The caption on this first picture (second picture in the article) states: Farm man: Two people who have worked with the 32-year-old nurse said she met Frazee at a rodeo and began seeing him sometime after her divorce in 2016 (Frazee above tending to goats) Uh, I don't think those are goats...
Those are donkeys.

So is it verified Idaho RN and PF were in Florrisant / Woodland Park on Thanksgiving Day?

I wonder if LE is trying to place Idaho RN at the scene of the crime in KB’s home?

I think KB’s mother have nerves of steel to go through this and make the most bland and neutral public statements about the relationship between PF and KB, in view of what we are hearing now.

CB’s comments about what KB said her T-Day plans were might be very very interesting, given the info that claims another intimate partner of PF’s was in the same city

It's all speculation at this point. There has been nothing confirmed by LE about the Idaho nurse.

I don't think PF is talking, but I can definitely see a scorned woman eliminating her rival and setting up the man who dumped her. Strange things do happen.

So you think this woman is some genius criminal mastermind who set up PF and made it look so good that she fooled all the LE agencies involved, including the CBI, FBI, and the DAs office?

I think the judge should wait until the trial is over and all the facts are out to determine full custody. At this time PF is innocent, and was life insurance a motive?

There is no such thing as "full custody". Where the child is placed in a dependency case is always a temporary decision until and unless parental rights are terminated. In Colorado, the parent typically has one year to get their stuff together and prevent termination of their rights.

I am a lawyer and I can tell you that the CBI and FBI don't present a weak case to the DA. And the DA wouldn't file such a case, especially with no body.

They have to have powerful evidence in order to file in a no body case. Understand that the district attorney is an elected position. So they're careful with how they do things. These aren't light decisions. If they make a stupid mistake and charge with a weak case, that can mean the end of their career.

There is a process to giving evidence to the defense. That's right. It's not just handed to a defendant in jail. But it is given to the defense counsel and they have already received the arrest affidavit by now, which contains probable cause evidence and a packet of the discovery that is available to be released. Much is still being tested or waiting to be tested and other probably hasn't been put together yet.

Yes, there are often problems with the defense getting evidence in a timely manner but they will ultimately get it all.

Everything the state has is going to be handed over.

This isn't a game whereby the state makes up charges and throws everything at the wall to see what sticks. Cases in which an innocent man is charged and convicted are rare, with the exception of faulty eye-witness, mistaken identity cases where they blame the wrong person. And usually those are cases where the suspect is black.

This case doesn't have to do with a witness identifying a guy the police found walking near the scene of a crime. Or who shared the same name as a suspect. Or looked similar. Or whatever.

It's about two weeks at minimum of dedicated police work by top notch state and federal agencies who have incredible technological resources at their hands.

Is it unreasonable to THINK the nurse knows much more than some might assume? If LE was aware of her for some time now, they could have found her rather than her going to them. Either way, they know of her.
Since LE conducted the final search of K’s home & removed large pieces, was someone able to precisely point them to what they missed in prior searches? Someone, maybe, with threat of arrest looming above her?
Someone that possibly was at crime scene or got a detailed report, thereby knowing where evidence could be found?
I think of Nurse Melanie McGuire, aka Machete Melanie. Boy she could clean. She had eradicated all dna in her apartment, iirc, even her dna was gone.

MOO

With everyone being kicked out of the courtroom this morning, I get the feeling that there is more to this that they do not want revealed at this time. Anyone else feel that way?

Sending good thoughts to the Berreth family and the little one that things move positively today and that this is not drawn out endlessly.

I am afraid that the Frazee family is going to bash KB's 'mothering' and also bash her family, in order to try and regain custody themselves.

Green text arecorrections of original post.

Maybe he knew KB’s purse/phone found in the house was a key reason LE and friends suspected CW of foul play from day one.

In CO, most people (even those not planning to disappear someone) know of the colossal blunders that led to CW’s near-immediate demise. PF is doing the opposite, often to equally dopey extremes.

