That was me. I was following the Ditch on the map down from Pleasant Valley Road, where the public might have access.

The Landfill Theory
  • I saw the landfill off Squirrel Road - Fountain Landfill - but it looks like a waste management facility, not a transfer station. Many threads back, I had suggested that GS was put in a dumpster. So many are available to chose from in locations that are usually behind businesses, truck drivers don't look when they dump the container (they back up, hook up, and swing it overhead to the truck), and criminals know that by the time a dumpster unloads at the landfill, whatever they put in it will be mixed in with the trash.
  • The counter argument was 'security cameras'. I'm going to guess that not all dumpsters have security cameras. For example, the dumpsters behind Petco University Village do not have cameras pointed at them. A woman pulling up in a truck to toss a bag into a dumpster is not going to attract more than a glance, IMHO. Or any other items. People use dumpsters all the time, even when they have their own WM company.
  • Another counter argument: why would LE be searching for him in the woods? Maybe they're searching for related items, not a body.
  • Waste Management was on the list of witnesses. I believe LE said they had contacted the local WM businesses. Did they have time to search all the Colorado Springs-area landfills? I don't know.

Me, too.

I think she drove him to a remote area, killed him, then concealed him somehow.

I don't see any possibility whatsoever that she disposed of him in a location unfamiliar to her.

She would have wanted to feel as much control over the situation as possible.

Nobody feels a sense of control in a strange environment.

Any and all remote areas where she's known to have visited, gone hiking, etc., would be likely spots in my mind.

How about just placing him close to home? I think Hatfield suggested that. I hadn’t given it a lot of thought. Maybe she put him close to home and then drove around all those places to purposely mislead LE. Truthfully,I didn’t think she was that clever, but the only thing I give her credit for is murder.

medications and other drugs can have extremely different responses dependant on the person taking them and how their brain chemistry is effected.
people and doctors can be very cavalier about the impacts of brain altering medications, i've seen the side effects of that in the lives of several people over the years.

my brain doesn't make much dopamine naturally at all, if i take any ssri's or other serotonin boosters/ dopamine inhibitors, it can literally kill me but conversely i do have to take a very high dose of a stimulant med (30mg dex) which helps a bit, i actually sleep better and find it easier to relax on my meds than off , if a person with more normal brain chemistry took my daily dose it could be fatal.
my ex stole one tablet once... 5mg and he could not sleep for about 24-36hrs .. he was highly agitated and very hyper. he never touched my meds again.

i can definitely imagine Tee enjoying the feeling that i hear people get from taking stimulant drugs and the problems that it may cause with her already aggressive personality.

She must have communicated with him a few times around the time he "went missing." Albert said when it got dark they started to worry, and they (probably AS) checked with some of his friends to see if they had seen him. Then they decided to call at 6:55 to report him missing. Or rather, TS made the call and provided them with information to back up the runaway story.

Imo
@MsBetsy thank you bringing that forth. So, it wasn’t until the “street lights came on”...jarred my memory, I saw that written somewhere. It still begs the question, did she go neighbor to neighbor for ring camera help. I certainly would but if you’re trying to mask a crime, LS may have deduced this would be a calculated exaggeration, therefore no running about her street to give directional support...on which way he’d gone.

Rhetorical mostly.

“I know we have a lot going on, but people are still asking questions about #GannonStauch. Here’s what the sheriff’s office had to say this morning about progress in the case, and the move to unseal #LeteciaStauch’s arrest affidavit. Say they are still searching.”

I have been thinking a bit differently today about (wherever- the place I can't mention) Tee was seen going to the 'windows' and looking out a few times.
Maybe she did that on purpose to alert store clerks that she is looking at/for something in the parking lot.
Perhaps Gannon was not even in the truck then and the whole purpose was to make someone say they saw her looking out the window, to create the illusion that he was in the truck. Thoughts?
I wonder if she realized that he was almost dead in the back seat and even she couldn't bear to be in the car when he passed. So she went into the store and went out and took his body somewhere and realized she needed to go back and buy something and so validate her previous stop. MOO MOO MOO

It seems odd to just now release these photos yesterday after all this time:

It has been nearly two years since the family of Jane Mudder has heard from her.

On Wednesday, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office released a photo of Mudder and a vehicle tied to her case. Authorities are hoping for help from the public in finding her.

The Major Crimes Unit is asking for any information to include any sightings you may have had of Jane. They are also asking if you received or made a phone call to Jane on May 5, 2018, to please call the Investigations Tip Line at 719-520-6666.
MISSING: Colorado woman last seen in 2018, El Paso County Sheriff's Office asks for public's help
How strange. After being missing after 2 years. Sounds unlikely that she is ok.
To me sounds like she is a victim of a deadly scam.
As far as I can see Cascade Colorado is just west of Garden of the Gods. Maybe they found her case was still open and when scouring the areas for any precursor crimes.

