No doubt interview #3 will discuss the dates. Interview #2 kind of threw it out there like a bombshell. I think we’ll hear an explanation for it. No matter what they have to say, BAD on them for not reporting. Irresponsible and unacceptable. This guy is a lawyer. Normal people who aren’t lawyers would have reported it immediately.
 
Nov 26 is a very odd day to get mixed up with Dec 2

Any date between about No 22 and Nov 28 is always all mixed up in the 4-day Thanksgiving Holiday, as it's all kind of a blur. So, you can easily mix up Nov 26 with Nov 24 , but you ALWAYS know Dec 2 is after Thanksgiving and a completely new frame of mind because you are thinking about Christmas.

I dont buy that they just mixed up the dates.

What was she doing in WP on TG? It doesn't make any sense to put yourself in the same State as the person threatening you never mind same town. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why this tale is being spun. IMHO only :)
And, like other mother's have stated here, if someone threatened to harm my children or grandchildren, they'd better look out. The police would be the least of their worries.

I am nervous they will though, as they haven't charged her yet..

I'd think she was asking for immunity, but LE wasn't giving it because she wasn't giving enough

In an interview exclusive to Gray Television and CBS News, the Rockstahl's tell KMVT about their employee Michelle, Krystal’s best friend and the conversations they were privy to. Michelle has been an employee at Rockstahl Law Office since spring of last year.

People have been critical of the Rockstahl's for a delay in reporting, but they want to emphasize that they had little to no information initially and had nothing to provide law enforcement.

After Patty saw a Facebook post about a missing Colorado mom that sounded familiar, she delivered an ultimatum on Nov. 26 for her employee Michelle to pass along to Krystal.

“I said, ‘Would you please text your friend Krystal and ask her if this is that woman?,” Patty said. She responded quickly and said that it was. “I said, 'Now I’m very concerned. So your friend has 24 hours to go to the police, or I’m calling them.'”

On Nov. 27, Patty learned Krystal got a new phone number and was told Krystal had spoken with law enforcement.

“I don’t know why she didn’t, I don’t know if she was scared,” Patty said. “That’s what got reported back to me. That she had gone to the police. I didn’t know until almost two weeks later that she hadn’t.”

After this realization, Patty contacted the Colorado Bureau of Investigations on Dec. 17 through the number that was posted at the bottom of Cheryl Berreth’s televised plea for help. Michelle immediately called Krystal to let her know, but she wasn’t surprised.

“The FBI was at Krystal’s house,” Patty said. “They had a search warrant and someone of the FBI was at her property. She knew that Michelle would more than likely get called because there was so many phone calls and text messages back and forth in fact some about this incident.”

That's where the Rockstahl's say Kelsey's phone comes into play. When it produced a signal near Gooding, Idaho just days after she was last seen.

"She had the phone," said Patty. "She was probably instructed to send those texts by Patrick but that's-- there's nobody else that could've sent those texts to my knowledge."

The Rockstahls say the two are as close as sisters, but Michelle was not involved in Kelsey’s presumed death.

“She didn’t go with Krystal anywhere to Colorado or anything,” Joe said. “She just listened to her friend.”

However the extent of Krystal's involvement is still unclear. She has not been formally charged with any crime related to Kelsey Berreth's disappearance.
As a lawyer, Joe says charges could still be coming.

"I think she's done enough where she could be charged with aiding and abetting," said Joe.

Despite threats and several weeks of stress, Patty says she doesn’t regret making the call.

“It’s tough for everyone,” she said. “It’s been a very emotional situation we’ve all lost some sleep over this but I’m sure nothing compared to Kelsey’s family.”

By mid-December police announced they were offering a $25,000 reward for information that lead to the location or safe return of Kelsey Berreth.

The Rockstahls tell KMVT they are not accepting any reward money.

They hope that if there’s anyone else watching, who may know something that they have the courage to come forward.

“Be honest, tell somebody, speak up,” Patty said.

Since KIMVT initial aired the Rockstahl's experience, KMVT has been told a couple other people have come forward with information about the case and they say that those details have been given to the authorities.


On Sunday, Jan. 13, you’ll hear about Krystal and Patrick’s relationship and her time spent in Colorado with him.