CW: Leave purse and phone in house
PF: Remove purse and phone

CW: Invite reporters into your home. Give televised interviews. Giggle on
PF:
Refuse all interviews. Snarl on camera.

CW: No lawyer.
PF: Lawyer

CW: Make numerous implausible, contradicting statements to LE. Tell
PF:Claim fake trip to Idaho to visit sick grandmother

As we learn more, it will be interesting to see what other CW blunders PF “avoided”.

They are both dimwits.
@Colorado303, I think you have used the wrong initials in your post.
The first sentence should say, KB (Kelsey Berreth), not SW (which is ShanannWatts).

In the dialog, it should be PF (Patrick Frazee) not (SF (Sheila Frazee).
All of us still can't forget the Watts case (especially those who knew them like you). We can't help but compare the 2 cases.

Thanks for joining this KB forum. We appreciate all of the CO posters and farmers, ranchers, horse + rodeo people from other states who share their experience about that life, psychological makeup of people in that world. (ie. @Trudie and the Farm Lady with the steeplechase horse avatar)

I value seeing the photographs taken by CO locals and reading the CO posters (ie. @mustloveco @retiredrickyinCO.

Thanks also to the attorneys for contributing.

I feel like I'm giving an Academy Award speech, but thanks also to @PommyMommy @Gardener1850 @Tippy Lynn) for compiling the big information lists for all of us who can't go through all of the posts.

Thanks to the overseas posters Australia and UK, Germany) and my night owl buddy @MassGuy for being posting in their time zones, so I have someone to sleuth with in Real Time.

Thank you everyone, for trying to help find justice for KB, her baby girl and family. I've missed a lot of names.

I feel bad for my earliest post, where I criticized KB's mom in that first interview that I saw. I now have seen her statement in the first press conference w/ the DA and LE which came before the TV interview. She obviously was very distraught and in a state of shock.

You all were right that in the later TV interview, she was trying to hold back info and do everything in her power to get Kaylee to safety.

IMO

Something smells in Twin Falls

Possible evidence in Kelsey Berreth investigation found in Idaho

: December 23, 2018
"Federal agents and local law enforcement officials in Twin Falls, Idaho, have served several search warrants and “processed some items of evidence” related to the disappearance of Woodland Park mother Kelsey Berreth, Twin Falls police said in a statement.

On Dec. 15, the FBI contacted Twin Falls police and sheriff’s office to request assistance in the ongoing investigation into Berreth’s disappearance, police said in the release. Officials did not provide any details into what evidence may have been found or where authorities had served the search warrants.

Sheriff Tom Carter and Chief Craig Kingsbury said in a joint statement, “We are pleased our organizations were able to provide the assistance and support requested by the FBI, CBI, and the Woodland Park Police Department.”

Yes. Baby K was born in October 2017. Someone used a pregnancy calculator and determined a January 2017 conception date. It was reported that PF went to Washington and moved KB to Colorado in 2016, so she was not pregnant prior to living in Colorado.
MOO
Thanks, PommyMommy! IMHO, PF going to Washington and moving KB to CO suggests a more than casual relationship.

I don't think that is it. They probably think they are best for her and they are probably terrified they will never see her again if she goes to the Berreths. Not saying i support their custody, just that they are probably good people just like you and I, stuck in a nightmare.
Who knows what lies PF may have told his family about Kelsey’s family. It’s plausable the mother, father and/or sister honestly believe she would be better off with them. If so, I think they are wrong but don’t think it means their motives are selfish.

If K has a will & is deceased (found or declared dead), & she has made provisions for her child or future children, with NO mention to P, then what? If she stated her child be raised by her mom, for example, with no mention of P, then what? I’m going on the assumption she had full custody at time a will was created. Tysm

Nothing. Who parents name to care for their child in their will is not binding on any court. It's just evidence of who the parents desired to care for their child and who the parents felt could best care for the child.

Separated, single or divorced parents often ask me whether they can draft a will that will enable custody of their child to go to someone other than the other parent, in the event of their death. But that is not possible.

