GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- A witness in a local murder trial was sentenced Friday after being charged with contempt of court during a major murder trial.
Carolyn Linderholm, a friend of Birgfeld, took the stand to testify Thursday. She reportedly helped with Birgfeld's Models Inc. escort business.
As she was leaving the courtroom, she looked at Jones, and called him a murderer.
She was sentenced to 24 hours of useful community service, according to the judge.
Before the outburst, the jury heard testimony from law enforcement about phone records obtained from Paige and others in the days leading up to the Grand Junction moms disappearance in 2007.
The jury saw logs showing who called her, who she called and where she was when those calls were made.
