I get the feeling he is ugly/deformed? kinda in the way Johnny Handsome was in the old MR film.

I actually feel this person easily blends in w/ his surroundings and does not look nor act out of place. I think he will be the person that neighbors say "he was such a nice guy, im shocked!"

I feel sorry for the reclusive men of the area who are not criminals and behave in ways that some may deem odd or look ugly to some....because by default, those are the people most will be eyeballing and watching!

Disappointing to see some of you drag a person (an RSO, but a person none the less) through the mud based on some armchair detective work. The distinction between naming a name and giving someone's address or "subtly" directing people to this person's profile is a joke. If you have a tip, send it to LE...let them vet your suspicions before associating someone by name with such a horrendous crime.

Sex Offenders

It is illegal to use the sex offender registry information to harass anyone. We would never condone that at Websleuths. However, it is okay if, when a child goes missing or is harmed, we look at the sex offenders in the area and post their information, along with maps to show how close they live to the victim. He looked a little strange to me too once I looked at that, too casual for biking near LE cars. I guess I am used to spectators that stop and observe the events unfolding in front of them as bikers/pedestrians.

Short thread about Holly here as well. 10 years old. Kidnapped, raped, dismembered by a stranger. She was found less than 24 hours after being reported missing. He lived within 4 blocks of her.

I pulled up 2 RSO's in the location and one stands out to me very much. His photo fits the profile we've heard from FBI. He is not your "typical looking" RSO. His appears to be well groomed, nice looking, older and fit. This is all speculation. But the location is Very interesting.

Can you say who is posting it on twitter or tell us any hash tags they are using in the posts so we can see what you're talking about?

I don't care what reason there was to dismember a little girl's body. For DNA purposes, for ID purposes, for morbid purposes, for moving purposes... it makes you a sick **** if you can ever do something like that. The thought of doing something like that is sickening. The capability of actually doing it is even worse. It would haunt normal people forever. So to me, it doesn't matter the purpose. It was done, and he needs to rot forever in prison and be put to death because of it.

I didn't mean it would make a difference in why, just saying it makes a difference in the type of person they're looking for. It's either a serial killer who is taunting police, put her where she was found, placed the backpack where it could be found, and it's a game to him. Or they're looking for a person like MH, who is deranged, trying to cover up what he did, placed backpack where it would look like she went that way, like diverting. Then in his mind hid her in a culvert pipe.

Frankly, a person like MH, although just as dangerous, is more likely to be caught faster, because it was obvious to people around him he was dangerous. He made more mistakes. If this person is a serial killer and experienced, he is more calculating, like the Lisk sisters murderer. The last girl abducted got away and the only reason he was caught.

One of our newest members last night said he believed the suspect had walked away or rode his bike from where the backpack was found and I thought, no way. While watching news clips I noticed a male riding his bike where they found her body and I thought it was strange. Hes shown towards the end of the clip.

The man said he was riding his bike on that road, LE told him they would be looking at the property the next day. When he was on his bike the next day, he said LE was already there around noon. Could this be the man in the photo?

Regarding Bike Guy, I feel like maybe he's just a guy who didn't know that he'd be biking into a crime scene and decided to just keep going nonchalantly so as not to look suspicious. I mean, if the video showed a guy biking up to the LE vehicles and then hightailing it outta there, we'd all be talking about how weird that was. If it showed him stopping and gawked at what was going on, we'd talk about how weird that was. The guy was basically doomed to look weird no matter what he did.

Jessica's body was found by workers picking up trash along the highway. I suspect they were using the green garbage truck parked just west of where the body was found. It was still there at sunrise this morning.

Do you think it's possible that she was assaulted in the shack on the hill and that her body was found in the culvert? That would explain why police were investigating the shack and looking on the hill. I'm looking at aerial maps and it doesn't look like the area is easily accessible from the top of the hill, so wouldn't that mean that she was brought to the area from the road? What are your thoughts?

I just watched TLC's 48 hr Mysteries...curious if anyone else here saw it? I missed the beginning but immediately thought of this case. The episode was about a 1997 murder/dismemberment case of a young woman (Peggy Hettrick) whose private parts were removed, body found in a field in Fort Collins, CO. A 15yo boy was wrongly convicted way back (Tim Masters)...had his criminal record sealed in 2009. Murder has not been solved. I realize the victim ages are way off but couldn't shake the feeling it left me with. Here is a link to the episodes. NO. There is no sidewalk at the location where the body was found. The photo was not taken there.

That's what I suspected ... that "not intact" meant that she was mutlilated for the purpose of obscuring identification.

I posted the video that night where the man reporter was talking about it. It was two reporters at the scene. I'll try to find it.
