LORIS, S.C. (WMBF) The Loris community gathered Wednesday night to pray for the safe return of an 11-year-old boy who disappeared from his home in Colorado Springs.

Gannon Stauch was born in the Loris area but moved to Colorado to live with his father a few years ago. He still has family living in the area, including his mother and grandparents. Melissa Todd organized the vigil.

About 60 people came out to the vigil on Main Street and prayed for 15 minutes.

Our prayers are with you guys. We’re praying that Gannon comes home. We’re doing everything on this end. We love you guys and know he’s coming home,” Todd said

"I don't think I'm going to like the outcome. I don't think anybody's going to like the outcome," said Marshburn.

"I like to give law enforcement time to do their thing and not step on their toes or get in their way," said Marshburn.

Marshburn says he has a knack for getting people to open up and share things they wouldn't tell law enforcement. He says much of that has to do with his ability to focus solely on one case, whereas law enforcement agencies are often working multiple cases at a time.

"I can focus on one thing and catch all the details and do all the profiling of reading someone. You have to have your heart in it," said Marshburn.

Shouting Heard From Gannon Stauch’s Home During Live Report Shouting Heard From Gannon Stauch's Home During CBS4 Live Report

CBSDenver on Twitter

Just touched base with @EPCSheriff, they let me know the officers were just trying to close the garage door for them and spooked the people inside.

Not an update to the case, but shows just how tense and emotional the situation here is.

Karen Morfitt was live when the shouting/garage situation went down. It’s about halfway through the video.
