I once had to give evidence in a trial. I was heavily pregnant and the whole thing made me extremely anxious. I wish I had a therapy dog. That would have been lovely. Instead I had a sweet little old lady from Victim Support who was allowed to sit with me. I wonder what she would have thought if I had stroked her hair lol!

I believe the current Governor of Colorado has put a hold on any death row executions during his term (which is now his second term). It will fall onto the next elected Governor to decide if any executions will occur.

Washington is the same...and we have had DP cases ongoing

#TheaterShooting Judge: DA can edit captioned slides from "Look how deep I am" to "Look how deep he is". Seems less like Holmes' statement.

Very interesting debate going on about how the jury can use the pictures and the notebook. The caution from the judge is to GB to be careful what he instructs to the jury about the pictures.

I always thought the jury could use the evidence shown to them how ever they want. Kind of like if I see a notebook quote and I want to believe that means to me that JH was totally sane then I could personally do that as a juror.

Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it, Colorado is one of those states that really doesnt execute their death row inmates if the last link is correct.
So, it is more a symbolic victory for the state with JH getting the DP.

"Since 1977 executed only one prisoner, and may thus be considered as de facto abolitionist since 11 October 2007."

I was curious about my state about DP.

"Pennsylvania has not executed an inmate since 1999 and has carried out only three executions since 1976, making it one of the least-active states with the death penalty. Yet the state also has one of the largest populations of death-row inmates. There are 186 people currently on death row in the state, the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections said, trailing only California, Florida, Texas and Alabama."

Well would have preferred judge to dismiss all the objections but enough overruled that GB can modify fairly quickly. 2 hours each is going to make this a very long day and so jury will not "get" the case today right?
