Casey Arrested on Fraud Related Charges

Wow! I am soooo proud of Amy for having the courage to push forward with this. It has to be hard, based on what we know of Casey & the A family.

I am very grateful to Amy, too, and I hope despite all this that her life is going well, or soon will be.

Way to go, Amy! Take good care of yourself.

Amy is not the only one pressing charges. According to the affidavit, BOA and Target are also pressing charges. (per the fraud 3 document)

Do any of these places have security cameras? I know the bank does. Surely LE has checked those cameras to see if Caylee was with her on any of these dates.

Yes ... LE has already stated that they do have her on video at Target & B of A.

Yep, it makes me wonder just how much trouble the Anthonys have gotten her out of before all of this. I bet they have paid off and covered things she has done for quite awhile now. This behavior just doesn't come from out of the blue, imo.

That was posted on Topix by "Rick," allegedly Cindy's brother. Amy also made mention of it in her statement to police.
The theft from her grandmother is suspected of being the source of the argument that the neighbors heard at the Anthony's house on the evening of June 15th.

If Casey had not been tracked down by Cindy the night that Amy returned, how in the heck was Casey going to explain the stolen checks to Amy? This confirms to me that Casey had all intentions of leaving town (most likely to Cali to steal money and/or a vehicle from her "friend.")

I wonder if they're stacking and dragging out these charges to make Casey understand that OCS is, and will continue to be, in charge of this investigation in the hopes that Casey will finally provide some useful info...What amazes me to a certain degree is Casey's willingness to sit in the OC jail for this length of time. In addition to lack of any kind of "stimulation" she's used to...talking on phone, internet, etc...I imagine she also went through some withdrawal (at least initially) if she were using drugs and alcohol on a regular basis. What do you think accounts for her silent acceptance of being in the county jail? Dissociative state?

I think she may be willing to sit there because she knows that if she talks she may implicate herself and will have to sit there for even longer - maybe forever. So, she keeps quiet in the hopes that LE will not be able to get a conviction on the worst nof the charges. If she talks anymore, she'll did a deeper hole for herself. Keeping quiet is the only ticket to getting out sooner rather than later. JMO

I belevei her mother bailed her out of many of the things she's done and since they have been taken care, via Cindy's 401K I believe it was reported, then the law cant' do anything about all of those criminal acts I don't believe.

It's no wonder that Casey thinks she can get away with anything. Cindy has created a monster

There's another one that wasn't written, it was submitted electronically to AT&T for $574.

I asked this on another thread - if Casey used the internet to conduct her fraudulent activity, can she be charged with crimes on a federal level?

I found the AT&T one interesting...there had been speculation about the phone being turned off because of that large bill not being paid, hadn't there? I wonder if it was really because they discovered it wasn't paid by her, and so it had to do with the fraud and not the bill being paid?

That's related to the grandparent's account ... which I believe those charges will be right around the bend as well.

And, according to Amy's statement, it was after she learned from Cindy (on the phone) on July 15th that Casey was a liar and a thief, that she checked her own account and found these forged charges!

Jeez - I honestly don't know how Cindy can spin away the implications of Casey leaving a virtual paper trail of economic-related crimes.
