Nurmi and Willmott are now huddled together by their desk. No one else is present. #JodiArias

actually, kirk, a much BETTER moment is the one she chose----when he was SITTING DOWN in the shower and would have to rise to defend himself.

does he think these people are stupid? and yet he's asking them to believe his client is too SMART to have made all these mistakes?

Well, Jodi did say on the stand that is the first time she had killed someone. I guess it was not expected that she would have done it perfectly. Juan essentially proved she was trying to make it look as if it were a business trip and that is why she kept the receipts. If she left no paper trail, she would have been a prime suspect and Jodi was aware of that. In her mind she would not have been able to prove where she had been had she paid cash. That is kind of obvious.

I also think she arrived so early so she could catch him in the shower when the roommates had left. One roommate did not leave until 11:30am. That delayed her and she had sex with him to get him into the shower. Remember she said Travis always washed the sheets after sex and my guess is he always showered after sex, too.

Jodi, Jodi, Jodi. I think Travis would have ended up with you had you played your cards right and just acted normal. No stalking, no jealousy, just walked away and act like any normal person would because I really think he did love her in his own way. As far as her leaving voluntarily to go back to California. Travis stopped supporting her and my guess is she ruined every job opportunity she had so she had to return home. She did not leave because of Travis. No way.

Does anyone know what Nurmi was talking about when he mentioned bad haircuts?

Just got in. Ran to the bank and did some food shopping. I didn't rush to see Nurmi.

How is Nurmi doing? telling lies?

Guuuees he doeeesn't knnooow that when you talk so o o o o sl o o o w, you tend to put people to sleep.

LMAO, yes he's even putting Wilmott to sleep! Somebody get that woman some black coffee! :floorlaugh: :coffeews:

So Nurmi tried to play off the returned gas can by slipping in there that there were plenty of Walmarts on her route to Mesa. Totally ignoring Juan's point, that she testified UNDER OATH that she returned it almost immediately to the same place she bought it.

And the jury heard it when JM confronted her and said " would it surprise you, Ms Arias, to learn that there is no record of any gas cans returned on that day? "

Her reply / " YES, that would surprise me because I returned it..."

So she CLEARLY stated under oath that there should have been a record of it being returned there...

Wonder what juror #8 thinks now that he gets to see JA and JW in action when the jury is out

Seeing how terrible WILMA looks & how much she's aged, I feel a lil bad for all the nasty things I've said about her. #IllGetOverIt

Juror #8 escorted out.

Juror #8 escorted out??? Wonder why?

Nurmi: "Why didn't she attack when his back was turned? He would have never seen it coming"

You kind of answered your own question there.

My stomach was turning during this part...because we all know in our hearts that the cruel, cold murderess wanted Travis to know what was going to happen to him. She wanted to see his fear, feel her power and have him suffer.

Consider this. The defense team has made this entire trial about sex and how JOdi was uncomfortable with their sex and felt used, etc. Then you have evidence of Jodi recording their phone sex. The last photos taken of Travis are sexual. Jodi is fully aware of the laws of chastity and Travis' religious complications with his sexual life. Let's say that last text exchange where Travis was so furious was about her threatening him with the phone sex tape. This would again point to Jodi's full knowledge of the laws of chastity and using them to hurt Travis. But her ultimate act was to kill him immediately AFTER they had sex but BEFORE he could repent to his priest, leaving Travis with the dying thought that he was damned. That, in my mind, is what Jodi planned all along and she couldn't leave for Utah until she had sex with Travis and it took her longer than she thought to seduce him and get him in bed. This is not surprising considering how angry Travis was with her.

Well, right now he's refuting Juan's presentation from yesterday. I'm sure he's going to get into the battered woman thing soon.

Cant believe you can all listen to this. I'm just watching what you write and I'm frustrated.

Just re-watched and she 100% said she returned the gas can to the same walmart. Do jurys get to re-read court transcripts if they need to?
Yes! JM investigated this too thoroughly to let this slide. The jury isn't going to have to ask to re-read it. He will bring this home in his rebuttal. I would bet the farm on it.

He may be shifting to a more of a heat of passion argument if they feel the jury doesn't buy self defense.

Honestly he should. A heat of passion argument is a far better defense than the lame self defense, Travis is a pedophile and a abuser story they have been shoving down the throats of the jury.

Not that I want Jodi to get a great defense I'm just making a observation that the heat of passion argument is a better one than the self defense argument.

Nurmi is trying to guide the jury away from the fact that his client got off on the sex, taking naked "trophy" pictures of herself and Travis...and his client got off on stalking, planning this murder and carrying out this at just the right time. Jodi was enjoying herself.
We've seen her in court, re-living the murder and she's getting off on it. Sociopath playing for sympathy.

I can listen to KN ok as long as he isn't going over and over sex..JW would be different. She makes my hair stand on end..more so if she is nervous or excited.

THat helium voice of Willmott makes me crazy.

Hard to defend JA when there is nothing to defend her with.

Paper trail is a mute issue, she confessed to killing TA.....only thing she said was true as finger prints and other prints in blood plus her DNA plus hair back this up. Everything else one has to look hard at anything JA tells to see of there is a bit of truth.

What is with her laughing and smiling...this is so serious?! She is sitting at attention only because her lawyer and ? (Don't know the lady) Are on each side of JA, all pencils and paper are removed from her reach. NOW they want her to look like she in interested in her defense on the LAST day. It is obvious the the defense reads here.

Please Jury notice these things.

Sorry I shouted above...I cannot wait for the defense to rest....

Good thing Jodi dyed her hair back to natural. Otherwise, we'd be seeing long dark roots with blond tips.
