we might be taking it for granted the WA police identified all people inside the Conti on night of JR. At the 23.58.58 timestamp on the CIA doc, the interviewer asks Stanbury about identifying everyone and Stanbury replies "....identified and interviewed all of the people out on the street" (except MM that we know of).

what do you mean by 'said poster is still most likely lying though' ? were these 2 phone booths out on the street or inside the building? Makes one wonder if the phone at the post office was deliberately tampered with so that an unsuspecting person would go down to Stirling Road.

I think there is just one combined version of The Post now, the top of the newspaper now reads:
Cambridge
Claremont/Nedlands
Mosman/Cottesloe
Subiaco

It comes out on Saturdays.

I guess that includes Shenton Park.

...Sutton what are those extra words on the 2nd screen shot ? I've not seen those before. If these words were on the 1.08 footage (as part of the CIA documentary) when it was released in Australia that would be the footage that was released to the press the morning of the day prior to the public release the following evening. The 1.08 footage you have used is that the footage posted on youtube by Flect or did you obtain the footage from elsewhere ? The link below is a newspaper article about the release bungle.

Those extra words are printed on many videos downloaded from YouTube in the US. They are related to ownership and licensing. The words are not there when I stream a video.

One of my pics shows the words and one does not because they were taken at separate times last week when I was trying to clean them with Gimp.

Yes, they are from the video posted on YouTube by Flect.

Read article: Interesting they did not say unidentified long-haired man; they were just asking if anyone recognized him. but they did say the woman was unidentified.

The JR "inside Conti guy" photo was a threesome; JR, MM and a woman on the stairs. I wonder?

The article also includes information that the CCTV footage from the night JR disappeared existed so it was no secret.

Some things I have noticed from footage of MM.
He is comparatively well dressed for the venue - other males appear to be wearing t shirts, jeans etc. But MM is wearing what looks to be a well ironed long sleeve business shirt and dark (business?) pants. Could be indicative of a white collar worker, or at least he has presented himself to be.
Maybe his cover was saying he had come for drinks after work.
Hair seems to be styled.
Does not seem intoxicated. He does stand out from other patrons for these reasons.
I agree he seems to be using a mobile phone in the image of him talking to Jane inside the conti.
Appears to be alone, not out with mates.
From his behavior i.e. when he sticks his head out the door and looks both ways at one point and then when he walks up to Jane later it seems he is behaving in a calculated strategic manner.
Almost like he planned his run in with Jane later outside and feigns mock surprize to see her. Outstretched arms, maybe he was saying something like "well fancy seeing you here again!" or something similar.

Great find Papertrail on the newsprint article confirming there are 2 films one of night JR went missing and one of night CG went missing.
Does anyone know if they have released this 2nd film of the night CG went missing?
I couldn't find any other references or links to it.

Yes, that's an interesting way of wording it. Later on the article says he needs to be identified, but it does seem to indicate they know who he is.

I thought the person on the steps was a guy, when I zoomed in on a larger screen he looked completely flat chested, but could still be a girl.

Regarding the 'inside conti' frames-
i though the person on the stairs was jane. the way their shirt sits on her/his body looked to me like the way janes shirt did when she was waiting outside. i

IMO the girl with her hand on hip next to MM by the stairs does not look like jane, her hair is lighter. i think jane could be the blur on the stairs. MM looks like he is taking a photo of person on stairs.

I've been reading blog material of these crimes for years and this has to be the most uninterrupted one in terms of personal attacks and crazy theories.

Our mod Bessie will be rolling her eyes when she reads this There has been plenty of drama for her to sort out, though things seem to be running more smoothly of late.

I have to say the single CCTV frames from inside the Conti that folks have been cleaning up are interesting. Wouldn't it be interesting to see the raw footage from all cameras at the pub that night?! I'm not sure that it actually looks like Jane to me in that interior frame, or that there is a "brick" phone being used by the male with his back to the camera - but it's been good to have something else to pore over for a while. I think all the old news clippings are worth a look too - good to see what was written in the actual era that the crimes occurred.
