I can't imagine that LE would have taken them to the top hotel for a meal fit for royalty, when they are determining how to recoup all the funds the city has lost in this case.

They didn't lose it, they spent investigating a homicide of a child. Every penny was well spent. imo

Ya know what big lesson I've learned from all this...trust your gut. My gut is telling me there's something terribly wrong with this picture.

I"ve learned alot from this case. One of the major problems with missing folks, is getting the message out to the public. Cindy has done a great job in keeping this story in the news.

however, in this case, she shouldn't have. It brought more resources, etc.. to help solve this case.

Any way, I would have no problem making a butt out of my self, if it would cause the media to stay tuned in and help find my love one.

It is totally disgusting to me that the Anthony family was on the verge of losing it all financially (foreclosure, bankruptcy multiple times) and now their daughter murders their precious Caylee and the sky is now the limit!
Face it this family is living and thriving from the murder of Caylee! No one in this family works. Who pays the mortgage, electric, cable, taxes, multiple cell phones, food clothing, car insurance, gas, maintenance and the list goes on? I know if I did not get up and go to work everyday I would not have a roof over my head to even have to worry about paying utilities. Then add attorneys, experts... where is the money? Even at a 2 million dollar book deal they must be burning thru the money quickly. Geez... Casey has a million dollar dream team defense now!
Something is wrong with this world when this can happen! Profit, raise your standard of living on the blook of a beautiful innocent child.
Surely the Lord knew what he was doing when he reached down and took
Caylee home.

Unfortunately the manner in which she secured attention is disgusting. This case already had the makings of a T.V. movie. It would have been just as captivating if she had played the part of a normal mother asking her daughter to accept responsibily. Actually, her behavior became such a turn off that a lot of outlets stopped covering her, i.e. Greta. Greta kept Beth Holloway on forever. America would have been more sympathetic if these jerks had acted like regular Americans. More searchers would have turned out to help the poor grandmother etc...

Ah, but the media still followed the case closely. The A's have been constant drama. Of course, a good deal of it has been in trying to stop the searches. Which goes back to my point, the media attention wasn't really good for h er situation. Caused more problem then it solved.

The "Oh my Gosh! She did what?" has folks tuning in. Folks just waiting to see what Cindy will do next. What her reaction will be, etc. It all started with how they responded to the protesters. Geezes! If I knew it would keep the media coming and my 'lost person' in the news every night, i would yell and scream at the protestors as well. I wouldn't mind having a friend visit so I could wack him with a sign.

I don't know of ANY lost child where so many pictures and home movies, etc.. has been seen by the general public. People fell in "love' with her, because seeing all those pictures. Of hearing the story. For believing no one else loved that poor child.

If I thought my baby would get constant coverage and might be found because of it.. I would have no problem showing my butt.

Ah? I wasn't defending her. LOL! I did point out that it wasn't in her daughters best interest that this case had the spot light.

I"m talking about what I learned from it. Not why she did it. But the fact that she did keep the media spot light on this case.

If I did it, it would be because I would want to find my beloved one.

However, the more she didn't want the body found.. the more folks wanted to prove her wrong. Lots of donations went to help find this little girl. Including the donations of food and water.

BTW< I also don't think Cindy thinks she was showing her butt at the time.

I have to say if one now watches the OSCO interviews with each of the grandparents and then the FBI interviews with them, it's almost as contradictory as it can get with what they then, and often in the same time periods, have proceeded to expound in their media appearances. However, their LE interviews are now part of the evidence chain and the first person to probably take advantage of these contradictions won't be LE, but good ol' "where is my lawyerin' book" Jose Baez when the Anthonys have to testify at trial. He'll have to wear down the credibility of Casey's parents, and the easiest way to do this is to repeat what's been been said by them in media. It won't be pretty.

All of that grandparent media stuff changes today -- there is, unfortunately and sadly, a body to contend with. It's not surprising that they'd be advised not to speak at this time, but what IS shocking is that they actually listened to that advice. Once the DNA results are definitive, they can't be ignored nor can the fact that the Anthony home was considered a crime scene.

They've been warned by their attorney that once this all occurs, more caution than they have EVER exercised will be necessary with the words they use that are uttered in public.

I personally don't care they stayed in the Ritz -- it and several 3 star and 4 star hotels like it are used by the infamous and famous to get away from the press. It could have been arranged by their attorney, their spokeperson, or LKL but one thing is certain: it's temporary. Now they have to live with the decisions they made with their daughter, how she most likely led them with her lies and manipulation to a tragic situation that they may have been able to help avoid for their granddaughter's sake, if they'd only made the harder decisions much further in the past rather than the easy ones, over and over again.

Sources close to the case told Eyewitness News that Casey's parents, George and Cindy, may someday face criminal charges. Sources tipped Eyewitness News off that George and Cindy Anthony checked into the luxury Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, Eyewitness News has learned the sheriff's office is looking into charging the Anthonys with obstruction of justice.

Rooms go for about $300 a night at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and sources say they Anthonys had dinner at Normans on Thursday night, where dinner could cost $100 a person. The Anthonys recently hired attorney Brad Conway to replace Mark NeJame.

The Anthonys have gone for quite some time without an attorney and they recently hired Conway. My impression is that he leaves the door open for what may happen as far as charges...he certainly doesn't adamently deny the possibility. Hope that helps!

I agree completely with you. I was just stating what Sheriff B had mentioned that they may seek reimbursement.
I believe Caylee was worth every penny and ounce of sweat and tear that was shed.
I was trying to make a point that the LE wasn't interested in putting the A's in a 5 star resort.

(Imagine the children who are getting nothing for Christmas, how they would have enjoyed the toys). Yesterday the PI, Dominique or something like that, said he had arranged for them to stay at an undisclosed location, so I don't think LE had anything to do with them staying at a ritzy hotel.

Actually LE most likely had a couple empty cells the A's could have used free of charge. Ultimate security would have also been provided for them there.
