I think either a) there's a 3rd person yet to be arrested/implicated/named in the murder that may want to harm PF or b) Some of KB's relatives and/or friends are very angry (understandably so) since PF will not say where her body is (or they know where her body is and it cannot be recovered). Scratching my head on that one too. I'd rather he didn't have that vest on myself. just sayin'. moo

HaHa! Well, if it's any consolation, it's not a full frontal vest, so there's that.

Hope springs, NS!

I thought I saw another video where they made the claim that that Patrick portrayed Kelsey as if she were crazy and may hurt the baby. So their story is that he finely told KKL about the baby at the same time he was claiming Kelsey was crazy and would harm the baby? Was he using his claim that Kelsey was crazy as an excuse for his lies? Funny how KKL didn't reach her own conclusion that Patrick was crazy for keeping the engagement and baby a secret from her.
Right. At the same "recent" time that KK supposedly just found out about the engagement and the baby, she claims (R's, MS as mouthpieces) that she also learned KB was crazy, may harm the baby, AND PF solicits KK to murder KB. oh please.

Hard to say, but I think it's a generally close-lipped community. I think early on the local paper had an editorial saying (paraphrasing here) people should quit trash-talking, shut the rumor mill down and let LE do its job. In the first hours after the news about KK broke, the local paper's headline was more judiciously worded than the others I saw. I can't recall the exact wording, but it was more like 'association between local nurse and Colorado accused' or something - very desensationalized.

The local press would probably keep up with rodeo news, I think her folks are kind of local rodeo royalty - mom was also a rodeo queen. Here's some out-of-towners spewing trash about a popular hometown girl and, by extension, her family? Yeah, I can see a bit of local media circling the wagons.

When you get right down to it, no one in Florissant or Woodland Park is really talking, either. I get the feeling that KB didn't have many local friends - just a neighbor or two that she really only knew to say 'hi' to and her co-workers. However, PF's been there for 20 years and the community has still been very close-lipped.

Thanks Ajay. I always found it fascinating that no-one outside family spoke up much about Kelsey, and virtually no-one spoke about PF and her as a couple.

And now no-one talking in Idaho either. (Other than those who have involved themselves publicly). Has this happened in other cases that people recall?

Yes, that was PR: Patty said, "That he felt that Kelsey was going to harm the child, that she was crazy." Frazee clad in bulletproof vest at Thursday's hearing

I don't know if their story is that PF told KKL or if she found out some other way, but I have no trouble believing PF tried to claim KB was crazy and may hurt the baby. He had to have some excuse to justify the solicitation, and yes, he could have told KKL this at the same time she found out about the engagement and baby K.

It wouldn't surprise me if we never hear a satisfactory explanation as to any conclusions KKL reached. I don't buy "she was scared." Not an excuse.
MOO

I don't buy "she was scared."

I don't either.

In the simplest terms, I cannot believe for one second that PF could even make KKL scared. Just scared in general. Exactly how could PF make her be scared? They live 800 miles apart. No, KKL was never scared of PF. It is an absurd concept.

And I'm not even referring to making KKL so scared that she had to participate in the murder of a mother. That is absurd to unprecedented levels.

If that was the case, how can the police be certain that she is dead? IMO he made a mess, but had plenty of time for a cleanup and the police probably discovered evidence on their second visit to her house.

If KKL went to the FBI early on, then LE would know from that point forward that KB was dead. Searching the condo for evidence, and announcing that they believe KB died in the condo, might well have been announced in the reverse order from how they happened. We will certainly know more when they reveal. IMO

First meme I've ever made. Please share it.

By keeping silent, they all helped her killer.

What gets me is why don't these "journalists" point out the obvious to their interviewees? Like, "Well, M, we already know that K HAS been charged and has pleaded guilty and has been given a sweet deal for her future testimony against PF. This tells us that she is so much more involved than just 'transporting' the phone. What do you make of that M?" Instead they feed us all this tripe!

I would imagine a lawyer decided in advance what would be allowed into the interview. The questions and answers were agreed upon and the lawyer got to approve a final cut. MOO

Edited to admit my redundancy! You all have been saying this all day!

I know that many disagree with me, but I do believe that KK was scared and that fear was a driving force in her involvement. It's not an excuse and she should certainly be held accountable for her actions/ lack of action (I'd love to see the eventual sentence include at least some jail time, but I doubt that will happen), but I think that she is weak more than evil. Clearly PF is a manipulator and an all around not great guy, and I'm sure that hindsight is 20/20. I'll be interested to learn more as additional details come to light.

I'm kind of baffled by MS willingly inserting herself into the situation. Going on TV to basically say "oh hey, just a reminder that I also knew details of this case that could have possibly changed its outcome" doesn't seem like a good decision from any angle, IMO.

I agree that fear COULD have driven KKL’s involvement. But all we have to go on is what the Rs and MS said. I’m not going to firmly give her the “fear” pass until I know more about the circumstances. What was it about his threats that made her feel that she had no other option? That’s what I’m waiting on.

I don’t know why the Rs and MS have been so willing to be interviewed so early in this case, unless it’s for the publicity for their business.

Why do you believe KK was scared and that fear drove her involvement?

I think it's absolutely plausible that PF threatened her life and/or the life of her children and that she disposed of the phone out of fear of that threat when she otherwise would not have.

If KK was the person who was solicited by PF for the murder of KB, we know (or at least can assumed due to the plea deal) that she declined. We don't know whether she took him seriously at that point, and we don't know exactly when in relation to the murder she arrived in town. I'm not a KK apologist at all- as I said, I hope to see her do some actual time. I'm just comfortable waiting for more information as to how all of this went down before making a judgement call about whether this was all planned from the start, or if KK was sucked in later on, was threatened by PF, and made some incredibly stupid decisions. My gut says the latter. I'm okay with being proved wrong down the road, though. :)

I totally agree. And I'm not even going to give her a fear "pass" regardless- the outcome is the same, and the outcome is inexcusable. I just find the absolute refusal of a lot of people to even consider the possibility that fear played a role in this to be kind of baffling, I guess.

Ha! That sounds about right.

I throughly enjoy watching these people implode, as they come out to defend her.

I can’t wait to see who she rolls out next.
No,no! I hope they don't do that. If I see one more person interviewed that defends KK before the 19th, I think I'm going to blow a gasket! There can't be THAT many stupid people in Twin Falls, can there?

Dave, you forgot the *huge eye role*!

You know, I have been giving this a lot of thought lately, And I now have an alternate theory that makes sense to me:
PF was only wearing a light fleece vest the day he was arrested, so he doesn't have a winter coat hanging at the jailhouse for those icy day travel occasions. It could be that the jailers were concerned about him catching a cold on their watch, and rooted around until they found that brand new heavy vest that fit him very well. Didn't the sheriff say something about it being their job to protect?
IMO
(eye roll)

I think an Idaho potato could do a better job of defending KK.

I’m sick of it myself.
