of heavy globs of a rusty looking stain like that. Can't really imagine a 2 year old eating something with big globs of ketchup or anything. Wonder if this is important evidence? These photos jumped out at me more from the new photo release than anything else, how about you? It made my mind go back to the discussions of Cindy breaking down while describing cleaning out the car, when she mentioned the car seat. Hope it's just nothing, maybe juice or milk or something could actually turn kind of rusty colored like that over time? The stains looked more globby than juice. Well. I wonder what the lab found out about them.

I wonder what kinds of things leave a rusty stain. What kind of stain does blood leave after washing? Seems like dairy products usually leave just an oil-spot kind of stain. Some red things, red wine at least, tends to leave a gray stain. Maybe red juice or punch drinks do leave reddish stains sometimes. Seems like vomit or tomato could leave a rusty stain. I need to go look up stains.

Okay, this may be farfetched (but we're all going there anyway), but what if Caylee's Mama doll got fluid on it and was somehow wedged behind her, or placed facing the back of the carseat? Could that possibily leave a face-like impression?

It has always bothered me that CA said in her August depo that she took a wet wipe and cleaned off the doll because she was rather dirty. This is right after they brought the car home and she was frantic to find KC and Caylee. Why on earth would CA feel the need to stop everything and prioritize wiping off a doll before she even located her daughter or called LE???

Fooling around with the car seat or cover also makes sense in light of something else CA said in her depo. She mentioned wiping the "mama" dolls face, which was found in the car seat. That doll is cloth she said, but has a plastic face. She mentioned she did it because it was not as clean as she thought it ought to be. Yeah. Right. She comes home with the Deathmobile and takes out a steak knife which she quickly washes and returns to the box under the silverware, removes a pair of KC's pants, which she washes (and which could not possibly smell like smoke after being in that car for two weeks, they would smell like a dead child) and takes the time to wipe a baby doll's face. Everything else she just takes out and sets aside on the cooler.

And she does all this before she can even locate her daughter to find out what happened. And before she decides to return to work to give the appearance that she and GA are not tampering with what they both know is evidence.

I find it odd as well that her car seat is stored in the attic; that garage is full of items on shelves, like the pet carriers, and items at least as large, like coolers.

If LP is right and they replaced the washer and dryer, they'd better hope they replaced the hoses on the vacs and the wetvac.

And if people's speculation that something physical happened to Caylee in the carseat is true (and the missing tooth is an indication of foul play), then perhaps that is another reason, in addition to the duct tape, that allowed Dr. G to establish Caylee's death as a homicide.

Somebody needs to tell CA that telling a half truth is the same thing as being half-pregnant.

Bolded above by me. I was reading the earlier posts on this thread and a thought came to mind. Why oh why would you put your precious granddaughters car seat in the attic when you were professing that she was alive and expected her to return? CA was definitely trying to hide this carseat. Will be interesting in the future to see just where LE was going in their line of questioning about these two seats.
