Today's final witness was another crime scene investigator with CSPD, Brooke Bell, who testified about several more spots and items in the Stauch's home where possible blood was discovered.
Notably, Bell testified that the burn marks on the Stauch’s carpet/ground were not consistent with Stauch’s story that Gannon knocked a candle over on accident, causing those burns.
Also, that there was potential blood discovered in the area where Stauch had cut the carpet off the floor.
Final thing for the day is a juror indicated to the judge that she knew one of the witnesses "distantly" through her church, and sang at her sister's funeral. Allen stated he had no issue with the juror remaining, Tolini asked to have the juror dismissed.
Juror stated she had only met the witness in question twice prior to today.
No ruling coming today, Judge Gregory Werner stated he will review this over the weekend and decide on Monday.
Allen is stating now that it has come to the prosecution's attention that Stauch has been "flipping off" some people in the courtroom at points today. I personally have not seen this, however, I am sitting right behind her so can't say for sure that it is or isn't happening.
When Werner stated she would be kicked out of the courtroom and the trial would go on without her I heard Stauch whisper to her attorney "that sounds good.”
Trial is over for the day, we will kick back up on Monday morning.
