ML= her car found at Catamount Recreational area near Divide
TW= found dead at Limbaugh Canyon
DN= living between CO Springs and Woodland Park

I wouldn't wonder if the cases are connected. Perhaps you would have to cross a canyon or a creek to find ML, where nobody would think she could be because of the terrain.

The Teller County Sheriff’s office is requesting that if anyone has seen Ms. Lambert or if anyone saw her vehicle which was parked in the Catamount Recreational Area parking lot sometime between September 24th and September 29th, to please call our tip line: 719-687-9652, option 5 and please leave a callback number.

I had read that article before but never noticed they were asking about seeing her car there even after she was reported missing.
I was under the impression she left her friends house on the 23rd to go hiking and since she didn't come back they reported her missing on the 24th.
I suppose they may think she remained out of contact with her friend for more than one day due to her health issues. But it sounds like they may believe someone else had her car.

ETA: The woman is seemingly not ML.

A clue to a missing 39-year-old Colorado Springs woman's whereabouts arose Friday evening, when her SUV was found abandoned in the Catamount Recreational Area parking lot in Teller County.
-.-.-
Search teams have used every daylight hour since the SUV was found to comb through an area extending as far as 7½ miles from the parking lot where Lambert's car was found, Johnson said.

The rugged terrain has been "an enormous challenge" for searchers, he said. Some areas have been steep, and others have been marshy. The search is expected to continue through Tuesday, he said.

<modsnip> My blasted PC will not open your link on a female body having been discovered.

Would you (or anybody here) please, please copy/paste some text from said link??

This article states the woman found, died of hypothermia and no foul play is suspected. They have identified her from the tattoos shown in the article but are not releasing it yet.
(Sorry foxbluff. I can't copy and paste.)

Thanks so much Shire! My third attempt to open a link here today actually worked. I've copied/pasted from your link:

PUEBLO, Colo. A woman who was found dead near Fountain Creek in Pueblo on January 23 has been identified, according to police.

A jogger found the woman's body near Fountain Creek just north of the East Eighth Street bridge around 5:30 p.m. An autopsy determined she died of hypothermia. Police said there was no evidence of foul play.

Police sent out a request Friday asking for the public's help identifying the woman. They said Tuesday that thanks to numerous tips, they have confirmed the woman's identity

This link was posted on TW thread by Bill Carson so I thought I would also post it here. It shows the facilities at the Catamount trail head and the views of the trail and Pikes Peak NF.

Ty for this "Elder-Fehn Trail" link.

This caption under the second map shown "This is the map at the trailhead. The detail leaves a lot to be desired"

AND

these words appearing on the map image "Leave No Trace" give me an eerie feeling. Almost like a description of ML's case. Imho.

BBM - That's raises a red flag...makes it sound as though somebody staged a crime scene, Imho.
