Baez trying to say that there is no difference between a "person of interest" and a "suspect". There is a huge difference and it sends a totally different message.

Baez can say whatever he wants to say. There is a huge difference in law enforcement's eyes and the publics'.

Try to spin this Baez!

???? ????

Was that the champagne pic? Yeah, a little big, sorry. Just happy that LE is one step closer. I can't wait for justice to be served. I will do a dance the day they arrest her and I do think it's coming.

Okay, what am I missing? On the first set of discovery documents, where officers are interviewing Roy H., the box that says "Suspect" is filled in with Casey's name.
I thought from the very beginning she was a suspect.

Go LE Go LE Go LE!!! :purplebananna: :purplebananna: :purplebananna:

Yes. This gives me more confidence that they are forming a solid case.

Is the death penalty applicable where she will (most likely eventually) be tried for murder?

Yes Fl is a death penalty state.

If it is charged as a Death Penalty crime, she will lose the statutory right to bail and she can be held without a right to bond, period. :behindbar

LE has NEVER referred to Casey as a suspect in public or to the press until today. They have always referred to her as a "person of interest" . Suspect holds much more weight and implicates her in the crime.

They are sending her and us a huge message.

This is the beginning of the end. Good news. Maybe next week, great news.

I seriously have a bad feeling that she won't make it into custody. I've had a feeling for a while now that if she found out she was in no way getting off on the homicide charges she would commit suicide.

Suicide is too easy for Casey IMO.

Other than that, I am VERY happy they finally are calling her a suspect.

I really don't want to split hairs but I am confused. Here it seems like a reporter paraphrasing:
But Capt. Angelo Nieves of the sheriff’s office said Casey Anthony is a suspect because of the evidence the agency has received from the FBI indicating that Caylee’s body was in her mother car. He also said she has repeatedly lied to investigators.

While here is a direct quote from Capt. Nieves:
“Well, she was the last person to person to see her daughter, and we are continuing to follow up on this information, and granted she would be a suspect,” Nieves said.

My question is he states that "granted she would be a suspect" this doesn't sound like a change in title for Casey it sounds like he is saying it would be common sense with the evidence.
Anyone else see what I am saying here?

thanks for that information! that is the best news I've had all day!!! no more internet blogging, cutting & pasting and brownie baking and high-5 in the police station....no more body-guard escorts, just a nice little jail-cell.:woohoo:

I called and asked my LE friend about the difference between a person of interest and a suspect. He is pretty good at putting LE terms in laymans terms for me.

He said person of interest can be ANYONE involved ina case. That means a witness, a neighbor, a friend or family member. He said it was anyone who had ANY information at all about the case or investigation.

He said a suspect means that there is, in fact, a case or wrong doing and that the person called a suspect is the person who has caused harm to person or a person who is at fault.

I'm sure everyone knew that...I wanted clarrification.

I have thought that many times, the only thing that holds me back from that thought is that just as she has made her parents believe in the Nanny, I think she thinks she would pull the same wool over a jury..
She loves herself too much to commit suicide, IMHO

and Baez said it doesn't matter, I'm glad he's not my lawyer
