Judge is bringing up everyone in the courtroom is prohibited from capturing proceedings on their cell phones. Don't do it! Second issue is smoking in the building is forbidden, and there's cameras everywhere, so we know who is smoking. Judge wants to be clear -- no phones, and no smoking.

Stream is back.

People are in the gallery being admonished for using their phones to record, that this is forbidden. And also, for smoking in the building. He's naming no names, but he's talking about the smoker being caught before, and caught on video.

Every person is on notice, and those who transgressed know they're on the naughty step.

Jury returning.

Especially if she's mumbling about psychosis. So many kinds! Most of them not permanent!

She cannot tell whether LS was "psychotic" (in any form, including BPD form) at the time she murdered and hid Gannon.

IMO. I think Dr Lewis is basically saying "I don't know" in a bunch of different ways. Which is interesting. Her main goal in life is to find ways of explaining *all* violent behavior via her own method. But she can't describe her method.
Tbh I can’t see any of Letecia’s actions being directly connected to BPD symptoms either. It wouldn’t excuse anything either way; her behavior speaks for itself. But I’m curious to see if there will be more talk about this from defense.

She probably does have BPD, but I think it only facilitated her actions, not caused them, IMO. She was very calm and in control of her actions over an extended period of time, which would be unusual for someone experiencing a BPD-related episode or psychotic break. There’s signs of what looks like premeditation too, like her uncharacteristically backing the car into the garage BEFORE she killed Gannon, IIRC. It definitely doesn’t seem like it was an impulsive act; she was able to clean up the crime scene so well that the other household members didn’t even notice signs of a struggle.

People with BPD who are not narcissists or psychopaths will usually feel remorseful and apologize if they have an episode and act out. Not to mention, the vast majority never murder anybody, much less a child!

Letecia has Gannon's body in a suitcase and drives to the airport. Does she know right from wrong then?
