This case is eerily similar to the Kyron Horman disappearance in 2010. Hoping and praying that the outcome is different here and that there will be answers soon. Where are you Gannon?

I'm new to these cases but I saw someone mention that Gannon's case so far reminded them of Lucas Hernandez's case so I looked it up and wow that was really similar too! There's big differences of course but the timeline has definite similarities. Stepmom was his main caregiver while the dad was working out of state at the time he went missing, she kept him home from school because he was sick, missing and unaccounted for span of time with her and Lucas (which is when she dumped his body), later that night says he went missing, makes very obvious lies to investigators that are easy to disprove. Crazy stuff. I'm hoping it'll be different in Gannon's case.

I'm late to this thread and have been slowly catching up. You're all doing great sleuthing here. Much appreciated.

Besides Kyron Horman's case, this one also reminds me a lot of Dylan Redwine's. Especially the self-aggrandizing "word salad" interviews from the stepmother (like Dylan's father) and alluding to the missing child being at fault (running away).

I hope they find Gannon sooner than Dylan was found (and I wish the same for Kyron). Such a horrible thing for the parents to go through.

The stepmothers behaviour reminds me very much of mark Redwines behaviour in the early days of Dylan being missing. Very self focussed with contradictions, word salad and trashing of the bio mom.

If the texts about the carpet are true and the search for “can my parents find me if I turn off my phone” there is definitely an element of premeditated acts. Something happened Sunday that necessitated a) him missing school and b) explained a damaged carpet. I expect she did the search and used “my parents” to make is less suspicious than “can I be found if I turn off my phone”. The hike may have been a scouting trip for a good “spot” to leave GS. She does sound like a heartless narcissist. The motive I’m sure was hiding abuse. Since it has been mentioned school kids might have know of abuse.

IMO I felt the wording in the cell search seemed somewhat out of context for his age. Also, for a child who enjoys tech, gaming etc I found it strange he would leave his cell phone at home, I know my child would rather lose a limb than leave home without the cell phone (as bad as that sounds) If my child wants to go to the park or a friends house I confirm if the cell phone is in tow for checking in, keeping me informed & I have a way of making contact if necessary.

BBM. I strongly agree. I think this aligns with what she said when asked if she had a message for Gannon. Not anything along the lines of true concern for his welfare but basically (paraphrasing here): "I'm looking forward to him apologizing to me for all my suffering during this ordeal." The mind boggles, truly.

I'm still in the camp that as recently as that interview, she truly thought the runaway story was believable and so I think that Gannon will be located relatively nearby.
The step mom isn’t the smartest kid on the block. I understand she recently received her masters degree in what l have no clue nor do I care. But does she really believe after giving the interview, anyone would believe her. The reporter allowed her to ramble on and on. Good idea on his part. The Sheriff’s dept. can shift through all her lies and hopefully find some facts needed in finding Gannon.

Long-winded speculation to follow:

I just went back and watched the video a few more times. I think I "saw" something that i can't recall hearing or reading before. The weird thing is what allowed me to "see" it is from a handful of things that i HAVE heard or read here.

It doesn't seem like a huge deal. It's more that i think that it supports others' theory about a potential, specific clue.

This involves when she returns at 2:15 and gets out of the truck. The discussions that helped me "see" this are:
The door "bouncing" when she opens it.
What is the white thing she is holding?
The band-aid from her interview.
The possibility that he bit her.
The discussion about which hand you open a car door with.

I'm sure most of you now know where this is going (and you're right), but I'm just getting warmed up. ; )

So basically, I noticed the "white thing" as soon as she opened the door. It appears to be near her left shoulder area. When she gets out, you can see the white thing in her left hand. Wait a minute. Why would her leff hand be up by her shoulder when she opens the door? Doesn't everybody open the driver's door with their left hand?

So say she opened the door with her right hand. Did she have to push it open and let it go at some point? Hence the door bouncing when it reaches it's limit. My guess would be that she was driving with one hand as well. Hence the difficulty parking.

So i think the white thing was a hand towel, or a rag, or a t-shirt, or something.

I think she did injure her hand. Hence the band-aid discussion. I think this may be more evidence that she did injure it during this "trip". Who knows if it is a cut, blister, or bite. The bad thing is that this happened 10 days ago. Hopefully LE is aware of this and were able to examine her hand early on before it healed. I don't know what would be necessary for LE to be able to examine it. A warrant? An arrest? I would think that maybe a bite could be potentially damming evidence.

And a blister could indicate the use of a shovel.

I was thinking it could be a somewhat serious injury, but she might have been just being very careful to not get her blood in/on the vehicle.

Yep, my sentiments exactly. Gannon did not do that Google search. His phone was left behind and I guarantee TS left hers behind too. But that's okay because in this day and age camera's and tag readers are everywhere! Did the truck have GPS or did she try and disable that too? Trust me, she will not get away with this.

Right, and her back to the camera...guess she didn't want anyone to recognize her? Add in the Band-Aids clearly visible on her hand?? Oh and let's not forget pulling her daughter into the mix and coaching her to supply and alibi? It looks bad on her, real bad!

Like I said not the smartest kid on the block!

What is the white thing she is holding?

When she first appeared in the video she was wearing a white beanie so I assumed she could just be carrying it instead of wearing it when she returned. I think other people speculated that it was a plastic bag or something too.

Just on one point, maybe it’s knowledge bias or something, but the white thing in her hand was about the only thing I could see relatively clearly in video, either on my phone or on my computer, and to me it actually looks like a prescription bag. No idea why she would have picked it up, but that’s what I thought I saw. IMO.

I agree with your 1st sentence. After hearing her interview, my jaw dropped when I read the end of #2 on the linked MSM site...unbelievable if it’s accurate.

When she got in the truck she was wearing a white beanie. When she came back without Gannon and she got out of the truck the beanie was not on her head, she was probably overheated, she had that beanie in her hand. Also of interest, when she backed that truck into the driveway and Gannon got in, it only took her one time to back in properly. When she got back without Gannon, she was flustered. It took her three times to get that truck backed in properly. Adrenaline had the best of her and panic...

Denver Fox31 Local 10:00 pm news was just rerunning on TV and their reporter said shortly after crime scene techs left a white vehicle drove into the garage. They shut the garage door behind them so she couldn’t tell who was in the car. I assume it was family as I doubt LE would park their vehicle in the garage.

It’s not clear if this happened before or after LE startled “people inside” when they went to shut the garage door. Seems weird that family would reopen the garage door and leave it open after parking the car and closing the door. But also weird if family is back home and LE is staying there too. Maybe family came to pick up some personal items (authorized since LE was inside to supervise) and left shortly thereafter leaving the door open. Dunno.

I hate to speculate...the only white vehicle I know of in this scenario belongs to the 17 year old daughter of TS. Hmmm

I thought that was weird too. The whole timeline of this is a bit confusing tbh. It's not normal for investigators to let people live in a house they're actively investigating with a crime scene unit, is it? I have no idea.

Looks like the family left in a white vehicle when CSI arrived today, it should be in the media links from earlier in the thread.

ETA: when CSI arrived YESTERDAY didn’t realize it was already past midnight

Its definitely not the norm...but nothing about this case has been normal. Things are happening behind the scenes possibly. I trust LE is on top of things.

I feel pretty strongly that that truck doesn't have gps.

I saw someone mention fitbits, but dont know if she has one, or if they have gps capabilities. It could be something I could see her overlooking, but it would probably be long gone by now. Maybe not if is syncs the gps data with her phone?

The bad thing is that I would expect her to go to a remote area where cameras would be scarce. But ANY camera sighting could be huge to at least know which direction she went.