BUT, there is a little problem with the ultimatum, KB wasn't reported missing until Dec 2. There were no FB posts earlier. Really bad reporting? Bad story from the R's? Who knows? Not buying their "heard it from a friend, who heard it from a friend"

If you play the video you will notice that it is the reporter doing the voice-over who "helpfully" mentions November 26th and November 27th. So far as I see the R's never say those dates.

Channeling my inner Monk ... here's what happened.

The R's said something like (paraphrased)

"I saw a FB post about a missing woman ..."
"The next day I asked employee to ask KK if this is the same woman"
"Employee says KK said yes it was the same woman"
"Told employee to tell KK she has 24 hours to tell the police or I will"

Reporter believes that Kelsey was reported missing on November 25th. Remember there were, and still are, erroneous news reports that kept reporting the November 25th date despite the timeline provided in the initial press conference and the timeline provided a few days later on the Woodland Park Police Department FB Page.

Reporter adds in November 26th and November 27th because if you left the part in the interview that uses relative dates "the next day" and "has 24 hours to " (the day after that) people watching would need to know what days or dates those refer to.

The consequence is: Some people are going to think that the R's had information, including that Kelsey was missing before her family knew, before everyone else which is wrong. Other people are going to think that the R's are inserting themselves in this for some self purpose, 15 minutes of fame, perhaps, and are providing the wrong information.

Due to the shoddy reporting and the media not even using established time lines we end up with useless and confusing information particularly to those that haven't been following closely.

I hope I don't get in trouble for posting this...I just wrote the reporter through messanger that she may want to clarify regarding the dates....that it was impossible that a social media post on Nov 26th regarding KB being missing would prompt the whistle blowers to issue an ultimatum...and that is makes it seem like the interviewees knew KB was missing before it was even reported to law enforcement...
and I got a response right away stating the dates reported were the dates provided by the R's
So it wasn't bad reporting. The R's just mixed up the dates IMO.

How so. How are they gonna mix up Nov 26th, if they flat out asked M about it being Kelsey?
I think they just supplied enough rope to hang all of them.
IN,PF,BFF, and incriminated themselves as well.

If only KB Knew what all these Nasty people knew,she could still be alive,and Baby K would still have her Mommy.

CB should have some input.
Can KK lead to KB’s remains? Is she or her atty refusing to comply until she has a deal? Possibly.
If P was able to persuade her to dispose of the phone, something he could have easily accomplished, what else did he ask her to dispose of? Makes no sense she traveled so far for only a phone. Moo

IMO immunity is unlikely seeing how much it appears KK knew about what was going on, but I could see greatly reduced charges.

The Rs statements are hearsay, but it seems BFF mighf have a lot of info about KKs involvement if she is willing to spill. I think lack of charges might stem from investigators still trying to figure out how involved and what charges (or at least I hope!). MOO

I am speculating, since the dates are accurate according to the reporter, that the facebook posts about a missing woman were coming from KK and friends. Pf's ex went to visit grandma and he hasn't heard from her, weird... I don't know. Just trying to figure out how they heard on FB before the family reported her missing on Dec 2. I think loose lips sink ships...

yeah, this is weird IMO The dates are pretty specific... the 26th, then the next day on the 27th...

The reporter should have asked them right away about the dates, anyone following this case, including the reporters, should know the basic facts at least, and it would have been interesting to hear why PR thinks it was the 26/27th! JMO
 
So... If a phone in question in a investigation pings in a certain spot (tower) would all the pings that correlate with that specific tower date and time be analyzed to see if there is a connection to the phone in question ?
Exp: KB and KK phone pinging in the same spot ? And others possibly.

Watching the video the dates of November 26th and November 27th are both mentioned by the reporter doing a voice over. We never hear PR say those dates.
 
I still think the R’s are in the dark to the whole story, like the rest of us. What they think they know may be far from the truth. I still think someone else is involved who has not been named yet. I do believe KK is involved, and obviously PF is, but I think there’s a bigger bombshell to come.

True, so then what? You don't mix up dates like that, not for something this important and on national TV. Maybe they are tweaking the story because they really believe the sob story they were told. Maybe their employee came to them a second time on Nov 26 and said I think that woman is missing now. So they ask for confirmation, and to tell KK to go to police. But she doesn't..