All they can do is state their wishes so that if the other parent is determined to be in lcapable of caring for the child then there is evidence of who else might be appropriate.

Info from people who know PF:
“He worked on my horses for a real short time till he punched one in the gut with a rasp and that was about the last time I let him work on my horses,” -MG

'It's a characteristic that was ongoing for years. Anytime he was at a rope and his horse didn't act right, he'd rip on his face, kick him. In the community, we were all at ropings and stuff, but if the horse doesn't do exactly what it's supposed to do you don't just beat them.' -MG

'One time we were at a rodeo in Cripple Creek and he got mad because his horse didn't do good and somebody didn't heel just right to help him get in the money and he got so mad he left out of Cripple Creek Rodeo, flipped his horse trailer with his horse in it and almost killed that horse.
'He got mad, tries to get his vehicle out of there and there's too many cars tightly packed in. Lots of people were there. -MG

'He was in a rage of being mad and angry, because the heeler didn't heel and they lost out the money. It was kind of a sad deal, especially trying to get the horse out that was traumatic for everybody.' -MG

A former girlfriend of PF declined to speak to the press but her partner commented saying that he knew Frazee to be aggressive with horses and dogs but that he did not beat his girlfriends.
“He cheated on her while she was in the hospital, take that for what it’s worth,” the man said of his current partner’s former relationship with Frazee

'Patrick is a horseshoer, I heard once he was thumping on the horse "saying this is how you've got to do it," that horse reared up and kicked him right in the forehead, he got a bunch of stitches and his [then] girlfriend hauled him to the hospital to get stitches.' -High School Classmate of PF

'Oh yeah, he's a recluse for sure. I haven't seen him in 10 years or so.' -High School Classmate of PF

A neighbor heard 'mixed things' about Frazee's alleged rough behavior with animals.
He was quiet and shy. He had his own friends circle and stayed close to his friends,' he said.
'He did come across, "I'm a big tough cowboy." But that's that cowboy way, got be strong.
'That's how he was raised, he raised horses. I think if you're raised country that's normal, if you're raised city it's going to seem harsh. It's not wrong in his eyes. Sometimes there's neglect and over abuse yes, he'd tread the fine line on it I'd say. You've got make a horse submit to what you want to do. You've got to be kind of firm. You shouldn't hit them.' --Former Neighbor HF

Two friends of Patrick defended him and rejected any suggestion he was cruel towards animals:

'He's an old fashioned cowboy. He's just old school, he does things the old way. He shoes horses modern, but he trains horses the way people used to do it, I wouldn't say that he's cruel or not. He's a stand up real good guy. I've just known him for years and he's a great person.'
The friend said he had not met Frazee's fiancée but added: 'I know the day I saw him he was a great dad to the daughter and he's a good guy. He was fine. --Man who saw PF shoe horses in Sept.

'I know him, when we had horses he used to trim our horses hooves. He was a very nice young man, I knew him all growing up, we used to go to the Gymkhana and the rodeos when he was younger. I've known him since 2003 and I never saw him do anything inappropriate or out of order.' -DR, runs the propane store

"I've always considered him to be a gentle soul. Soft spoken and just really down to Earth and practical." “couldn’t imagine him doing anything that would harm anyone.” -Friend, SO

"I mean they had plans, you know, they were planning to find a place for them to live and so forth and the economy with prices dropping out...Kelsey's fiance has some cattle and stuff and prices were poor and so the money just wasn't available as soon as they had hoped, but they make it work."-- KB's mom

Thank you for all the recaps.

There is no such thing as "full custody". Where the child is placed in a dependency case there's always a temporary decision until and unless parental rights are terminated. In Colorado, the parent typically has one year to get their stuff together and present termination of their rights.
So will Patrick's desires have any great weight in deciding which family to place her with? It seems so unfair because Kelsey's wishes can't be spoken.
And what is entailed when a parent terminates their rights?
