I wonder if the suitcase had some kind of airtight sealing?

There is a different case on WS about a woman who is on trial because she zipped her boyfriend/husband (can't remember which he was) into a suitcase, he couldn't breathe, and died. Maybe it was because he was compressed and/or because there was not enough air for him to breathe. So maybe a suitcase is more airtight than might be expected?

MOO. (I haven't really been keeping up with the other case, so I am not sure of the final findings.)

I don't think the is a problem that she didn't smell it, either. She was in the van with air conditioning, running constantly, and multiple dogs. Just with one dog in the car, one of us is always saying " omg! Stanley that is disgusting" Dogs love to hot box the car.
But also, I am sorry I don't recall the name, but someone mentioned chicken being left in a car for 24 hours, and I agree BUT I thought about the times I have realized there is bad chicken in the fridge and how as soon as you open the door, you can smell it, but as long as the door is shut, you cannot. I wonder if the suitcase had some kind of airtight sealing?
there is no comparison between a chicken's body and a human body even if a retired fBI agent says so.

HUMAN

CHICKEN

I don't have a clue how she sealed it.
There was no mention of a heavy duty plastic bag or anything at all that might prevent seepage or odour.
I'm surprised she didn't order a cadaver bag.
I think she gave herself permission to kill him a long time before she actually attacked him in a frenzy.

(I always thought she was possessed)

Agreed. Although I have never smelt a decomposing body, I have smelt bad chicken.
I was referring to the smell and airtight sealing.
I was pondering what airtightness there was in the suitcase.

Apologies if this has already been addressed, the threads are moving fast and a lot of us are operating on different time zones. Does the defence only have one witness on their book?

So...I've been looking at the witness list and curious about names I don't recognize. I recognize a handful, tho.
Roderick Drayton-Surely he'll be called to witness stand? I wonder specifically what his testimony will be.
A few other names that I recognize are: Sherri Holes, Special Agent Johnathan Grusing...I suddenly had a thought...
Regarding the Lady all over FB calling out LS? Do you guys think El Paso County Sheriff’s Department might have purposefully leaked that info? I wonder if the Lady is on the witness list? I tried to remember her name, and I couldn't. Maybe my thoughts are just way out there..jmo, MOO my opinion only

Another long one... :) and @iamshadow21 I hope you do not mind if I use some of your posts in my referencing?

Tomorrow morning will pick up with taped conversation between Al Stauch & defendant.
Court will resume at 9am on Wednesday morning, 4/19/23.

Tuesday, witness testimony included that of blood stain analysts, a Myrtle Beach Police detective who assisted in Stauch’s arrest, an FBI agent, and more local law enforcement.

“It appeared to me that the defendant was very cognizant of what was occurring,” said Commander Mitch Mihalko with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office. “She took specific steps, almost being methodical, in misdirecting and redirecting investigative efforts.” That was Mihalko’s response to the prosecutor’s question about Stauch’s sanity. She is pleading not guilty by reason of insanity.

Most witnesses have been asked by prosecutors if Stauch seemed mentally stable around the time Gannon was killed. In short, everyone asked has said yes, she seemed capable of making decisions.

Witnesses have also been asked by prosecutors if they ever saw or heard Stauch change her voice to sound like a different person, or other traits commonly representative of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). So far, no witness has testified saying they noticed such behavior. Stauch’s attorneys have alluded to her having DID.

Yep, and one of those dogs was a frenchie, and if she is anything like my Freuchie, she puts all other dogs to shame. She absolutely stinks.

re the woman who killed her BF by locking him in a suitcase overnight (Sarah Boone), the suitcase wasn’t airtight.

He most likely did suffocate to death, but not cuz there was no air at all. More due to his crushed-up position, his lungs wouldn’t be able to inflate properly to take in enough oxygen & displace the building asphyxiant carbon dioxide

I think it gives LS a great deal of satisfaction that all these witnesses, particularly the professionals, are trying to paint a picture of how Gannon was injured and died...and yet she alone knows every detail and she is enjoying the fact that they may have been wrong about a few facts. She will take to her grave the complete truth and his last words. She knows she's toast, and although she seems bored sometimes, for the most part, I think she's enjoying this ***t show.

I’ve wondered about that too … I can only hope it’s not true!! What a disgusting thought

Has any sort of clear story started to come out about what happened? I’ve heard the testimony but not listened close & hoping someone else will eventually put it all together to make some sense

I agree. I've thought for a while that she may be getting some satisfaction from seeing everyone jumping through hoops 'because of her'. There's no 'saving the family from more grief by admitting guilt and no need for a trial' with her. The 'NG because insanity' is purely her excuse to actually have a trial, even though it's a crock of sh** and she knows it.

Like the old saying goes, actions speak louder than words.
Since we all know he tried his best to fight this witch off, that's all I need to know about brave little Gannon.

She can take all her lies to the grave with her.
No one cares what she has to say anyway, as she's proven herself to be completely full of it.
