How on earth did SB have a visit from a professional who somehow furnished her with staples etc?

I speculate the only people visiting her have been trusted persons known to the prison and who are aware of protocols regarding dangerous objects. Maybe she was sent / given a whole heap of paperwork stapled together, per her request for hardcopy.

Were that to be the case, IMO, she should now forfeit her right to hardcopy. I did state up thread that SB will use every factor involved in her case in every possible permutation in order to distract and deflect from the matter at hand.

My words beginning with 'd' to describe SB tactics would be - delay, distract, deflect = functions of her denial.

I imagine the end point of all this will be that SB's case will be conducted in her absence as she will ultimately leave the judge and court with no option but to exclude her because of all her antics.

Peter @ the "Lawyer You Know"is now an approved source at WS.
He's my all around favorite legal mind for high-profile trials, arrests etc.

Attorney fees motions filed.
Her lawyers list all the media sites that they view to see what people are saying about the case.
LYK was among them.

SB is about three decades late to the pinned jeans party.

How did SHRAPNEL get past security? She is a rule breaker purely for the joy of rule breaking.

I wonder if the wayward staples rode in on discovery or if she's been amassing her fleet over years.

It sees as soon as the judge bends to her ask she changes what she asks for. Exhausting. Impossible to satisfy.

Every day that passes, I fear for the new missives she's penning.

She's her own genre. Sci fi meets comic sans.

Interesting stuff. Seems that SB recently made much fuss about online content affecting her case and there is a close timing between most recent lawyer, Cashman, reviewing online content and then stepping down due to various issues but noting 'conflict of interest'. Is it possible Cashman has seen online content that proves SB has deceived her I wonder?

A woman accused of zipping her boyfriend in a suitcase and leaving him to suffocate must act as her own attorney after disputes with eight different defense lawyers. Will Sarah Boone be compelling enough to convince a jury she’s innocent? Or will she be convicted for the death of Jorge Torres Jr.?

Is that what she was going for? Skinny jeans?
Sorry Luna20…… but that image and your perfect note! Won’t post it here, but some of us well remember and are old enough to have danced to “Caribbean Queen”…… Billy Ocean….. when it first came out….

‘She dashed by me in painted on jeans’……. and IMO this SB thread needs a little levity. What happened to JT jr is absolutely horrendous. And she IMO should receive the maximum allowed. Hope the jury is paying good attention. MOO

Baffled as to why she was stapling her clothes - I'm going far out of my way to find a rational explanation...

Perhaps it's the case that her trouser bottoms slide down when she's seated in court and she can't adjust them / pull them up, as her hands are cuffed in front of her? That would certainly be an issue of dignity but doesn't warrant her using contraband staples in such a manner.

I noticed she had 'words' with her female security officer when she was stood up to be escorted out of the court room on one occasion and the officer 'tugged' at the back of her clothing. I thought it was an odd move at the time. I think it was the 'surprise' session where Patricia Cashman applied to stand down.

I dunno -- there was some discussion in court when she asked to wear a skirt, and the Court explained to her what she would be wearing on her legs to allow movement in the courtroom which would be seen by jurors if she was wearing a skirt. I wonder if she was trying out ways to hide the same if wearing pants, in advance of trial-- practicing with her jail scrubs. In other words, trying to come up with a legitimate complaint, as one does, to delay a proceeding. Judge told SB her other option was to remain seated, and not have the freedom of movement. JMO

I think not.

Cashman did not need to read anything online to know SB was deceiving her in person right to her face and also deceiving Cashman into meetings that SB then walked out on. Writing insults about Cashman to the judge was also a big red flag of deceit.

I hope she's in a soundproof room, can you imagine being her cell neighbour?

She's in an open / shared dorm! She referred to having 63 dorm mates at some point. Also claims to have friends amongst them. I imagine she wins them over with her letter writing skills and tales of how she's going to walk free... LOL.

At one point, she asked for use of a classroom to work on her case and the jail staff said no but they offered to move her into a private cell instead of the open dormitory she's currently in. She said no because she didn't want to leave her friends!

Two new documents have been uploaded to the Orange County court system under Sarah's case.

One is an order setting a hearing for September 3. Two motions will be addressed. One is to review the state's physical evidence. The other is to address Sarah's request for payment for a neuropsychiatrist.

The other uploaded document is puzzling. It's a typed motion to dismiss the case due to violation of speedy trial. It has typos. Included is a photocopy of amendments 1-7 from the Bill of Rights. Also included is a scan of the envelope it was mailed in. It was sent to the court clerk from what appears to be a private party in California. Their name is listed in the return address of the envelope (I don't think I can put it here). What's this about?
