I hate hate hate that awful woman! I’m sorry, I try to lead with love here but what she did to Gannon has taken me to a dark dungeon of despicable contempt for that thing. I didn’t realize it was gonna be this hard. I wish she’d never left Robeson, NC. Can we go back in time and chain her to their water tower?

She requested a jury trial on this one too, she won’t be winning this one like she played her last trial:

Dealing with the juror issue now.

Judge assuring the juror they did the right thing.

Was involved in clergy of the witness's mother-in-law's church. Talked to mother-in-law about end of life arrangements, sang at the funeral of another family member. Only two contacts with the witness. Witness did not talk to her about the case. Thinks she can still remain impartial. Dismissed back to the jury room while the decision is made.

No objection from prosecution. Prosecution gives her props for honesty.

Defense thinks that the connection is too intimate. Gets the relationship wrong, thinks that it was the witness's mother, not mother-in-law. Thinks the witness being an expert gives weight to testimony. Defense says she was always on their cut list.

Judge is going to think about it over the weekend, review her questionnaire and the strike list, seating list, etc.

OOOOH, LS GETTING IN TROUBLE FOR FLIPPING THE BIRD.

Ha, the Prosecution is bringing up the Defendant is Flipping the Bird in the courtroom! One hand signal means wrong almost looks like call me, and she was looking at the Jury Box. Judge is telling her that he can control many things in the courtroom. Judge says, "Don't do that." If I have to I can have you removed from the proceedings if you try to disrupt the courtroom until you're ready to behave. It appears that LS thinks she's communicating with a Juror.

I think that might have been the reason for the note. Can't be sure, of course, but it sounds like she was doing it to witnesses AND FAMILY. So if AS saw it, he may have reported it.

LS firmly told if she doesn't behave, he will remove her and she can just sit in her holding cell. Good.

I’ve only posted here a few times over the years, but this has brought me out of “lurking” mode!

Am I the only one thinking that all of this horror started out with her angry about the GOTGs bathroom accident, and cruel retribution once getting home? Probably horrible verbal abuse and humiliation, possibly lit the candle to make him feel bad about odor, tortured him with it, then killed him the next day to keep him quiet?

I am still baffled by exactly what went on with that candle. Just as we all were three years ago. I would be interested to hear any theories on what happened with the candle, in light of trial testimony. Apparently something bad enough to kill him to keep him from telling about it. :-(

Today's final witness was another crime scene investigator with CSPD, Brooke Bell, who testified about several more spots and items in the Stauch's home where possible blood was discovered.

Notably, Bell testified that the burn marks on the Stauch’s carpet/ground were not consistent with Stauch’s story that Gannon knocked a candle over on accident, causing those burns.

Also, that there was potential blood discovered in the area where Stauch had cut the carpet off the floor.

Final thing for the day is a juror indicated to the judge that she knew one of the witnesses "distantly" through her church, and sang at her sister's funeral. Allen stated he had no issue with the juror remaining, Tolini asked to have the juror dismissed.

Juror stated she had only met the witness in question twice prior to today.

No ruling coming today, Judge Gregory Werner stated he will review this over the weekend and decide on Monday.

Allen is stating now that it has come to the prosecution's attention that Stauch has been "flipping off" some people in the courtroom at points today. I personally have not seen this, however, I am sitting right behind her so can't say for sure that it is or isn't happening.

When Werner stated she would be kicked out of the courtroom and the trial would go on without her I heard Stauch whisper to her attorney "that sounds good.”

Trial is over for the day, we will kick back up on Monday morning.

Just creeping back in here. SO so happy that Judge called LS out on her behavior. He's got her number, he's not playing. He has watched Judge Dorrow handle the creep behind the boxes. Hope he goes home and has a beer and a smoke. Game On!!

So, it's the weekend! Sleep well, eat yummy food, chill, do what makes you happy.

Yesterday I did very little. Watched nearly all of Dinnerladies, which I haven't seen in twenty plus years since it first aired, and let my poor ears recover from nearly eight hours of headphone wearing. Next two days, more of the same. Hope you all have something fun to do with your break! See you back here on Monday, if not sooner for general case chat. Much love to you all. <3

Judge will rule on juror Monday.

LOL
Prosecutor asking judge to admonish Letecia from flipping the bird to Gannon’s family. Judge says if it continues he’ll have her put in a holding cell until she’s ready to be respectful.
Why do I feel like this will only make her do it more?

She has already shown leading up to the trial she isn't trying to be there. (Remember judge issued an order that they can use any means to get her there)

I have strong suspicion the bathroom accident only happened in LS's brain.

I think Witness Bell nixed the candle story, once and for all.

I think the burn to the carpet was caused to cover up a blood event. That the original carpet square was the piece found hidden within the roll covered in blood. That the burnt piece in the trash was meant to be taken as being from the original carpet, when it was nothing of the sort. It was cut and deliberately burnt for the purpose of misdirection. But that is very much my opinion only, and speculation. We may hear different later, as more evidence and testimony is presented.

MOO
