A post on the Denver live blog host said that GB used 859 slides in opening, so the 875 or what ever number in closing isn't that overwhelming.

I recall that he was rolling them, STS, very quickly -- almost one slide per sentence. No biggie & very effective.

It seems to me that the judge has been super careful to ensure there is very little chance of an appeal based on his decisions.

He has researched every ruling he's made to be sure it's unlikely an appeal can be brought against something he has or hasn't done.

OMG! Why is the judge presuming Mr. B is going to do something wrong!!! :facepalm:

I think i finally understand what the judge was telling Mr. B.

He summarized it by saying you can make "Arguments" to the jury but not give your "Opinions" to the jury.

That helped me when judge said that. I think it means like this example:

Mr. G. could say "We contend to the jury that the quote from JH in the notebook illustrates that he was sane"

But Mr. G. canno say "See this quote in the notebook. It obviously shows he was sane".

Because the latter is more of his opinion, where the prior is correctly letting the jury decide for themselves and Mr G is just showing them the evidence for them.

That is my understanding of what I heard anyway. LOL

this is fascinating.

Well..I am assuming the Pros team are making changes simultaneously on Judges rulings...so It shouldn't take long..even in that one slide..change slight wording in some highlighted question?? Likely most of the alteration completed by the time the Judge finishes his rulings...

BTW~~ I recall the Judge asked the juror's to be flexible ..and already has indicated they would be fine to staying until 6PM their time ..8PM my time..1AM Maisie time :happydance:

But Pros. can object anytime IF what King says is mis-stating evidence..It's fine to ask a question..but you cannot under any circumstances state facts as evidence IF not shown to the jury...

You really didn't miss to much---he presented a few arguments and sometimes you couldn't hear him---Basically the Judge was thinking in chambers...hope that helps

You woke up at a good time. The jury is at lunch and will be back in about 15-20 minutes. Then the PT will get to do closing.
