He doesn't care. On the other hand... why do these poor witnesses have to be so close to him?

Right??? Seems so wrong. But maybe for some, they want to be able to look into the defendant's eyes while telling their truth??

I was wondering how the defense would cross examine these witnesses, I am glad they are NOT, how can they? right?

These are the charges that apply to Munirih Gravelly:
COLTNT 38-Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder in the First Degree (F2)
COUNT 96-Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder in the First Degree (F2)

Witness Munirih Gravelly on Jesse Childress: "We worked on Buckley Air Force Base... computer help desk folks."
Witness Munirih Gravelly on the canister thrown into the theater. "It was small, and the sound it made when it hit the ground, it wasn't all that heavy. It sounded lianica.padilla

Third witness. Long name - sorry.

Was with Jesse Childress, one of those killed.

Going through the (what appear to me) inane questions. Did you see previews? Yes, but don't remember. And eventually, do you remember the movie starting? Yes.

Hard to tell difference between movie and what was happening in the theater.

Prosecutors call Munirih Gravelly to the stand. She was with victim Jesse Childress, who was killed.

This is Jesse Childress, who was killed in the shooting. Munirih Gravelly was at the movie with him

AFAIK, they will not be crossing the victims. They accept what happened, and now everything is just getting into evidence. The time that will have cross :moo: will be when the doctors, teachers etc come to testify etc. as that is the defense thrust for his insanity plea/mitigation... those that are not civilians associated with the shooting in the theater .

They are all still in so much pain....wow and there he sits :gaah:

Witness Munirih Gravelly: "I could hear screaming... I heard a lot of people calling other people's names."

Witness Munirih Gravelly said in the Air Force she had to fire an M-16 a couple times, recognized the smell of gunpowder.

Witness Munirih Gravelly: "I stayed on the ground and tried to slide around on my stomach but the gunfire started again so I stopped and just laid there."

Witness Munirih Gravelly: "I was just waiting for [the gunfire] to stop again, but when it did, I still didn't want to get up. The movie stopped after the gunshots stopped and the lights came on."

Witness Munirih Gravelly: "Jesse Childress, he was face down on the floor, and I asked Derick 'Is Jesse okay?' and he was shaking him but police were telling us to get out. I had to step over him to get out."

Witness Munirih Gravelly: "There were a lot of people and emergency vehicles out there already. Police had us sit on the curb and they kept moving us further down the curb while they tried to separate the injured from the not-injured."

It is still remarkable to me how quickly law enforcement got there!

Prosecutor asked "Did Jesse make it out of the theater?" Witness Munirih Gravelly said, "No. I never saw him again after that."

Witness Munirih Gravelly on the ride to the hospital in a patrol car: "I remember the officer asked me what happened and I told him someone came in the theater and opened fire."

Witness Munirih Gravelly said her face was covered with blood, "But it was mostly someone else's." She initially thought the blood on the theater flood was a spilled soda.

Gravelly said hand injuries due to pellets. Couldn't operate because so swollen. Eventually removed. One removed from scalp #theatershooting

Pellet found in witness Munirih Gravelly's scalp about a month after the shooting. "There was a lot of scar tissue around it... they had to cut around everything and pull it out."

Witness Munirih Gravelly: "It felt like a couple of days before we found out [that Jesse was dead] but I think it was actually Friday evening."

Witness Munirih Gravelly shown document #1129: "It's a diagram of the theater."
