Duh just realized that even though he is within legal rights of sleuthing, he is married, therefore imo we should not post address info as he could share an address with others. So a general area is enough for the moment as far as looking at any map variables re any other possible abductions over the years.

The Garfield County Sheriff's Office in Utah said it received a call Sunday night about 'two naked individuals ... harassing campers' near Panguitch Lake. One camper gave them food and water, but told them to leave when they came back a second time.

On Monday morning, deputies received another call that 'a young boy and an older man were both naked' walking near Bear Paw Resort. Authorities said the description of the child matched the one from the Amber Alert. When deputies found Freeman and the child, they made them put on clothes and arrested Freeman.

'The juvenile stated that they had been out all night without clothing and that they had slept on the ground under a tree. He stated that they had come from Colorado and traveled through Escalante and purchased tents and sleeping bags while in route,' a jail report states. 'The juvenile stated that they had left Colorado three days ago.'

The jail report states that Freeman told police that the boy is better off with him 'than his dad'. He also accused the child's father of beating the boy with a belt and leaving bruises.

Cases involving children are getting so horrific and probably have always been, but we are now much more aware. Have children always lost out? I must be naive.

David Glenn Freeman, 60 was charged Tuesday with first-degree felony child kidnapping, misdemeanor lewdness involving a child, and misdemeanor reckless endangerment.

He is expected to make his first appearance in state court on Wednesday.

Cases involving children are getting so horrific and probably have always been, but we are now much more aware. Have children always lost out? I must be naive.

If not increasing in number, IMO abuse against children definitely getting more horrific. For example - a Wichita, KS agency was recently re-staffed after investigation revealed abuse incidents that led to death of at least 2 children had been under reported by DCF; and most recently, a 4 year old child tossed into Galveston Bay (by his mother) like a piece of trash was finally identified after more than 8 months. Nobody was looking for him or reported him missing! Some of these children never had a chance...

Missing Crestone boy’s father charged with abuse

The father of a 12-year-old Crestone boy allegedly kidnapped and taken to Utah last month by a non-family member has been arrested and charged with child abuse occurring before the boy disappeared June 23.

According to a report from the Saguache County Sheriff’s Office, James Roe, admitted to a Colorado Bureau of Investigation agent, interviewing him after his son’s disappearance, that he disciplined his son with a belt on a regular basis. Roe’s girlfriend confirmed she had witnessed the incidents and did not agree with the form of discipline used.
