Why not? None of us know the nature of the interactions between her and PF. We really know practically nothing. I guess I just don’t understand the degree of venom that so many are directing toward this person that we haven’t even heard from yet. And to do it with such certainty. And it absolutely can be compared to a witchhunt, because those people in Salem were in a lot of cases guilty of something or other, but not something worth dying for.
We have heard from her. Her BFF stated she told her about a solicitation of murder, and she's preparing to plead guilty. And those people in Salem, and beyond, weren't facing murder charges.

It’s good progress, (at least it appears to be at this point).

We have been playing “wait and see” since day 1 but I truly do believe the fact that PF was charged pretty quickly and without a body is proof that the DA has a solid case. It only seems logical that without that body, KL’s testimony will go a long way towards showing jurors that “body” even if there isn’t one. (World’s most awkward sentence..)

I would love to see KL found guilty of every single bit of her involvement but if we have to sacrifice her to make sure he doesn’t go free... I guess it’s the lesser of evils.

Some of y’all are hangry tonight :p

I don't know if this is a 'normal' timeline in cases like this. It almost seemed to me that they were arresting him fairly quickly on limited evidence (what we know, anyway). Perhaps they arrested him when they had enough for a warrant but definitely not enough for a winning case because they were worried about evidence destruction.

Does anyone think there's any chance he'll be granted bail at his next hearing? He could claim hardship - that SF is having difficulty managing without him.

The hangryness is understandable. I think some are assuming she cut a sweet deal and will receive a slap on the wrist. That's really not justice when one considers the victim or her family.

IF KK were to tell LE/investigators the location of Kelsey's body, then wouldn't that be enough to be charged with accessory before, during and/or after or even a murder charge?? Even if she gave a story of PF having just told her about it, wouldn't she still be charged with something pretty serious?? I'd sure hope so.

I think most of us would agree that if someone asked us to take a cell phone home with us to approximately 800 miles away and dispose of it, wouldn't we at least say why and/or whose phone is it, etc etc etc IMO, I would think any story she told about why she disposed of the phone would be nothing but BULL****

IF KK had really been threatened by PF (which I tend to not want to believe her excuse of the being "scared") then once PF was charged and locked up, then wouldn't you feel safe to come forward with what you know? But then again, maybe she has been talking now for awhile or maybe even offering information from the very get-go....I wonder if we will ever know the whole story of her alleged involvement? Yes, I know... I doubt we will but can only remain hopeful we might get more details some day about it all.

A person would think that LE/investigators, etc. had some pretty strong evidence against PF in order to charge him with murder, especially in a no body case, however, one has to wonder maybe they didn't have quite everything they needed so in turn, they offered her a plea deal for her testimony against PF because that is what would put the final icing on the cake per se for the prosection?

This is all JMO, MOO and speculation on my part.

It’s absolutely not normal that he was charged this soon, without a body.

I think this is indicative of the strength of the case against him, and not a rush to execute an arrest.

I see nothing but strength.

Just wondering what her actual legal surname is. Her divorce was in 2016. She's renewed her license since then.

5th District Court News
That is odd. You are supposed to use your legal name for documentation because those medical records are legal documents. I'm sure the case is being brought under her legal name, it's odd that her license is under her married name if it's not her legal name.

The hospital now has cause. I'm confident a nurse entering a guilty plea for a crime involving a murder is grounds for termination. If some want to believe the hospital allowed her to resign, that's okay, too.

JMO

Its all about timing. The hospital I am sure wanted to fire her and maybe they did. But they would need the grounds for that first.

Who is going to find out first that KL was going to be charged and potentially the consequences she agreed to in the plea with LE? KL or the hospital?

KL would in all liklihood have been the one to contact the hospital and let them know that she is resigning because
a) She was charged and would be unable to work -( because she is going to jail)
b) She was part of a criminal investigation that is continuing to be a media circus - which would affect her work
c) She is being charged and will plead guilty.

If it was me, I would have resigned and i doubt I would tell them anything- too embarassing. You don't want more media leaks. You have made a plea deal - or you are working on one- send in a resignation letter.
We probably will never know whether she resigned or was fired, but she had the timing advantage in this case.

I agree. In fact, based just on what we know now, I'd say that lawyer couple have a lot more to answer for, because they sat on knowledge for their own reasons. As officers of the court, they certainly shouldn't have hesitated to get LE involved immediately. LE, not lawyers, has the proper training and resources to decide whether or not a boyfriend's solicitations of murder should be taken seriously or are just hot air.

She may turn out to be a terrible person. I don't know. As a devil's advocate, I would point out that from her standpoint, it probably looks like KB seduced PF, got pregnant to trap him, and then moved to Colorado to further trap him. I'm sure that's pretty close to what PF told her.

In short, she could be a devious devil or just another woman who loved unwisely. I honestly don't know which one I think she is based on what we know now.

I don't want to make a reverse-Karla Homolka error in judgment. I'll wait for facts.

I was more referencing things like questioning the intelligence of the DA

I considered myself to be fairly intelligent but I don’t assume I know more about this case than the people prosecuting it.

Right.

This is just my view point. There are rare occasions that get massive press where a deal was made that in hindsight turns out to be horrific but those are outside the norm. ie Karla Holmolka

It seems to me they have taken their time, lots of time. They asked for the case to be sealed so witnesses couldn't be tampered with. So they could follow up on every angle with KL and PF and determine as well as possible what the truth is.

LE isn't stupid. They knew she could be playing the "he made me do it card". They would have tracked down as much info as they could to refute that, so they wouldn't look like idiots in the end.

Then they can make a decision on how important she is to their case. Does she take this case from very strong to case closed? If so even if she is playing the "i was so scared card", PF isn't free to do this to some other GF down the road. [/b]What is the liklihood of PF killing again vs KL? What is in the best interest of public safety? Even if they would like to see her in jail for a long, long time..

Very good point. Especially the BBM.

I'm thinking with some that anger or maybe bias due to their own personal dealings with the legal system are fueling the skepticism here.

Sorry for the weird bold and italics.

Bbm.

Even if she believed this, helping him conceal a murder makes her a terrible person in my book.

bbm Hangry.. that reminds me to eat dinner! LOL I blame the new moon in Aquarius too ;)

This is interesting, yet not surprising.

BREAKING: Krystal Kenney is facing charges of Tampering with Physical Evidence-Destroy. Formal complaint was filed today, though she hasn’t been formally charged. Plus, prosecutors have a date in question. I’ll explain coming up on @KOAA

Based on the paperwork filed, police believe Kenney destroyed evidence on Nov. 24. That’s two days after Berreth was last seen publicly. #KelseyBerreth #PatrickFrazee @KOAA

She destroyed the evidence on the 24th. The texts were sent on the 25th so this is probably not the phone that was destroyed.
