My son has liberty spikes (a mohawk) and it's not easily done. You have to spend a LOt of time getting them to hold up. I had one myself growing up before I shaved my hair off at one point. I sincerely doubt he has a mohawk. Maybe a faux hawk, which is just shaving his head and leaving the center. He would not be given any items with aerosol, or gel etc etc in holding. None.

No, but I've seen the hair gelled so much that I think it would hold up to a few days of non-gelling and still look "mohawkish". JMO, and really not that important in the scheme of things, I suppose.

If there is a link for this it must be from a decent MSM source. The one that is being referenced is not to an acceptable source and was removed when it was originally posted .
So, if we want to find out of this is fact or fiction- we need to find a good link for it.
Otherwise let's leave it out of the discussion.
Thanks for asking about that SO

It was mentioned in a newspaper story. It may well be the Denver Post. That is why there wasnt an odor I bet. Hope this helps.:seeya:

Take care of yourself! We are waiting for Sandy's visit in my area (central PA). Apparently the worst of it is supposed to be Monday night. Be safe!

O/T Re Sandy. We're on the southern coast of NC (not the Outer Banks) & she's trying to get o/o/town... just lots & lots of wind & rain for the past 30+ hours -- no actual flooding here, but just like a storm w/high winds and rain. Just get a good book or a good computer tuned in on WS and settle in. She's a big slow storm and is very slow to leave where she's not wanted.

I don't mean he has a low IQ. I mean he is 17 and feels invincible as 17 yo boys do, so he does stuff out of inexperience and arrogance that adults would know better not to do.
I believe he thought he didn't leave any DNA. I think having taken a CSI course and winning a prize he probably felt pretty cocky about being able to leave no trace, not understanding the full spectrum of what erasing all DNA traces would require.
Like I said, I think he is operating within his own perception of his sphere of authority, out of touch with the reality of the capabilities of LE.
I don't think he thought he could get caught.

I don't think he did either but maybe a little time, the cross picture being distributed, a dna swab sweep (excellent LE!) & mom are the biggest blessings that helped get him the hell of the streets. (my feelings not directed at you ab, btw)

Now to keeping him off the streets. I'm interested in what will one day be revealed, what will the punishments be in the future from trying to understand this horrible death of an innocent little girl.

Trouble at 15 of a sexual nature, trouble in HS possibly too if he dropped out & got his GED, after whatever happened at 15 yo & a 6 month girlfriend who says nice things about him (why did they break up then?), regressing, mom filing for bankruptcy and a young woman gets attacked jogging...not counting numerous other crimes he is being investigated for. They use to mingle with many even after the divorce of AS's parents with the church and locals. What happened when he was 15 will give a big clue hopefully.

Even after I might know the facts as to the why's, I'll still be disgusted, shocked & scared for all of the children. Adults too. Being scared doesn't mean you back down though to speak up. jmo He needs a life sentence to figure out what he has done. jmo

Great reading today. ty!

Don't you hate the sound of that wind. It never stops. Thunder and lightning don't bother me, but that wind is awful and drives me nuts. jmo

My understanding is that Austin told police that they would find more remains at his house, under his house, or in the crawl space. I think that any reference to a cooler came from speculation after watching the live footage the day after he was detained.

I wonder. I know I read it or possibly saw it on channel 9. but now I can't find it anywhere. maybe the MSM misreported it and since retracted it?

Haha, the wind drives me nuts too! I live at the base of the foothills in CO and the wind just whips down the mountains and rattles my house all the time. It gets really annoying. I am from Dallas originally so I know the winds you deal with too. Equally bothersome!

I am praying for those in the path of Sandy :please:

I watch 9news and read other local tv news as well as Denver Post. I cannot remember anything about a cooler. I'm wondering if it was retracted as well.

I've been wondering whether there are Chinook Winds in Colorado ... or near Westminster.

I'm not sure what a Chinook wind is but we definitely have some crazy winds here. Have to look up Chinook winds.

ETA: Apparently, we do have Chinook winds. [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinook_wind"]Chinook wind - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]
Chinooks also occur in Colorado, especially near Denver, where winds blowing over the Rocky Mountain Front Range have raised winter temperatures from below freezing to around 50°F (10°C) in just a few hours.

This is the first in a while that the winds have subdued in AZ. El Nino fizzled apparently for us. Maybe a mild winter here they say. I wish we'd have a rainy winter though. It makes the desert bloom.

RIP Jessica. Rip.

The tornadoes and storms are the worst, but back in the 80's a norther blew in and the wind roared for at least 24 hours. Then it was ice and temps in the single digits. It was awful. I just can't stand the constant roar. Feel for you. Never realized the winds were that bad out there. Yes,, prayers for all those effected by hurricane. There are so many.

Sounds like a good thing to me. lol

Dismemberment shows an "incredible need for power, control and dominance," Fox said. "Such extremely violent behavior suggests it's likely to be repeated."

If convicted, Sigg, who turns 18 in January, would become the exceptionally rare teen killer who mutilated or dismembered his first victim, a little girl who lived in his Westminster neighborhood.

"Nobody just wakes up and does this one day," McCrary said.

Many times things that are reported are pulled for the trial. Might show back up if it's nothing. When it doesn't show back up, it could be a clue or misreported. woe is me, on that.

I don't think that Chinook Winds are necessarily strong winds. I think it can also be a mild wind. The main factor about Chinook Winds is that they cause a significant rise in temperature for up to a few days, so in the winter it can be -30and then 45 or 50 the next day.

That's definitely true. Police wanted to release his picture right away because they wanted people to come forward if they knew of any other crimes committed by him. Clearly police suspect that there is a lot more to this than a first crime of ... as you describe above. The fact that he attempted to confuse police with the backpack late Saturday evening (Oct 6) ... that is so well thought out. This whole abduction/murder doesn't seem like the actions of an inexperienced teenager. Leaving some body parts near a culvert ... again, seems very organized. What he did seems immature, but it doesn't seem beginner-ish.

Since he had remains in the crawl space of his mother's house, there may have been more trophies in that same location. I wonder what other proceedings have been sealed.
