My point is, if people only post the positive but keep negatives out, that's not accurate representation of what is going on. But yet when something like this happens, others look at social media for clues, as if that was an accurate representation.

Oh, I agree with you. I know any FB page, unless brutally honest, good and bad, is not an accurate representation of a person or family. We clearly do not know the true Watts relationship. I overall do not like SM much. I feel like I do not fit in there well. That’s why I let my wife post most of our family stuff. I am an introvert, and she is the extrovert. It is just a weird universe to me I guess, FB and the like.

Christopher Watts to be served charging documents in jail cell for Frederick slayings

“The Weld County District Attorney's Office plans to serve a Frederick man accused of killing his pregnant wife and two young daughters with documents informing him of the charges on Monday — but he will learn of those charges in his jail cell and not in a courtroom.“

Is that common to inform a plaintiff of their charges in their jail cell rather than the courtroom? Why would you do that?

Do we have any idea if he had any hobbies at all? Hiking, fishing, hunting, working on old cars, toy trains, stamp collecting, gardening?

I dont have any idea of anything that interested him from comments that others have made. He had a busy wife who was away a lot. He had two small pre-school girls that relatives could take care of. I think they had a dog? I remember some comment about them owning an older (not collectible) Mustang. The only thing he did other than work was go to the gym.....

He seems very bland and almost featureless, until he bulked up from the gym stuff and changed into a buff guy.....

Sports. Chris Watts (@WattsTastic) on Twitter

Interestingly, one of the only not sports things he posted (besides a couple pro LE and pro military tweets), was a recent one about the guy who stole he plane and killed himself. No other news-related items except the pro cop ones.

The mark on Chris Watt's neck in this video looks odd to me because it doesn't look like a shaving issue caused by a razor, it looks like a scratch but on reviewing the video on an enlarged screen it does look like a bite mark. I am surprised it hasn't been noticed sooner or maybe it has already been noted.

Could it just be a zit? Even at my old age of 42, I still get the occasional one here and there. That is what it looks like to me. Could be a gouge from a fingernail possibly.

Old article, just wanted to note nobody’s talking;

“Watts was fired on Wednesday, the same day he was arrested, the company said. He did not respond to reporters' questions when he was escorted into the courtroom Thursday.

Merson, Watts' attorney through the Colorado State Public Defender's Office, left Thursday's court hearing without commenting to reporters. He did not respond to multiple messages seeking comment by The Associated Press.“

I call it FAKE book..I am on it all the time. My friends say that I am more honest on mine as I tend to post good/bad stuff that happens. I never post the really horrible stuff or the most wonderful days. I mainly use it to be able to contact family /friends and then do private messages.

From the link:
"In Weld County, the return of filing charges date is an administrative court date that is held at the clerk's office," White said. "We will electronically file the charges and since the defendant is in custody, he will be served the paperwork by the Weld County Sheriff's Office in jail."

She added that Christopher Watts is scheduled to appear in court in person on Tuesday to be read his rights regarding the charges. He currently faces three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of tampering with a deceased human body, although that could change.

“According to a June 2015 bankruptcy filing, Christopher Watts had gotten a job six months earlier as an operator for Anadarko, and paystubs indicate his annual salary was about $61,500. Shanann Watts was working in a call center at a children's hospital at the time, earning about $18 an hour — more for evenings, weekends or extra shifts she sometimes worked.“

Snip

“The couple had a combined income of $90,000 in 2014. But they also had tens of thousands of dollars in credit card debt, along with some student loans and medical bills — for a total of $70,000 in unsecured claims on top of a sizable mortgage.

They said in the filing that their nearly $3,000 mortgage and $600 in monthly car payments formed the bulk of their $4,900 in monthly expenses.“

“The case has focused attention on Colorado's lack of a law allowing homicide charges in the violent deaths of fetuses, which is the case in 12 states. Proposals to allow homicide charges in the violent deaths of fetuses in Colorado have been stymied by debate about how to avoid infringing on abortion rights.

Republican lawmakers last tried to change the law after a 2015 case in Boulder County. A woman named Dynel Lane was charged with attempted murder and unlawful termination of a pregnancy for cutting open a pregnant woman's belly and removing her unborn baby girl. Prosecutors said they could not charge Lane with murder because a coroner found no evidence the infant lived outside the womb.

