Casey Smirks In Front Of Jury

Anyone know which is which...in one Yuri is looking at ICA and in the other he is looking at the jury...the second pic here is where he does the longest look. ICA appears to smirk/snub in both though.

I truly expected her to start twitching and drooling at this point. It would have been a perfect underlining of JB's question regarding her seizures. Then again, her head spinning like in the Exorcist scene would have been fitting too. Someone needs to coach her so she can provide a fitting background to her attorney's questions.

I need an icon for a spinning or drooling head.

Also, I do think she is proud of how well she does, how fast she thinks on her feet, how many lies she can juggle at once, how she can twist and turn and slip out of Cindy's questioning, how she can giggle and flirt even the most critical audience (her family) at this most serious of times into a state of acceptance and belief. I think Casey is thinking to herself, "Damn I'm good!".

I bolded this part, 'cause it's been running through my mind as well. I heard the song "Breaking the Girl" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers the other day on the radio, and that line from the lyrics: "twisting and turning" has been replaying in my mind over and over, that along with the backwards and forwards drum beat, and guitars through this trial.

i guess it was a long time friend of hers named Mark..his ex-wife Tara that she was calling psycho ,i thought it was ridiculous that she thought it was funny and seemed so amused and proud of herself for saying it..thats she had to laugh in court today about it.. the video is her calling Tara psycho not her reaction to it that i saw on HLN today..

I couldnt help but notice as soon as the screen flipped off, pretty sure it was with Lee, as soon as he was gone I think she thought the 'recording' had stopped, she dried right up and obviously checked her reflection in the screen in front of her, flipped her little hair around some and I detected a sigh of "whewww, glad THAT'S over.....NEXT!"

This reminded me of an early jail phone call between her and Lee (I will see if I can find it). Once their time is up and they are cut off, she remains on the line for several seconds. Then just before she hangs up, she sighs under her breath, "okaaay".
To me it sounds like she is a little relieved to be done performing and is reassuring herself.
It's also entirely possible that I read way too much into all of this.

Today she had a very small bob loosely positioned on the top of her head. In my opinion there is no way that she had the same amount of hair in that bob as she did when she wore that ponytail. The day that she wore the ponytail was also the day that she uber checked the top of her head by patting it. This was so she could make sure the hairspray was keeping her real hair down.

I know I sound petty to get worked up about her grooming in court. But it just shows me that no matter what, Casey is going to worry about Casey and by God if she is going to go down she is going to squeeze every bit of "Me Time" that she can, while she can. Right down to extentions, hairspray, new clothes...

That said, a hair extention isn't a big deal anyway, they could give IC a rope with a hangmans noose to keep in her cell and she wouldn't use it. She is Entitled. To A Better Rope.

Yes and that lady in the DT has such a pleasant voice and tone that it distracted me from concentrating on what she actually is saying.

I was distracted by her too. And did anyone notice that she kept asking the Prosecutor to speak up because she couldn't hear him? I thought that very odd since I kept having to turn my volume up everytime she would speak. What was that about?

Sorry if this has been stated before but I was just reading many different accounts of the Scott Peterson trial. The jury speaks about his demeanor and/or lack of emotion throughout the trial and also of his smirking and laughing during court. I have read on many sites that this DID play a role in their conviction. So Casey keep thinking and acting as if you are un-touchable, and I can only hope and pray it will not work for you either.

I could have sworn that I saw Lee do the same thing very early in his testimony, but then I wasn't sure so I didn't say anything.

I don't have the time to watch through his testimony again, but if someone has the time they might find where he did this.

If I recall correctly, he lifted his left wrist to his lips and kissed it while sitting in the jury box and just before he answered a question.

Human body language...

I noticed a VERY definitive "in-breath", with a little "poor me" snivel at the end, whenever it is a flagrant lie that she knows is a flagrant lie. Which is pretty often, during some of this video playback part of the trial.
She shows anger for her mom for sure, Pure disdain. This is all Her fault, right?
She is totally mesmerized and fascinated by her storytelling in action (her "starlet" dream come true, gleam in her eyes) otherwise...she barely seems to breathe...
