That is a very interesting thought -- and definitely seems like something Casey might do.

Not positive on this, but IIRC hadn't she changed one of her passwords around that time to: Timer55? Also, in the jail house tape with ICA and LA, LA asked her if her passwords held a meaning to her and she said that they did. Although she didn't give him the correct password. I have felt that Timer55 held a meaning. I've thought that perhaps she did some practice runs on what she was going to do Caylee and timed it at 55 minutes.

With the interrogation tapes coming into evidence, I am reminded of KC saying that she last saw Caylee when she dropped her off at the Sawgrass Apartments. Could the baby have died there in the empty apartment -- and did KC use that apartment on other occasions as a "babysitter" (with the assitance of Xanax or other drugs). Could that be where she took Caylee on the night that RM said Caylee disappeared, yet Cindy said she wasn't brought home?

I know it's not good to apply logic to KC's words, but she is so adamant that she last saw Caylee there.

LOL- I cringe when I hear "a bunch of other times" referring to when she dropped her daughter off at the babysitters steps! STEPS! (2 and 1/2 small little years and it's STEPS)!! :banghead:.

Somehow I doubt it. It was just a place close to one of her...''boyfriends''.

I think the police had to contact management to be let in to look around, so I doubt Casey had been there to use drugs, or to lock Caylee in as a safe place to stash her, I just doubt there's any kind of connection.

Didn't law enforcement say there was no tape of them at the building on that day, the day Caylee was supposed to be missing? Wouldn't the police also have viewed other tapes to see if Casey or the invisinanny also appeared on it prior or after the pretend missing date?

Me too- and also how she always follows a statement with " That's EVEN what I told the detectives- or I told-mom, dad, lee, etc....
She seems to qualify each statement by saying she told someone else, as well. Usually more than one person.....actually. It's annoying as all get out. Not sure why she does it except that maybe it's a deterrent so that they won't discuss between each other. That, or it makes it all sound more legit!

Also- She ends EVERY sentence with - So.
Like you just know its all a lie.

First time I've seen this thread as I wasn't a WS member until 3/10. What amazes me the most about Casey-Speak is her overuse of qualifiers: actually, basically, honestly, really, supposedly, surprisingly, truthfully, etc. Casey chooses to use these adverbs at the beginning of a sentence as if she's using the words to make sure that the listener is attentive to what she is about to say. "Really" bugs me no end

This is SO ANNOYING!! Haven't you noticed that Lee does the same darned thing? The whole family is just really really odd with the way that they talk. I've been posting about this for weeks in various threads. The excessive use of adverbs and the whole way of talking like they think they are smarter than most people, IDK, it's just weird. I've noticed too that GA is very very particular about stating things 1000% correctly, as do the rest of them, but I think GA is the worst on this. He will nitpick to the bitter end about trivial semantics, and pull the other person into a whole discussion about THAT rather than stay on the original topic. Exasperating!! Oops...sorry. I am literally, truly, definitely, totally, and absolutely sorry for using that word.

I apologize if this has already been covered, but in the call between Lee and Casey which I believe is on you tube titled "Pt 1-Full Phone Call Between Casey & Lee Anthony" at the 6:17 point, I believe Casey says she believes Caylee is close to HOLT, not HOME, as would be believed. I have seen somewhere that HOLT is an acronym used between Lee and Casey for Hidden Oaks Lake Trail. I believe that's where Caylee's body was found. Does anyone else feel after listening to the tape that she is saying HOLT and could she have been telling Lee where Caylee's body was?

First of all Hello.. I am new to websleuths, though I have been coming here for a month and half 10 plus times a day to read about Caylee.

Casey has never wanted anything more in her life than to have not only her parents, but the entire world falling at her feet. She has accomplished what many young American women can only dream about, a celeb status and chaotic camera flashes wherever she goes. She has something that everyone wants and in her own deceitful way she is trying to give it. We all know that much of what casey has said is incosistent with reality, but we can all agree that to some extent there is merrit to her word design. We know she has been to the places she mentions and we know that she is familiar with (to some extent) the situations she has explained.