State law does allow a homicide charge if a fetus was alive outside the mother's body and then killed. State lawmakers in 2013 also allowed prosecutors to add extra felony charges against anyone who commits a crime that causes the death of a fetus.“

(ETA: the above case referenced was horrific. I’m sure many of you remember that. Poor pregnant woman responded to an ad on Craigslist for baby clothes. This monster woman cut out her fetus, the baby died. I saw something recently where the victim said she forgives her.)

90k a year is basically 60k after taxes per year. And their bills seemed to be up there or more.

Plus trips and spending and that can create massive debt. Jmo

Thanks

I was directed to a counselor by my MD when I asked for a sleep / anti-anxiety aid to get through this. Never filled the RX but went faithfully to the counselor and I consider that the best thing that could have happened to me. I read blogs and learned about narcissism / sociopathy and what to expect, what to do. It took a while to find the right people to listen to. Many want you to buy their on-line programs....... which I refused to do.

If you know someone who is being abused or has been abused, counseling can be immensely helpful. It takes a long time to get over some of this and horrible and sad things come back without you being able to control them. Through my counselor, I've learned that this is expected and normal and part of the healing process of your mind and heart. At one point she was worried I was displaying PTSD symptoms because my abuser kept coming back and trying to get back into my life. We came up with a strategy and I have a plan that has restored serenity and I move on

I heartily support getting a counselor and working on yourself, not relying on medications.

I am so happy for you that you chose this route. It isn't just the healthiest it is also the longest lasting because you learn to develop your own ways to deal with the lingering thoughts and feelings in the aftermath and you learn to find ways to notice this behavior in men in your life as well as those you might be interested in having a long term relationship with. Counselors also encourage you to do outside reading which opens an entirely new wealth of knowledge.

My experience happened in my early 20's and I am now nearing 60 soon. I went to counseling after as well and did a lot of reading at the library. Let me just say that time does heal wounds and you will get to a point where it is no longer in your thinking until you see someone else experiencing it. It doesn't bring me pain though (I don't sit there and recall and reimagine the entire relationship) rather makes me want to reach out and help someone who is currently living it. Kind of like a vocal victims advocate. I am very passionate about it and willing to help someone in that position in anyway I possibly can. I even volunteered on an abuse hot line where any one of those women calling could have be me had I let it go on too long. These days though I am more involved with young women that I know and that are vulnerable and naive to this type of man. Knowledge is power.

A final note. I can tell you that when the time comes that you feel beyond all of it one of the best and most rewarding things you can do is to help others to either avoid men like this or those already feeling trapped and living in this hell. You just have to be prepared that the latter can be very frustrating because many women already know what they need to do, they just aren't ready to do it. At the end of the day you can feel you "failed" but you can't think like that. I learned that for some people it takes calling hot lines or being in shelters many, many times to finally decide to leave for good, especially when children are involved.

Good luck to you in your healing journey :)

Not only were his eyes smiling, but so was his mouth. He was LOVING the attention, and thinking he was going to get away with it. IMO.

I don't know. To me he seemed emotionless where he shouldn't be (no real concern at all for his family) and I saw the dupers delight (which I don't think means they're overall having a blast) but I don't think he was enjoying the attention or the thought of getting away with it.

He was holding his body close and rocking. He also swallowed hard a couple times. Dude isn't like you or me, that's for sure, but I think he was feeling some uncomfortable stuff inside.

"My heart is racing."

I think that was probably true.

Frederick police say they have 2-3 days of interviews to finish in Chris Watts case

“Law enforcement officials told Denver7 Friday that Chris Watts is in protective custody and being isolated from other inmates at the Weld County jail because of the publicity the case has received and say they still have several days of work to do before Monday’s deadline for charges to be filed.”

“The sheriff’s office additionally said that Watts is not currently able to receive visitors because he hasn’t been in the jail system for long enough.“

Just popping in to say...my sister sold the Thrive patches. They contain an incredible amount of caffeine. Trying to get off of the patches made you feel awful. I had horrible headaches and felt so shaky. This may experience with them. This is especially true if you take the accompanied pills.

Chris Watts..thrive patches, buffed up (possible steroids), brain issues..reminds me of Chris Benoit (those murders were also horrific )
