The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is searching for 11-year-old boy who ran away from home.
He was wearing a blue jacket and jeans when he left his house.

He is 4'9" and weights 90 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call (719) 390-5555.

Gannon Stauch of Colorado Springs left home on foot around 3:15 p.m. to go play at a friend's house, his parents say, but never came home.

Gannon was wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans and tennis shoes when he went missing. He has brown hair with brown eyes and weighs 90 pounds.
The EPC Sheriff's Office is asking you to call 719-390-5555 if you have seen Gannon or know of his whereabouts.‬

The last known sighting of Stauch was Monday afternoon between 3 and 4 p.m. in the Lorson Ranch neighborhood at his home. He lives along Mandan Drive east of Colorado Springs near Fontaine Boulevard and Marksheffel. He was reportedly going to visit his friend a few streets away.

Gannon's father is a member of the National Guard, and the Guard is assisting with search efforts.

Due to his age and expected weather, the Major Crimes Unit is assisting in the search because they have more tools at their disposal.

Rarely are things black and white when it comes to the Websleuths rules.

One of our rules is we cannot accuse just anyone of a crime. Good rule. Another rule we do our best to follow is unless law enforcement says someone is a suspect or even a person of interest we cannot accuse anyone connected to a case of a crime.

Then we have our great big gray areas. Like Gannon's case.

It is rare these days for law enforcement to actually say someone is a suspect but we have to use our common sense.

Take the case of the missing children of Lori Vallow. Her behavior and the fact that people around her are dropping dead leaves us with the very logical conclusion that she has done something with her children and therefore we do allow our members to discuss this case with Lori and her husband Chad as possible perps involved in her missing children.

Mark Sievers was just convicted of 1st-degree murder in the death of his wife Dr. Teresa Sievers even though he was hundreds of miles away when she was murdered. Early on we allowed our members to discuss Mark Sievers as a suspect because of what our members discovered and it was only common sense that he was a suspect.

Then there is the case of Heidi Broussard. Her boyfriend was 100 percent innocent in her disappearance and her murder but many members decided to accuse him of being involved because he was awkward in front of the camera. I hope that those who felt it was OK to accuse a man when there was no evidence to suggest he had anything to do with the crime will re-think before they ever do something like that again. Remember, unless the Internet blows up, Heidi and Shane's children could (one day) read your words about their father.

Your words have power. You are responsible for your opinions. We cannot babysit this thread 24/7.

Always imagine you are standing in front of the person you are posting about. Imagine that person knows your real name and where you live. Imagine that person has the power to go on a forum and say something about you. Now, this scenario is strictly a fantasy but it is a great guideline to use when you post.

Here for Gannon! Was hoping to log in and see that he was found or an arrest was made. My heart breaks for his parents, especially his mom. I couldn't even imagine what this is like for her. Hopefully today is the day for answers. Where are you buddy? We all want you home safe.

At 6:28 in this interview he asks about the hike, at 6:30 she asks to bring her daughter to verify she saw Gannon. (he wants to know about the hike not verifying if the daughter saw Gannon):rolleyes: at 6:51 TS tells her daughter "they" want you to verify that Gannon was home. Not once did he ask for verification that Gannon was home! He wanted to know about the hike! She didn't do an interview, she even refused to answer the questions he asked not by saying no to them but by suggesting to talk about what she wanted the public to know. What a manipulator!

It's the Age of Surveillance. This is a really good point, and likely speaks volumes as to why we haven't heard anything -- it takes time to sift through ALL the traffic and intersection cams and reassemble a timeline and direction of travel. Once that's done, there will be a highly accurate, verifiable timeline of the travels of that vehicle, which, when combined with the missing gaps, strongly narrows down possible disposal locations. Bonus points if the footage is good enough to see if anyone's in the vehicle with her at various points along the way. This is painstaking work, and chews up time and eyeballs.

Yep. According to the site they take pictures every 2 minutes.

"When viewing the map, click on any of the camera icons to see a snapshot and location. Snapshots are taken approximately every two minutes."

We have to be careful about where any information comes from when we start discussing it here. If it’s not mainstream media (MSM) but came from SM (social media), FB or Insta, we cannot talk about it until it appears in MSM.

But it’s fair game to talk about anything SM said in that disastrous interview.

If we keep talking about stuff that’s not allowed, the thread keeps getting shut down for clean up and if it gets ridiculous the mods will start issuing TOs. I’ve been in the fall out of that more than once. It’s not fun.

I noticed that story about Gannon texting his dad the day he went missing keeps coming up. Some thoughts...

1. This has never been mentioned either by LE or by any MSM article. The source for this is social media rumor, and not allowed here.
2. Even more importantly maybe, Gannon left his home just after 10am that morning, and never came back. His phone was at the house.
While it is possible and reasonable I think to suspect someone else used his phone that afternoon and texted his dad (not that we have any proof of that), if that did happen... it wasn't Gannon who sent that text.
 
We all keep focusing on Gannon being the victim of something because it "seems" most probable. The thing that has been bugging me this morning is that I haven't seen or heard anything about timeline verification of when he searched about whether his parents could find him if he took his phone. I really hope that they have not given up on looking through computer history searches, including those at SM's work and Gannon's school. I am still hoping that he is alive and safe.

Yup, it’s pretty much like that Investigation Discovery show called “See No Evil” where crimes are basically solved by finding cameras in the area and then spending countless hours viewing all the footage. That usually leads to them having to find another camera that captures images of the perp. If lucky, they can get clear enough images to get license plates, passengers and identify the perp.

In this case, that could be taking a lot of time because they are trying (no doubt) to track everywhere she was Monday so the information can lead to what she did with Gannon.

It’s been weeks now. Where is he? Is he warm, does he have a bed, does he have food, clothing? Is he at a place that is safe? Is he happy, are there other children to play with?

I know things aren’t looking good for Gannon to be alive and I can’t think of a situation where he was taken care of where he wouldn’t be abused and harmed in many ways. Ok, now I want to cry. MOO
 
When Gannon’s BM came down to help find her son, she is staying at her ex-husband’s home but SM and SS left and are staying at a motel?

Was this something that was already planned, that SM and SS were leaving because the marriage broke down or did it happen because Gannon is missing and since Mom is from out of state, and her ex wanted her at the house so they both knew what was going on with their son.

I don’t find it odd that Gannon’s dad invited Gannon’s mom to stay a the house while Gannon is missing, what I found strange was SM and SS both leaving. JMO
