This whole swiping of the internet presence/SM a week before, thinking about this, could there be any other possible reason (other than premeditation)? It seems this would be the obvious answer, some sort of premeditation, but why specifically? He didn’t want to be remembered? If premeditated was he going to try to run?

Also sure some people scrub their SM for ordinary reasons, but why specifically this at this time IF this was not premeditated? Could he have been hiding from someone? Idk just thinking out loud, maybe he owed people money. Again did he gamble or go to Black Hawk? A lot of crazy speculation here I know, just brainstorming. Was someone blackmailing him? I feel like I’m over thinking everything. Or maybe not...so why else might he scrub it? I’m really to trying to figure out this aspect of premeditation here. I suppose we will find out tomorrow or Tuesday. As I said I’m catching up in the media thread, going back to thread1 now, again thanks for your patience, I’m sure you guys already commented on a lot of this as you were sleuthing, I was super swamped in Mollie’s thread at the time that all this was unfolding. Then I got all distracted on “FAs”, reading backwards etc..

Does he have a LinkedIn? (Why would this even matter now?) I’m getting too carried away with this nutjob.

When I think psychopath I don't see someone like CW. A psychotic break would have him much less able to follow thru with the things he did to his family, plus being interviewed by tv journalists. He doesn't seem out of touch with reality at all. He seems/seemed totally in charge & in control of himself other than the "tells" during interviews.

I guess I've got to let this go for now.

If this happens, I wouldn’t mind attending the trial. Can anyone just go? I know some of you have actually been in the courtroom for some of these cases. I imagine it will be full with family members, etc. I don’t want to intrude, take up space for the important people, etc but would certainly find it interesting. Particularly on the part of the defense.

I went to the Challenger explosion hearings it was incredible! But back in those days you did not have to walk a mile and a half to have a smoke.

I wonder how the friend and police got inside the house? Our daughter's ex phoned police for a well-check but police only came to the front door. When she didn't answer they left and came back later. Her neighbor told her about it.

He saw the friend at the door with his doorbell surveillance app and blew red lights getting there. Someone said that the friend called the police with CW there. An article said that LE got there at about 1:38 p.m. I suppose with her there, he had to act concerned and rush into the house and perhaps she followed him in.

He apparently did have FB but he deactivated it before the murders. His Twitter account is still up. Although he didn't do much on Twitter, his last tweet was a reshare on Sunday. So what did he do-wake up, make breakfast for the kids, take them to a birthday party, pull out the phone for a re-tweet, and then kill the kids? What a bizarre day.

She could have filled out release of information forms and had them on file at the doctor’s office.

What if she just called the doctor's office and said, "I have a friend in your office. I am supposed to have lunch with her but have to cancel. Would you give her the message?" Would they say that she was not there?

Also, some of her friends always got a text from her in the mornings and did not get a text that day. That alerted them that something was wrong as well.

In the Teleka Patrick case, there was a website you could enter Instagram and Twitter names, and it showed ALL posts, public, private, and deleted. Anyone remember what that site was? Maybe some of his can be found that way, though I don't think it will reveal a motive or even a glimpse into his mind.

My husband a d his friend run one of the biggest fantasy football sites out there, they even have their own weekly radio show, and he is going to search through the forums to see if CW was active there. (Why the heck am I so curious about this guy? Why am I spending so much time on this guy? The victims have been found and he is in custody. I want to know why and how this happened!!!! Maybe there is no answer other than he’s crazy. And that there’s just no understanding it any way around.)

That’s what is particularly scary to me. That if I was single or younger...many could be attracted to a guy like him I’m sure and never even imagine he could be capable of such a thing. Poor Shanann.

This is a very blatant reminder to me that someone can be attractive on the outside and terrible on the inside.

The friend N probably had the best insight into Shanann's life - behind the happy successful social media hype, Shanann would tell her friend if she was unhappy in her marriage, especially if the problems started out as minor exasperating issues, that turned into a pattern, and the friends were talking regularly, and N was making her own judgments (usually harsher than the wife).
There was a similar case in Australia where a dedicated mother did not show up for canteen duty on Monday morning and her kids were not in school that day either. After calling home and getting no answer, her friends called the police immediately, and the police were on the scene within an hour of the call. Friends know.
