GUILTY CO - Paige Birgfeld, 34, Grand Junction, 28 June 2007

DNA Solves

DNA Solves
Well there has been no news on our local stations in regards to this case. I think I remember reading about the warrants on this case have been sealed by the judge.

I am sure LE is keeping an eye on the only suspect in this case. I continue to hope and pray they can arrest him and soon....

There's no other thread here other than than this.

After two years, it's normal that threads, forums and media articles have disappeared.

I guess we need our scissors and the newspaper to keep track.

Threads don't disappear...if someone posted a few years ago, it should still be on here somewhere...

I read one article that said Lester Ralph Jones is still the prime suspect.

I do hope that we get more information about the DNA evidence soon. We know that cause of death cannot be determined because it took a long time for her body to surface in the dessert ... but there was clothing found at the site that may include DNA evidence (perhaps LCN Dna?) ... the suspect that did this should be prevented from terrorizing other women.

I read one article that said Lester Ralph Jones is still the prime suspect.

Is that the guy from the RV shop next door to where the burned out car was found? ... right next to the main office of Paige's escort business?

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- The person or persons behind the death of Paige Birgfeld remains a mystery.

Since Paige Birgfeld's body was found in early March, Frank has wanted to put her remains to rest and put an end to this tragic story. However, he has been unable to do so because he cannot receive his daughter's remains from the coroner's office.

Frank claims due to some previous complications he's had with the Mesa County District Attorney's Office and Mesa County Sheriff's Office, he believes, "They're jacking around with my family...

Haven't forgotten Paige. :seeya:
I wonder if they are keeping her remains so that a defense can do their own exam on them?

In September 2013 local officials took her story to cold case experts in Denver in hopes that a fresh perspective could help them answer key questions about the murder mystery.

Back in September District Attorney Pete Hautzinger said he expects a lot more time to pass before local authorities make any decisions on the suggestions made at the meeting...

In an email sent by Paige's father, Frank, he said their family has no confidence that the Mesa County Sheriff's Office has the capability to solve this crime.