For example, she has been to the sawgrass apartments and may have heard one of her friends mention that one of their friends (Zanaida) might be looking at an apartment there. She has taken Caylee to J Blanchard park on numerous occasions and she may have spoken with a Samantha there at one point or another. Her most recent information has been that Caylee was taken from her at J Blanchard park, IMO she is saying Caylee was taken to J Blanchard park.

I don't believe that she had any help or that there was any intricate design or plot, Casey flies by the seat of her pants accomodating whatever seems right at the moment, thus her blatant inconsisencies. One key factor in this is that her lies are ALL built on her experience, none of them are original (i.e. she has never mentioned people or places that arent known by others, Juliet Lewis is an actress, and Zanny the Nanny is from a childrens book). She has been able to deceive people her entire life without anyone really calling her bluff. She assumed the police would believe her if she was willing to take them to Universal, never could she have anticipated someone actually taking her so far that she had no choice but to come clean. Her appearence and her lies have always been enough to placate even the most curious and disbelieving bystandards.

Little by little Casey is figuring out that unlike her parents and family, society and LE are not forgiving, they want the truth. We all know that a greiving mother couldnt hold back tears if a lawyer said she had no choice, his excuses only validate her, they dont fool the rest of us. I want to know what truths you see lurking behind the lies. What do you think could be the most pertinent information hidden behind the muck of untruth?????

Her power to decieve and control has now turned into a game of truth or dare and Casey is picking dare, she knows that regardless of what LE finds or surmises only she knows what really happened. She will use that for as long as she chooses. She is in a place where her love for Caylee is replaced with resentment because even in death she has lost freedom because of the child she didnt really want. I know she loved Caylee but it wasnt a deep rooted motherly love, Caylee was the kid sister who was fun to have when it was convenient, and the moment she took away from Casey's insationable appetite for attention everything about her was inconvenient.

When talking to her father while in jail 3 years ago , Casey says they-meaning the family- will all be together again.

Casey thought she would be out of jail and free of Casey and all responsibilities.

Casey never thought she would be in court on trial for murdering Caylee. However she is in the same room with her dad, her mom and her brother.

Watching TiVo'd Jail Video from Thursday, I can now tell when Casey is lying or (rarely) telling the truth (with benefit of hind sight, of course):

When telling the truth, she speaks quickly, unfiltered. No qualifiers.

When (most often) lying, she speaks slower, starts off with "Lee..." or "Mom..." or "as I told *advertiser censored*..."

I've been following this case for a long time but just finally got around to registering. (Hi everyone!)

I think there are some really interesting insights here into Casey's speech patterns and body language. As far as content goes, however, I don't believe there is a code or a method to the madness. To me, this is what makes this case so fascinating and mind boggling.

I came across a little article the other day that compared ICA to the character in the movie 'The Usual Suspects' and I think this is the most compelling way to describe "Casey speak." (I'm sure this comparison has been made before, but here's the link if interested. -- If you have not seen the movie, spoiler alert though!).

Despite all of the criticism of the Anthony family and disbelief that they could not have seen through Casey's lies, when I watched CA testify all I could think of was that last scene in the movie when suddenly, in a moment, the absurdity and randomness of the clues becomes obvious. The jailhouse tapes show that her family was desperately searching for meaning behind her words and that although they knew she was lying, they believed she must be leading them in a "backwards way" to the truth. They must have suspected that when the pieces were all put together, the truth could be scary, but I imagine that it would be far more terrifying to finally see all of the pieces put together and realize that behind her words there was... nothing.

I think Casey's lies have caused us all to take pause and remember our own lies and our own shameful moments...and then thank god we are able to feel remorse...we are able to atone...

let her remind us of our humanity, and hope god will forgive her....and then let's all pray she never ,ever gets out of jail.
