HA!! I did the same thing tonight.
I had an alarm set for hearing today, but got busy at work, so set it for tonight so I could catch up...darn it...it was rescheduled.

I've beaten ya! I turned up yesterday (13) couldn't find a thing so checked my diary and noticed I'd got it for today. To make sure I came here and looked back 2 pages and saw a post say it's the 17th. Turned over to next page it's the 21st now.
I remember the date changing, but where I originally wrote the date I have no idea BUT I have got her in for the 21st. Don't remember writing that.

Found Deceased - CO - Gannon Stauch, 11, Colorado Springs, El Paso County, 27 Jan 2020 *Arrest* #51

2/8/22 Update: Murder: Motions hearing on 2/11/22 & review hearing for escape attempt on 2/11/22. And trial readiness hearing on 3/17/22 & review hearing for escape attempt @ 9am.
2/11/22 Update: Stauch plead not guilty by reason of insanity to murder charges on Friday, 2/11/22. Fourth Judicial District Judge Gregory R. Werner accepted the plea & Stauch’s upcoming murder trial, which had been scheduled to start on March 28, is vacated. In court on Friday, Werner advised Stauch on the legal Ramifications of entering the plea. She answered a few direct questions with a simple “yes,” & also nodded her head in the affirmative. Defense attorney Joshua Tolini told the court that a psychiatric expert is being brought in from out of state to evaluate Stauch. Prosecutors did not object to the plea. He agrees the speedy trial clock will re-start. Prosecution is not consenting to wave a jury trial. Judge says Defense has to show "good cause" for entering a delayed plea. Judge now addressed Stauch. He is reminding her she will go through a mental evaluation & what it could include. She has the right to remain silent during the evaluation, which can be used to determine her sanity. Defense attorneys filed a motion to dismiss the jury trial, according to Tolini based on Stauch's concern over the "massive amount of pre-trial publicity, she will not be able to find a fair jury pool. Prosecutors objected. Allen clarified, saying that prosecutors didn't currently consent to a waiver of a jury trial because they didn't know what the NGRI report would say. He said they may change their minds based on that report & that addressing the issue today might be premature. Stauch defense has filed a motion to proceed with a trial to the court & waive a jury. Stauch believes because of the pretrial publicity, the court can’t find a fair jury pool. Judge won’t make a ruling today. He ordered Stauch to undergo a sanity evaluation at the Colorado Mental Health Institute. Friday’s hearing took about an hour & Stauch’s next court hearing is scheduled on 3/17/22 for status conference & for escape attempt a review hearing.
3/17/22 Update: Status conference hearing for murder & the review hearing for escape attempt have been moved to 4/14/22 @ 3pm. 3/17/22 Update: Now status conference hearing for murder & the review hearing for escape attempt have been moved to 4/21/22 @ 1:30pm.

STAUCH STATUS CONFERENCE: Here in the courtroom for #LeteciaStauch status conference. I will live tweet what happens on this thread. Should be starting in next two minutes. @KDVR

Letecia is not here today but the judge signed a motion to excuse here from appearing today.

Judge just got letter from state hospital yesterday. Essentially the state hospital indicates that there is some other info they need.

Letecia told the doctors that her defense team gathered records from several sources. The drs need to review those records and they are in South Carolina. Letecia's attorney is going to SC with a social worker on Monday to get them. He hopes to get them in the next two weeks.

"I’d love to do something to move this case forward but in the position i’m in now I can’t do anything about the state hospital.” - Judge Werner

June 9th at 1:30 pm - the next court appearance. They hope to have the state hospital's report on Letecia for this date.

Hospital told court they think they can get the report done by end of May.

LeteciaStauch is not in the courtroom. She's refused to be transported from the jail in the past. Her counsel filed a motion to waive her presence, and the Judge Werner approved that.

Judge Werner said he received a letter from the Colorado Mental Health Institute at Pueblo yesterday, they're going over the letter now. It appears they're asking for more time to complete their evaluation, they're aiming for the end of May.

It appears that the mental health professionals that are performing the evaluations on #LeteciaStauch want to be able to go over additional records before completing their report. Stauch's attorney is planning to travel to South Carolina to get some of those records.

It appears those medical professionals are also asking for a follow-up interview with Stauch after they receive access to those records. They're hoping to have the report complete by the end of May, Stauch's next hearing is now scheduled for June 9th at 1:30 PM.

Judge says he would "love" to do something to move this case forward, but he has no control over the state hospital and getting their report.

The next court appearance is now scheduled for June 9 at 1:30 pm,
assuming the hospital's report will be ready by then. @KOAA

GAAAAAAH

I so hope these additional records can be obtained quickly and they can move forward. Sometimes the wheels of justice move so very slowly, but I remain hopeful for Gannon's sake.

E
BM to add that I believe this article has a typo— saying the next hearing is June 1.
All other reporters stating it’s June 9.

Triall for Letecia Stauch, accused of killing stepson, delayed again as her mental health evaluation needs more time to be completed

Professionals need more time to evaluate Letecia Stauch's mental health before they conclude their report, an El Paso County judge said Thursday in case that accuses the woman of killing her stepson more than two years ago.

The decision again delays a trail that was scheduled to start last month.

On Thursday, lawyers on both sides said they hope to have the report completed by the end of May. Stauch's next hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. June 1.

In a status hearing for Stauch, who did not appear in court, one of her lawyers said he is traveling to South Carolina to get additional records.

When did LS last reside in South Carolina? Just wondering how old these mental health records would be.
LS and AS moved to Colorado in 2018 if I recall correctly.

She sent a letter from jail to the Judge in February 2021 after almost a year in custody ( she was arrested March 2020).

In the letter she tells the Judge that she was diagnosed with [ redacted ] in South Carolina in 2016 and said she had treatment for “ reality breaks “.

I guess I’m wondering why it takes a Lawyer AND a Social Worker to fly to South Carolina to collect these records.

Um….FedEx? UPS?

I also wonder why those records weren’t secured at the start of the mental health evaluation. Seems to me that her complete mental health records should have accompanied Tee to the State Hospital.

I hate this woman.
