Welcome to the case. Every day a terrible, terrible adventure even the most lurid soap opera wouldn't write. Today featured a possible threesome with a kidnapper, a money belly attached to a different kidnapper who was part of a gang money laundering through Mexican restaurants, and accusations of AS's family and/or the LE staging the crime scene in Gannon's room or murdering him there to frame her, couldn't exactly figure which she was trying to imply there. Oh, and we came full circle to her saying Gannon went to play at a friend's house, too, amongst many, many other garbage things that came out of her mouth.

I respect and sympathise with HH. But I did wonder if she maybe told about the routine backhanding as a way to explain why she didn't go to LE after Gannon went missing. ?

Are we sure that was true? I don't doubt that T has a violent streak. But something about that statement didn't ring true for me.

IMO, LS's weapon has always been her mouth. From the AA, Investigators found no record of physical violence or allegations of abuse (to her child or students) prior to the murder of Gannon in 2020. No surprise, LS is always the victim...

She was disparaging AS again. He wanted a 3 way and she didn't and yada yada uada the 3 way person might have gotten mad and be responsible for all of this. But somehow, in that same call I think, she is also 8 weeks pregnant so she can't take any of her anxiety meds. Did you catch that part?

I don't think so. She is protective of Harley. She knows it was wrong. She shows lots of emotion.

I think they're going to go hard. The Mental Health stuff won't be boring - I promise!

But some of the other stuff may be. I fear that they will try testimony that makes AS or others look not so good. it will be a bumpy ride. I don't think it will be more boring than what we have seen this week.

I do believe she'd been trying for 5+ years, and fortunately, mother nature intervened. Protecting all for a very good reason.

I think being a teacher and the alleged doctorate in education was all about LS portraying a respectable image.

Very early in the case, a YT host did a deep dive into LS's childhood and early school years where she often made the local news for her achievements.

Maybe. IME prisons have different, more term dynamics than jails.

The South Carolina Board of Education suspended her educator certification to teach in May 2016 for six months for “breach of contract in abandoning her teaching duties” with the district.

Stauch had signed an annual contract with the Marion County School District on June 24, 2015, and had also signed a contract to teach in Charleston, S.C. for the same time period, according to court documents.

Stauch indicated she left because she experienced “harassment and retaliation at requesting to be released from her contract due to a pending military move,” which she said was denied.

Stauch alleged that the harassment and retaliation were due to the district’s superintendent’s niece being her husband’s ex-wife, Hiott.

She threatened to file an equal-opportunity complaint unless she was released from her contract.

“The harassment and retaliation claim was investigated and remains unsubstantiated,” the order of suspension concluded.

Stauch’s certification was suspended for six months in South Carolina. There is no evidence it was reinstated.

I recall there was a small gap in time between the recovery of the suitcase and the legal, positive identification of the victim being Gannon (so that accounts for some discrepancy in the date Gannon was found). March 17 vs March 20, 2020.

Also a bit surprised that she said she took Lorazepam.

I was on lorazepam once for a very short period of time and then removed from it as my Dr said it really wasn’t meant to be a long term or forever drug.

I think the psychiatric evidence is going to be really interesting.

She seemed to be saying that she'd only be given a prescription for it once in a while, some of the times that she complained of anxiety - and that on other occasions they wouldn't give it. This seemed recognisable to me as being a bit like it used to be here in the UK, when in certain circumstances - bereavement, divorce, or some other significantly upsetting time - our doctors would prescribe a very small amount of diazepam or similar, but wouldn't prescribe any more.
