My partner and I, much like a lot of posters here on WS, were feeling kinda bad for Dr. Lewis, like maybe the defense bamboozled her and set her up for failure because she's obviously not all there and maybe easily confused due to her age.

Well, during today's lunch break I put the HBO documenary on, and that is just how she is. She's an outright fraud and it's easy to see even in the documentary made to spin things in her favor.

Yes, I know she has a doc, but I meant someone needs to make a documentary showing that Dr Lewis is a fraud. It's dangerous to leave the narrative she shares with the public, in her books and documentary, unchecked. She is corrupting mental illness for her own ego and financial gain, imo.

A jury saw more video of Letecia's interview with a psychiatrist, where she appeared to speak as alternate identities.

Thank You. She said some of the women jurors seem to be looking towards the video screen, the one in Letecia's direction, and may be looking at her. Wonder what they think of how her and her attorney have been so chummy the last couple of day. The Jurors sound serious and are really paying attention.

In the meantime, my impression of the last two days of Dr Lewis?
She is juiced. Totaled. Never to go public again. No more HBO doc series. No more books. Way to go doc, and sonny boy. Hope it was worth the 3(50)an hour...

i am hoping that the judge is already drafting a letter to the relevant psychiatric board regarding Dr Lewis’ deregistration.
if LH and AS have lawyers, i hope they also write after the harm she has done these families! Chance Hunt’s family should also complain about how she maligned him

During cross examination today, Dr. Dorothy Lewis testified saying she doesn’t know what was going through Letecia Stauch’s head when she killed Gannon. All other data say, “she loved him, and apparently he loved her.”

Thanks to everyone who commented today - I agree with all of you. I couldn't hear anything on these videos and gave up before the fake Russian accent persona Maria. I finally found Gray Hughes has cleaned up his version and I can mostly hear LS although the voice Dr Lewis is almost totally absent (who cares). If it helps anyone, here is the link, the Russian accent starts approximately 5:45.00 mid-interview

What background research did the doctor conduct? As far as we heard she didn’t verify anything Letecia told her, like flying to Dubai. She never spoke to any family members or friends.

I'd like to know how Dr. Lewis decided/determined that Tee's "Russian accent" bore any relationship to reality... the chance it's like a cliched cartoon visit with Boris & Natasha, I suspect, is strong.

^A very astute question by the jury, one worthy of a full answer. Yet all the windbag doctor offered was a yes, after 2 days of blathering.

I call BS. Dr L never tested for faking by LS. She was more interested in adding another DID case study to her aged resume.

I realised half way through the unintelligible afternoon that I don't actually care where she rots. It doesn't matter whether jury find her guilty but insane or guilty and sane, she will be away for a very long time because she has zero impulse control and no way on earth will she be able to fool another authority.
She is over.
My question is whether a verdict will bring catharsis for Gannon's family, particularly his mother.

This is where I'm at now, too.

One way or the other, Tee is going away for a very, very long time. A poster pointed out here a week or so ago, that a psychiatric ward may be more of a punishment for her, since she could work her manipulation if she was in prison on the other inmates, and even create a sense of control there.

My desire to see her be convicted guilty as opposed to NGRI is because 1. We all know she’s not insane 2. For the family

However, if she is convicted NGRI, I will have to find a way to make peace with it. And the knowledge that she’s going to rot away one way or another is a good starting point.

I said I didn't think this defendant would testify and I'm grateful that she isn't. She would have only caused further confusion, chaos and pain to Gannon's family and loved ones.

Plus, can you even imagine the craziness she would have been trying to fake? I don't think her lawyers, the Judge, or the State could have restrained her.

Get ready to go away to obscurity defendant, I hope we never have to see you or your ugly hair fort (kudos to the poster who called it that) again.

The whole thing is ridiculous, much like the “Fractured Fairy Tales” segment on old Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons. Letecia’s stories are poorly constructed and full of “alters” taken straight from television shows and movies. Twilight? Really?

I don’t know how many members have been following along here but so far not one of us is swallowing Dr. Lewis’ pile of horse dooky. No one. And based on the latest round of jury questions they aren’t either.

It would be laughable until we remember the horror Letecia rained down on Gannon and how frightened he must have been.

So agree @MsMarple, at the end of the disgusting, crazy and at times, comical behavior of this defendant a young, sweet boy was brutally tortured and murdered and disposed of like a piece of garbage. Disgusting.

I don't think I've ever loathed a defendant as much as I have this one.

I’m begging the universe to let these jurors be an intelligent group who are able to make the right decision.
