Freedom of speech is in our Constitution which I do respect. Nobody is forced to listen or agree with any opinion. That's reality. JMO
And yet, yelling "fire" in a crowded theater is against the law. Verbally berating someone and saying you're going to kill them, is a "terroristic threat" and against the law. Using language that is derogatory in regards to race, religion, gender, etc., can be a "hate crime". There are slander laws and libel laws that have been successfully used, even against the media, specifically because it has been recognized that there is a point that should not be passed. This is a reality also!

Did they discuss "the letter" last night as promised?
Not surprised the pod people are on a break. Agree they have bitten off far more than they can chew. Their approach has been so casually, callously clueless.
Yes, and it was strange and nonsensical. I was unable to hit "rewind" since it was live to see if I missed something. Jay stated that there was a statement (letter) addressed to no one in particular, allegedly written by CW in handwriting (not typed) and signed by him with his name also printed. It was a couple short sentences or statements. It had allegedly been written by CW when he was at his parents' house in NC during the week he was there about a week to 12 days before the murders. He sealed it in an envelope, allegedly, and said only if something bad happens to him, it should be opened. Jay claimed MRS received the letter and read it (???) in the last 24 hours and were no longer in possession of it as of last night. She would not reveal its contents but promised to do so after sentencing. When asked to confirm if it said what had been leaked - that if he was killed, it was SW who did it, she said "something along those lines" but not exactly. That is all she would say. What she said appears to be in conflict somewhat with Cindy's version to a reporter who said it was turned over to the defense previously and might have been destroyed (which makes no sense at all...but whatever). Perhaps MRS received a copy? I do not know.

Thank you for that!

Wow, mom and daughter need to coordinate their stories.

I truly believe CW is guilty- 100% guilty. This is all on him, he killed them all.

I’m against every single bad or negative comment Mrs. Watts has said about Shan’ann, but his mother didn’t kill anybody and as much as I don’t like or agree with the things she’s said or how she’s conducted herself. I have some compassion for her, but not fine and dandy.

I haven't seen enough compassion shown for the Rzuceks which is quite unusual given their daughter, 2 granddaughters and unborn grandson were murdered. It's all about Mrs Watts and her having the last say about Shanann. Maybe, there was some unfinished business between the two, idk, and SW being murdered isn't stopping her.

If Mr or Mrs Rzucek were running down CW in public (they haven't, what class! ), I would hope people would have compassion for them but I somehow doubt it, 'they have to think about the Watts and what they're going through, they've lost their son to the prison system.....'

That would certainly prove premeditation, he was prepared and not a reaction or premeditated in the moment, an altercation that he decided to end with murder.
If nothing else, unless he did laundry that Monday night, the clothes he was wearing when he handled their dead bodies would surely be identifiable by cadaver dogs. I don't think he was expecting those dogs to show up at his house next day. (hehe!)

Ha! I hope so but that is not the version they are telling. They say they are having technical problems and it would be resolved soon - they were awaiting a "help ticket" to resolve it. That's all I know.
I read on another site they were kicked off which is usually an end of the road career killing move.

Another reality is that the law doesn’t require people to be nice. Name calling, belittling, condescending and nasty remarks towards another person would likely fall under this reality and is not considered a hate crime or threatening.

I cannot help but contrast Shanann’s family in all of this media madness. If anyone has a reason to give anger-filled interviews, it’s the Rzuceks. I have little doubt they are angry. They are grieving as well. They have lost their daughter and grandchildren. They have lost the son in law they thought they knew.

CW has admitted that he murdered his entire family. He’s admitted he lied about their daughter being a killer. But, if the Rzuceks have publicly said a nasty word against CW, I have missed it.

All they have done is ask the authorities not to seek CW’s death in their name and declare their intention to defend the memory of their daughter.

If anyone out there is looking for an example of how to balance what is certainly a private hell with public dignity, they are as good as I’ve ever seen.

Jmo.
Well said. The Rzuceks don't want revenge just justice. No death penalty.

My post quoted a post with the Watts as the subject of discussion. However, I have an enormous amount of sympathy and compassion for the Rzucek family. :(

Thank you so that means East Coast 8am. I do not have Facebook so I hope some good poster here will give us a live thread pleaseeeeeeee? Glad I asked because I thought I had read somewhere that it was going to be in the afternoon but could not remember where I read it to go back and check.

deleted by me, dupe

It would depend on where and how it was done. Society also reserves to itself the right to judge if someone has gone beyond accepted boundaries, and to take action. A recent example would be Rosanne. As I said; there are slander laws and libel laws that have been successfully used, even against the media, specifically because it has been recognized that there is a point that should not be passed.

Well said. Prison has been called; "the belly of the beast". CW may find out why, or he may find a home. Very sad, but true.

I really believe that CW will like his new home. he seems to like to be ordered around, told what to do, when to do it. He is not very social and likes routine and solitude. He will have his admirers among the inmates, as he is handsome and buff. He won't have to worry about bankruptcies or HOAS anymore. he will be free to live a quiet life, and he will be fine, imo.

Yes, I guess I am looking at it from the perspective that most people would want to minimize just how awful their son is, of course ridiculous on my part to expect his mother to view and frame anything in any way other than anything he did shows “Shanann made him do it”.

I would think the easiest way of killing all members is by medication: drugged them all, so they died.
Then CW does not have to look at them, while murdering them.
This perhaps would be easiest to stomach by the public, instead of brutally beating, strangling, suffocating.
MOO.

WOW! Didn't realize I've been here all day! I have to go and prepare dinner and have a glass of wine. Maybe 2 glasses of wine, to cleanse my palette. Including my mental and emotional palette. Such a hard and tragic case.

Another day closer to Monday, everyone be well and safe. Kudos to all.