Oh, of course. Duh, I am slow today. Feeling good but got worked up about the virus yesterday. (O/T but I had to buy a new washer and the guy selling it to me said they cannot keep freezers in stock. In the conversation, he said a woman working for the Army Corps of Engineers came to his store several weeks ago and bought a massive side by side freezer for the office. She told him “a virus is coming”. He had no clue what she was talking about. On the other hand, I trust God. So all is well.)

ETA: Make this thread all about Gannon. Sorry for being off topic.

I like the idea that Gannon is near home. As others have noted, it would fit in with her runaway narrative. She then drove to various far away places to get rid of evidence here and there, thinking (hoping) it would never be tied together. Damn the smartwatch, cameras, etc. She thought all she had to do was leave her phone at home, but alas! Foiled again!

She realizes, in the middle of the night maybe, that didn't take her watch into consideration (or some other significant overlook), so she runs the truck to the 24 hour carwash, cleans it up, then next morning she rents a car and re-hides evidence.

MOO. And I'm already poking holes in it myself. Did she have her phone or watch with her Tuesday morning in the rental? Say she left her watch home, but took her phone and turned it off for an hour or so. Has it back on in time to communicate with Al in regards to picking him up at the airport.

I think she attempted to cover up evidence, realized she hadn't considered something significant, and did a second cover up attempt.

I’ve been rescanning the witness list and I see Norwood. They are a real estate construction, development and property management group. Could it be they have access to most infrastructure plans within the search areas?
Yes. Zoning has DO and plans. I’ll pop over there to see what’s accessible.

So, if LS left her phone at home, to avoid tracking, but didn't know Apple Watch would track her...if she wasn't up to something nefarious, why did she bother to leave the phone at home?

If Gannon is actually near Lorson Ranch, she couldn't have believed she was leading LE on a wild goose chase. She would have thought she was flying under their radar. If she wanted to mislead police, she would have left Gannon near home and then driven all over (with her phone), making random stops that are red herrings.

It's hard for me to believe she'd leave her phone at home thinking "Sure, LE will track me by my watch instead!" I believe she thought her whereabouts on January 27 would remain mostly undetected.

Odd if she really took Gannon's phone instead (and then brought it back to the house - perhaps to try and show he'd come back to the house?) Did she mean to take both phones but was too distracted? Did she mistake Gannon's phone for her own (unlikely)?

Gannon was in the truck that day, and then he wasn't. She drove that truck to where ever she left him, on that day. IMO.

I'd think they'd have the plans for all the underground cabling, etc. They might know who the EE for the development is.

What's your theory there?
Well, I don’t really have any specifics but wondering about stuff like this:
Security engineering is a specialized field of engineering that focuses on the security aspects in the design of systems that need to be able to deal robustly with possible sources of disruption, ranging from natural disasters to malicious acts.

In one form or another, security engineering has existed as an informal field of study for several centuries. For example, the fields of locksmithing and security printing have been around for many years.
Security engineering - Wikipedia

Maybe the introduction of a cyber security specialist. Idk. Thinking aloud...

ETA: from the above Wikipedia link:
Methodologies
Technological advances, principally in the field of computers, have now allowed the creation of far more complex systems, with new and complex security problems. Because modern systems cut across many areas of human endeavor, security engineers not only need consider the mathematical and physical properties of systems; they also need to consider attacks on the people who use and form parts of those systems using social engineering attacks. Secure systems have to resist not only technical attacks, but also coercion, fraud, and deception by confidence tricksters.

My opinion. TS did not go into deep planning and preparing to not get caught. Angry and careless, thinks she can lie it gone. Gannon will be found closer to his home. TS may have been nervous about getting rid of some evidence after some thought such as items thrown out. She was not able to cover up blood or all evidence in the home, Gannon cut foot or nosebleeds excuses. As time went on she played on mostly her lies to cover the evidence. Used her lies so much that I believe her actions would be to drive around nervously to leave what she thinks is going to be some kind of witness trail of stops to help her. TS wants confusion on her trail but Gannon may very well be in an area where she has been darting around. My opinion

It's possible.

My own inclination is to believe that she went with the runaway narrative b/c she had disposed of him somewhere with the plan/intention that his body never be discovered.

"He ran away, never to be seen again," or something along those lines.

I think in her empty brain, she thought that if she told LE he ran away, and GS was subsequently never found, LE would never be able to prove that he hadn't run away.

I think that's what she had in her "mind" as she was selecting her murder site.

Another case of an evil dumbo believing the "No Body, No Crime" fallacy.

Just like Frazee…and just like Frazee, she'll soon find out just how wrong she was, in every respect.

LWOP + 156 years.

Way to go, Slick.
