Alternate interpretation (tweet) of alleged statements by PF after KB went missing:

Prosecution says one of the statements is relative to the time #PatrickFrazee was working to solicite. He says Frazee met a hit man in Breckinridge and that’s how he knew hot to go forward with the plan. @KKTV11News

Prosecution says there are two other witnesses after #KelseyBerreth went missing that #PatrickFrazee told them similar statements to knowing how to handle a murder. Defense says one of the statements is from two years before this happened. @KKTV11News

ETA: I believe this more clear that this was not about statements PF made for the first time after KB missing, and prior to his arrest. Reference is to witnesses coming forward after KB missing that provided comments by PF -- said to them in the past.

Dan May says there are two witnesses that can detest to #PatrickFrazee abusing cattle at an earlier time with a similar weapon he used to allegedly kill #KelseyBerreth. @KKTV11News

The judge says this is difficult because he doesn’t have a police report or affidavit about the animal abuse. He says witness testimony would be about #PatrickFrazee harming the animals. @KKTV11News

Judge says this is not material fact for the court. He says this doesn’t have any tendency to make the fact more or less probable without the evidence. @KKTV11News #KelseyBerreth #PatrickFrazee

There was an allegation of mistreatment by #PatrickFrazee with a cattle stick.
Judge says this isn’t relevant to the case based upon evidence he has. Judge denied testimony from that witness. @KKTV11News #KelseyBerreth

That was my impression too when I first read it but it’s oddly worded if that’s the case. I’d think the prosecutor would say “missing victim” or “missing body”. Referring to Kelsey simply as a missing person is probably something DA’s office would want to avoid.

I’m reminded of posts a while back saying KK was missing. Perhaps that rumor was born from people leaping to conclusions after hearing inside info that “they can’t find someone”. Even if we don’t know where KK is I’m sure the prosecution does. If the rumor recirculates I’m going on the record now fo say IMO it’s not KK they’re referring to.

Re the comment PF made about killing someone after KB disappeared—if it was a threat towards someone else, would that not have resulted in an additional charge? I’m wondering if that comment was more along the lines of “yeah, I’ve killed before” or “I know how to get someone killed, why would I do it myself”.
I’m not sure anymore.
I remember you from the CW threads. Do you think you will attend this trial? It would be so awesome for a local to be there and give us updates. :)
I’m afraid the judge is going to nix tweets altogether.

One of those has to be the gf who is now serving time. That’s what PF told her.

That ruling concerned two such allegations. The judge said he will rule on a third piece of evidence that hits at Frazee's character at a separate hearing outside the presence of the jury, once the trial has started.

Also in the context of abusing animals. Maybe something will come in after all.

That makes sense.

I don't believe this was reference to statement PF said for the first time after KB missing and prior to his arrest, but witnesses that came forward after KB disappeared --they provided statements PF previously made to them.

MOO

And the #PatrickFrazee hearing is over. Court is going into closed session soon for discussion on jury selection. I'll have a story soon at http://gazette.com . @csgazette #KelseyBerreth

This is a good article. There’s mention of KB discussing with a coworker the gift of a cup of coffee from a stranger. I’m glad KB thought it was odd and I’m sure she threw it away. So Since KK said she poisoned it, isn’t that attempted murder?

I realize there is talk now that KK did not put poison in the coffee. But early on KK said she put poison in the cup while she was still in Starbucks after the purchase.

Wow her deal with the prosecutors is like a free ride after confessing to two murder attempts. The second one was with the metal rod where she backed out.

That woman needs to be locked away from society. She’d dangerous.

I’m excited to hear what KB said about SF to coworkers. Hope that comes in. Also, of course, the 2-5 phone call.

The beating a horse with a baseball bat? Wth! People were really questioning accounts of animal abuse or downplaying them as that’s just how we do things in the country. I find t repellent and a good indicator of character.

I know a couple farmers. Friends in NZ and relations in Australia. We’ve spent time with them. I observed. To my knowledge they don’t beat animals.

Ha! I was watching a news piece about how one particular farm uses music to soothe cattle.

Contrast that with PF, and his propensity to utilize the old Louisville Slugger.

I wish I could, but it’s a 3 hr drive and I need to work. There are some other WSers who live closer and may be able to attend.

Can someone explain why live tweets aren’t ok but an end of the day news story would be? I would think a witness would be just as likely to see a story as read a tweet. Could the judge ban any summaries of trial activity until after the case is over? That would be even worse!

No, the judge couldn’t put a gag order on the media, thank God. They can do that in other countries, but it would be unconstitutional here.

I guess the argument is that a witness outside the courtroom could be following the case via live Tweet, and that could influence their testimony.

Patrick Frazee murder hearing: 'Bludgeoning of cow' allegations made

CRIPPLE CREEK — A judge denied prosecutors’ last-minute bid to air accusations at trial that Patrick Frazee bludgeoned a cow sometime before investigators say he beat his fiancée to death with a baseball bat at her Woodland Park townhome.

The ruling by 4th Judicial District Court Judge Scott Sells highlighted a flurry of moves by prosecutors and defense attorneys in Frazee’s final court appearance before the Florissant man heads to a nationally-watched trial later this month.

What a headline that made, huh? MOO

I agree and it seems unconstitutional. This judge is bending over backwards for PF in my opinion. We will never get the full story.

I understand about your job. Maybe another WS member can attend.

I wish dad with a phone from WP could attend but they want to keep him out also, at least he could give nightly updates. May not be MSM but let’s face it, even MSM gets it wrong most of the time. (Sorry Sam! We know you try.)
