I think it was Sunday. She writes on a 4th grade level, so it’s difficult to understand her.

She talks about the plan the next day being to “rectify the situation.” Then she talks about having pictures after they returned (I think this is to refute the truck video).

It’s unclear, but Saturday makes less sense to me than Sunday.

It was Sunday b/c people were wondering why, if she was planning on sending the kids to school the next day, were they up so late.

How anyone could think that releasing that video would help in their defense is beyond my understanding and mistakenly leaving in the “ I’m bleeding” for the jury to hear....
That video pulled at my heart. Hearing him cry, say he was bleeding and she was going on about selling the couch to pay the landlord so they wouldn’t get kicked out was heartbreaking.

SBM, BBM

Does this mean she may not know why she was arrested? I'm just trying to understand... Don't they have to clue a person in a little as they make an arrest? Wouldn't the arrest warrant list the charges, and wouldn't she be allowed to read it?

I mean part of me is wondering if she's sitting there wondering if this is all about an expired license or an unpaid ticket (just examples). Surely not, right? I assume it's just an official reading of the charges that the article references, but does anyone know for sure?

I dread reading the affidavit once it's unsealed.:(
Oh, IMO, she knows what her charges are upon arrest. It’s protocol. Once transported in handcuffs to Correctional Intake and Classification Center, she’ll be processed and assigned an inmate ID. It takes up to 18 hours plus+++ to see a judge to hear and read her charges again and set bond. She should then for the first time, see and be given written paperwork with judges orders. She would then return to her cell and await her lawyer or whomever to take the next step. The judge may list recommend attorneys in the area and provide contact for indigent legal defense. Then wait wait wait wait wait. Until she has $$$ on her books to call her people for support, lawyers or family. Finally she will have $$$ to barter with. Honey buns, chips and cookies are in big demand. She can trade soups, nutty bars, e-cigs and soap for protection. These women are very creative in adjusting and submitting to their environment. I used to tell the girls on my watch that I was gonna write a cookbook someday for them. I still might.

I think one thing she will get earlier than average is a jail visit from her lawyer(s) though, I am sure the whole PD office is on high alert.

9Wants to Know has found criminal justice files dating back to 2001 that name Letecia Stauch as a suspect and defendant.

Two police reports from Lumberton, North Carolina indicate Stauch was arrested at least twice in 2001 for getting into a fight and then stealing a car.

Records also reveal she was under the supervision of the North Carolina Department of Corrections for a period of time.

Did we know this part in bold?

Gannon Stauch's stepmother now in custody of Colorado law enforcement

"Gannon, when you get here, you'll be able to truly tell happened. And then I really hope I get a sincere apology from everyone who made all those things, especially from my husband".

Four days after she killed Gannon ...

If killing Gannon was an act of hatred toward some perceived injustice, then perhaps she meant, "Gannon, when they find you, you'll be able to truly tell what happened. And then I really hope I get a sincere apology from everyone who made [me do] all those things, especially from my husband". I suspect she believes she had no choice. "They made her do it."

I hope LE finds Gannon and that his body truly tells what happened.

It shows he was raised right. Respect from the bench.

I do like how he said it didn’t matter if she wanted something or other. He was going through formalities with her. She sat there like she didn’t understand a word he said, and wanted to tell him all about why she didn’t have a lawyer. He didn’t care.
He acted like he didn't know who she was and she didn't matter to him and it was frickin epic. She didn't like it and he didn't care. He told her politely to shut up and we got to watch her realize she ain't in Kansas anymore.

bbm
That's what I'd like to think, as well.^^^

Imo--- but the admission of Gannon's blood on the tools suggests she possibly did something to purposely hurt him.
Just seemed unnecessary and 'off'. Why did she put that out there ?

Woodworking tools are kept in a case or rack fitted with special trays with plastic or leather straps to secure them ; so one doesn't get hurt by accidentally brushing their hand against them.

Those tools have to be unsnapped or removed for use , after being taken down from the wall or a cupboard in which they're kept.
If Al S. had been away for a while, he wouldn't have been using them, and they wouldn't be left all over the garage floor.

It's possible he was bleeding (not from the bloody nose LS kept claiming, either) from a foot or head wound and it dripped or splashed.
So what happened ?
My DH leaves his crap all over, much to my chagrin. Not trying to argue, but my guy can leave crap EVERYWHERE and so, I can see where there were tools out.

Her: "The message for Gannon is, Gannon, when you get here, you'll be able to truly tell what happened, and then, I REALLLY hope I get a sincere apology from EVERYone who has made <sic> ALLLL those things…."
SBM for focus.

When Gannon is found, his body will truly tell what happened. It is a shame that she gave him no opportunity to live to tell what happened to him at her hands. She should have to live with the shame of abusing him.

@GoJacks, you up for any more trips to the courthouse in the not-too-distant future?

Your on-scene reporting was invaluable during the Frazee trial.

Rumor has it @MassGuy still has some (lightly used) Taco Bell gift cards left over from Christmas.

I'm sure he'd be willing to contribute them to cover your meals on days you attend court.

Also, I can furnish (forged) doctor's notes for your employer excusing you from work, if that will help.

JMO.
I think the best course of action is to have a real doctor write those notes. By some amazing coincidence, the accused here is a “doctor.”

She’s not a medical doctor, but a doctor is a doctor in my book. I’m sure she’d be willing to help out, as everyone appreciates accurate reporting.

She also doesn’t have any problem with lying, which increases the odds of her playing along.

I think we’ll have her diagnose @GoJacks with a made up disease. I’m thinking “Tecitus.”

As far as the “lightly used” gift cards go, I’m sure he has atleast a dozen left over from the last time I didn’t send him any.

So, my reason for asking when the candle/carpet incident happened was that after binge reading to try and catch up on the case last night I, of course went to bed with a heavy heart still thinking about poor little G-man. My son had a terrible accident a year and a half ago playing with a lighter he found - and it happened right beside my bed. (He is also ADHD btw) He was trying to light a tiny piece of wicker he broke off a basket while watching TV in my room, and somehow his shirt caught on fire. He sustained 3rd degree burns to his torso and neck. It hit me last night that when he first came running to me - he did not look seriously injured - just a little pink. Fortunately, I took him to the ER anyway. Even there they first told me he had only 2nd degree burns. "Like a bad sunburn," they said. Several hours later he was sent by ambulance to the local burn specialist hospital and it just kept getting worse. ((This is still so hard to think about!))
My point is, if the carpet/candle incident really did happen, he may have also caught his clothing on fire. That could explain a lot - the pain people think they hear in his voice from the video, limping to the truck, even some blood in the house. And, still totally speculating, if he did and she didn't seek medical attention, it could have been life threatening by the next day.
Edited to add - I would still consider her 100% culpable in this scenario.

I will never catch up. This is nuts. In the morning, I’m gonna force myself to settle down and return to the media thread (accolades to @oviedo) and start from when I got back from the doctor yesterday. No, it was the day before, when I realized the word Deceased was in the title. Oh for Pete’s sake - how long has this been going on? How many days was he missing before declared dead? I’m just overwhelmed with all the intel appearing. It’s a good thing I was here from the get go cause I think I’d be so afraid to jump on this rollercoaster in midstream. Thanks so much for everyone’s contributions. You guys are quick.
